Mine was the same mate, cos I never vacuumed the bottom, the organic waste was turning mine brown pretty quickly. With the food mate, little and often due to the pp potentially killing off your bacteria in your filter. Hope you're sorted now 👍🏼
just doing the same treatment tomorrow scott and ive not used it before either but its got to be done and as long as i get the dosages right with the pp and peroxide and keep shit loads of air going in the pond it should be ok i bet you feel a lot better now youve done the treatment 👍👍from what videos ive seen 3 hours treatment should be ok

Good luck mate I'm probably not gonna invest in any koi till this Bacterial/Fluke problem is riddled out the hobby. It's easy saying pond owner should QT there fish. Putting blame on each other isn't going solve anything. So I'm taking a backwards steps and only buying of local reputable company's and I will always always PP bath any fish I buy before adding them to pond.

I would personally say cleaning all filters and cleaning your pond of fish poo etc before adding helps out more. But that's my own opinion 👍

The brown scum is oxidised organics.. so anything from fish waste bio film even their mucus
