It looks like it might be some type of guard for the quick shifter sensor. If I was to guess. But hard telling looking at it for split second. There is a plastic one there stock. But maybe that is for additional protection, because stock is just plastic.

Yeah, if you think you're at the limit of the threads, I'd stop there. 80 was spec but it'l hold at 50...apply thread locker if you're worried about it.

Your video was very helpful ! However I found out on mine that the stoping power seems a lot lighter than before. I have ajusted the top nut (that sets the level of the brake lever) but I can’t seem to set the brake to stop harder. Any ideas of how I could take care of it? Cheers 😊

Your brakes are hydraulic so other than checking the fluid levels in the brake reservoir and the nut (as you have already done), that's the two adjustment points. I assume your brake pads have plenty of life left? I can say with my setup and this brake pedal, I can lock up the rear wheel any time I want. It's very strong! Thank you for watching.

@@AdamChandler86 thank you for your reply ! In my case the bike is brand new so fluids and brake pads are fine ! I will keep on looking, I might have overlooked something

Do other brake tips than Vanasche fit this lever?

That's a great question but I don't know the answer. My assumption would be no but maybe an email into Vanasche can help?

Excellent Adam. Will be putting mine on in the next couple of days. Did you find the Torque Spec for the swing arm and other bolts in the manual, or do you remember what they were offhand?

Hi Paul, I bought the Husqvarna LR service manual from KTM it' around 500 megabytes and it's a huge PDF. I think it was around $40. Good investment to have. The forward swingers bolts are at 80nm. Plastic foot brake cylinder bolts are only 10nm. foot brake bracket is 25NM

@@AdamChandler86 Awesome, thanks Adam. Super helpful. I'll try and get a copy of my 2021 701 Enduro manual, good tip.

I looked for a video…to find out what the hell that little black pice was for? Older 701/690…thanks! Your building a bad ass bike👍

I sent Vanasche an email and they said it is indeed an older bike piece. Not necessary on the new 701.
