This is what I should have started last league! For 3.25 it's down to this and BoneZone depending on what the patch notes say. Love your content, keep up the great work!
Hey man I love your videos! Great video on toxic rain of. It sucks looking back after the patch, I'm sure it's fine! But it did lose divine blessing, a lot of phys taken as ele mostly from taste of hate for this build. I thibk I might still try this as my first ssf guy just to speed run heist lol
This is one of the better builds I have played in a long while. It’s just a comfy play style once you get over the wary red tier map hump. It’s a bit squishy until you get phys taken as rolling in maps. Which is one of the harder things to do in league start.
Hey, I'm currently level 93 on this build, and have started farming T17s in the hopes of moving up to Ubers, really enjoying it. One question, I stuck with Kintsugi and during jade flask I have around 33k Evasion, but sometimes still get randomly deleted due to map mods etc. Would you say switching to Coil would be better defensively for T17s and ubers? For context, my resistances are capped (chaos res is with flask up) and was able to get a Progenisis, I have around 3,7k HP and went with EB w/ Diadem. Currently levelling awakened gems and working on the second cluster and got 20d plus almost 5k chaos in the bank from farming, so some upgrades wouldn't be a problem. Thanks!
Thinking I may try this for a change over Subtractem's Frostblink Ignite Elementalist. Thanks for the great videos, your content rocks. One question, do you not use any mark skills? I don't see any in the PoB. Wouldn't something like Sniper's Mark help out early? Thanks,
Thank you! Marks won't do you any good, since none of them really scale with non-Poison chaos damage, and you also have a curse already in the form of Despair.
Great content as always. With the removal of the divine blessing in 3.25 is there any other options for malevolence setup? Or we need to drop some aura instead?
I kinda skipped Necropolis, but before then, I played zoomy toxic rain pathfinder for like 3 leagues in a row. Speed is still really underrated in terms of currency farming. If you don't engage with mechanics that scale with MF, and rather leverage your speed (damage and movement speed), you can more then keep up with the juicers.
With the changes to Phys taken as Ele damage, is there a good solution for fixing the tankiness of the build? Just more evasion (stat and dodge?) or moving towards petrified blood?
Thanks! It definitely can work, the only real downside is that you don't get all that much value out of a Sulphur Flask, around 7% more damage or so. Freeing up a helm slot/saving the passive points toward the top of the tree is good, so it's definitely an option!
Hey thanks for all the work the build seems great and the video and pob are top tier I wanted to ask if there's not a problem in the pob on the endgame setups with mageblood because there's no ailment immunity?
Hello good sir, i've been watching your videos for the past league and as a TR enjoyer myself, i would like to ask what you opinion is about the viability of playing without a life flask (master surgeon) and using 5 utility flasks and also running 3 grand spectrums (endurance/frenzy/ any third one, life idk) also, what about dragonfang's flight?, it would help open more unreserved mana to maybe craft aspect of the spider somewhere on the build which would help damage and survivability. Note that aim to build a PF for boss rushing, maybe essence or blight or expedition or catarina and later on maybe kill uber bosses for challenges (i know TR isn't the best at bossing, but still...) using diadem + coil + tides of time (which will be cheaper since i would only need to consider the utility flask charges roll, making it more realistic to consider some good double corruptions) and TR + CA setup. I really enjoy your videos, keep up the good stuff. Cheers from Brazil!
Dragonfang's Flight can absolutely work as a neck option early on. It's usually pretty expensive, and a +1 neck with DoT multi on it is competitive, and allows you to craft +AoE, which helps with hitting the 37-43% AoE requirement. Life flask-less builds can work, too, and usually that build would use a Defiance of Destiny to make it work. It's great for speedy, safe farming of easy content, but it won't hold up as well into pushing t17's and Ubers since it gives up a TON of damage to get that level of defensive power. If you go that route, be sure to drop the one point in Master Surgeon and put another point into a small passive node for more Flask Effect & Charges Gained.
I saw your other Toxic Rain League starter guide from 3 months ago and already go along with the passive skill tree that you are using. I just wanted to know if things would change for people that play standard and not league? Especially when it comes to the loot filters. Most loot filters I see go based off of the economy, but as far as I know that's something for the League rather than standard play, am I correct? Im in Act 8 and Im not really sure what filter Im supposed to use. I picked the semi-strict neversink one from your bio but it's for League, so Im not so sure how different things would be for me as someone that doesn't participate in that. Thanks in advance.
