Honestly... It never said it was Rockband or Guitar Hero and if we actually complain about each and every slightely misplaced button we don't have to expect that rythm game market to ever come back again. I don't say we shouldn't adress those aspects at all. But after this review i personally wouldn't get myself that guitar and if there's other ppl like me the creators will think we don't want those games anymore. Which is wrong. I'd love to play the games but if a Review like this keeps ppl from buying it we'll never see what could've been. Just because it sold badly. Edit: Got the guitar myself and i'm happy with it... Feels good, plays good. Overall a solid product.
Pretty much every complaint you have is it's not a guitar hero controller? The rock band controller seems to be what they based it on. It has less audible feedback because you would hear it over the music. The strum bar is lighter just like a rock band controller for the same reasons the buttons don't make an ungodly amount of noise. The guitar not activating when you tip it like controllers of old is a let down though.
avid clone hero player here! I have a preference for GH guitars but the riffmaster is really nice! its still a rock band guitar but the strum bar feels nice IMO. I find myself committing to strumming in a better way since the feedback is more in the physical feel and not a sound. having a near silent, wireless, premium feeling guitar was worth it to me! hoping at purchase a custom made guitar from etsy or mercari next!
The only reason I don't use it and still keep using my default xplorer or custom world tour is that the activate button for overdrive/starpower is just better. Even AWiseMoose had to mod the Riffmaster to make the activate button in a better place. Left D-Pad is just bad. Tilt is useless.
