What do you think? Would you consider this as a worthy alternative to a real guitar?

      I can't call this a guitar.

The only alternative to a real guitar is another real guitar. This here is just a solution that nobody asked for to a problem that doesn't exist.

No, it's not. I'm curious if you play, or have played a six-string guitar and what was your impression of the experience?

@@iursnitramI disagree. I've been playing guitar for over 50 years. But, now I have severe arthritis, and my fingers can't bend enough to form chords. It's taken one of the most important things from my life. I miss playing so badly! This could be something that will bring some of that back for me!

@@jillpeters1630 Understandable but this is not a guitar, it's just another guitar shaped cash grab.

Thanks for your detailed review! As a lifelong guitarist I found the idea of a stringless guitar interesting. Having seen the price and the limitations I feel like if they make a C2 or C3 it may be more suited to my needs as a musician

    That’s not a guitar. That’s a guitar-shaped sample controller.

The other commenters are right, this is not a guitar. But this would be great for songwriters who have arthritis (or just poor instrument skills) as a way to limit strain and flesh out their ideas.
This would also be a good way to supplement someone learning chord theory, as well....

I agree on all your points. This might be great for someone who isn't as able-bodied as the average person

@@DanielsTechStudio You can tune a standard 6-string guitar with open tunings so someone who has physical limitations can still make chords and pluck single notes (Open-G tuning for instance) Google 'Django Reinhard' and you'll see that even someone with severe physical limitations can create transcendent music on a guitar (fire fused his pinky to the finger next to it, permanently curling both in. He had limited function in the rest of his left hand, and was unable to bend the two smaller fingers.)

    Daniel, good video!
The next generation version of this could be an even better music tool. Is it durable, can you drop it or bump into something without damage?
The flashing light metronome(?), seems vibration haptic vibration might be better. I hope if I give you good improvement ideas you could score a free next gen model. I appreciate your simple general features overview of the product.
Me; new product development engineer who missed out on learning an instrument as a kid(limited music theory),,, could be easy to make your own "four chord song"(Axis of Awesome!)
ANALOGY==> I know computer keyboards should have keys ordered "a" the "b" then "c"alphabetically so it's easy for kids to learn them (BECAUSE GLIDE TYPING IS EASIER)==>this instrument should allow one to play banjo or accordion in Steve Martin or Weird Al Yankovic comedy style, then switch to an easy 4 cord progression with embellishments, then switch to fast pluck individual notes,,,
What would it take for this to do some kind of fast Eddie Van Halen type solo?
    Good channel SUBSCRIBED ✔️

Thanks! Yes it's pretty durable, and I would consider any type of guitar solo impossible on this

It seems closer to a cheap casio keyboard then a guitar.