The average gear level that you can trade for is quite a bit higher in standard, but barring any super high-end pieces, it's not really that different.
so you use toxic rain for bosses and custic for maps isnt it? im playing your build right now im kinda confused. like you i dont like totem play style too thats why im asking
My first league was Affliction and I was a PF with the totems. This next league I want to try this PF build. There are like 2 other builds I want to try lol. Looking forward to league start.
Totally biased, but TR has definitely felt the smoothest in terms of gear. With melee presumably being buffed, Bonezone or another melee build may wind up being better, but TR is the frontrunner right now.
Well now that we've gotten patchnotes some things changed. Especially the removal of Divine Blessing takes away quite a bit of damage (1.5m dps in the endgame with EB section). Just curious what ur thoughts on that are and how you'd fix it.
Out of the gate you pob has us taking projectile damage, but you take attack speed in the video. By endgame we bypass both, but which would you recommend for leveling?
The difference is really small. You gain a couple of percent more damage in act 1 from proj damage, but you get a bit more QoL from the AS, and more move speed later with Blink Arrow. Having deliberately tried both recently to compare them, it was a real: Look, no difference!
Here's 1 Question: 1. Is there any particular reason why proj dmg wasn't listed as "something TR can be scaled with"? I felt a bit of a plateau doing TR this league and dipped into another guide which recommended looking into Proj dmg as well. (I have no idea how well it helps increase dps and I have no idea if it's accurate in the PoB calculations either, lol)
This will be my second league. Is this build guide pretty beginner friendly that can also eventually put a lot of div into to make it an all rounder? I am more of a one character a season type player but can definitely grind.
thanks followed this guide got everything i wanted with it on heist got a mirror respec to hexblast for sanctum got the scripture for os sold it bought an original sin gg league, hek yeah wanna league start pf tr again but this comming new league how do we handle divine blessing being removed?
We talked about fixing the loss of Divine Blessing here: th-cam.com/video/Z7esuAeYb4k/w-d-xo.html There's also the potential to run the old March of the Legion boots, which grant level 25 Divine Blessing. The only downside with that (it's a huge downside) is that level 25 Divine Blessing has a MASSIVE mana cost, so it may be hard to slot into a build.
Best toxic rain league start ive had was with raider until day 2-3, then respec into pathfinder after i got some decent gear. Perma phasing, onslaught and a lot of chance to evade ailments is just to good for the first 2 days
Yeah, starting Raider to zoom through Heist is an option, it was a big discussion on one of the PoE subreddits over the last couple of days. It absolutely works if you're committing to speed-Heist, it just requires that you commit to that respec before pushing deep into the endgame.
Perandus Pact wasn't necessary for the build to clear t17's and ubers, and there will probably be something juicy in the coming league to compete with it!
Soooooo how do you automate your life flask? On the real I always league start RF but I want to do something different and thinking of TR PF, really appreciate your guides my man
@@PathofEvening serious question, looking at this build and your essence farm strat. Do you think starting this with say a Jen/Niko atlas strat for completion/crafts into a essence speed farm (posted about a month ago) with this would be an okay idea? This being asked if things dont massively change with new league.
Yeah what build after this build can I go to that can tear content up I was thinking of that tank build you had I guess you said after bone shattering I forgot the name of it but yeha
Why does the league start pob have custom 100% chaos and lightning res? The gear still way overcaps in the endgame setups without the custom mod. I musta missed the explanation
Isnt progenesis bad since you are using a perma life flask so it only saves you from one shots but with this build you cant get one shot since you can get to almost 100% phys taken as elemental dmg easily and with a stygian vise and better gear overall ( i think despair on hit ring is not needed for clear and i myself selfcast it on tanky mobs ) you can get to over 6k life with triple ele flasks with 100% uptime even on bosses and high dps aswell. Also if i remember correctly you dont really need devouring diadem and i myself did it with eldritch battery from the skill tree and just the mastery for energy shield and - total mana cost of skills ring crafts.
That would be true *if* you couldn't get one-shot without Progenesis, but don't worry: You ABSOLUTELY can get one-shot without it (also with it). Even so, it helps with not getting chipped down by lots of small hits, it gives your amazing life regen a longer chance to kick in, and it's just generally much stronger than any alternative for defense. It's not mandatory, but it is great.
Been a long time since i play any toxic rain, only played in ancestral league, but the ballista path not self cast, cause i dont need to aim but after trying once, farmed enough currency for another build immediately swap out of ballista cause the delay is way too long. In the past as a poison build. Very fun & good. Also in the VERY distant past as a Cold damage Dex-stacking Deadeye, which absolutely shredded everything that moved, but had zero defense at all.
