    I came across and followed the original video for the striping kit. I inadvertently already opted for the bolting mod. I had chosen to do sand already as well, so that is awesome! Although, from Lowe’s, all the materials cost $65 last week.

    How you managed to keep a straight face while glowing about that floppy rake is worthy of a like.

      Floppy or not, saved me $100+ and it works like a champ.

    This are all great ideas. I wonder if filling the pvc with quick set concrete will add enough weight to it. I'll be definitely be making this and the soil probe.

    I have the same mower and came across this video after I built your original lawn striping video. What size bolts and nuts for the holes where your rear flap was? What is the ideal weight for the lawn stripper? Thanks

    • @TheLawnDaddy
      @TheLawnDaddy  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not sure of the exact size for the nuts and bolts, I just use bolts I had that fit. You generally want the stripper to weigh at least 10 lbs, the wore it weighs the more the grass will lay over.

    Great ideas! How did you dispose of the oil?

    • @TheLawnDaddy
      @TheLawnDaddy  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      My local gas station has a repair shop attached to it, they take old oil for free and dispose of it safely.

    Will the bag still fit doing this.

    • @TheLawnDaddy
      @TheLawnDaddy  ปีที่แล้ว

      I believe it will Yes, I usually side discharge when I put the stripe kit on.

  • @danieladame1034
    @danieladame1034 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    When using the striper, do you have to go over the lawn several times like that? Or that optional?

    • @danieladame1034
      @danieladame1034 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Also, can you bag the grass or does it have to be mulched?

    • @TheLawnDaddy
      @TheLawnDaddy  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can bag it but the bag may get in the way of the striper.

    • @TheLawnDaddy
      @TheLawnDaddy  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You dont have to go over it several times but doing so will make the stripes pop more...the more the grass is bent over, the stronger the stripes will look.

    For the first tool does it make it hard to remove the grass that gets into the driveway?

    • @TheLawnDaddy
      @TheLawnDaddy  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      No, my grass was a lil wet...that's why there was that much grass on my driveway, comes off easily.

    The new Toro lawn mowers never needs a oil change just add if low?

    • @TheLawnDaddy
      @TheLawnDaddy  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes

    • @cwilks5592
      @cwilks5592 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      That insures you’ll have to buy a new mower every 5-7 years. Dirty marketing; do yourself a favor and change it each year. I have a toro, bought in 2003, still running. It’s about a 5 min job.

    I built the lawn leveler and it works great! I used it side by side with a level lawn it it kept up! I upgraded the handle with a wooden on which I highly recommend. I have pics on my IG - bermuda_grass_boss

    Wouldn't it be easier to just bury the irrigation than move it all the time?

    • @TheLawnDaddy

      Burying it is a lot of $$$, this is a quick an easy solution that works very well.
