    Hello, great videos. I have been learning a lot from you. Thank you for sharing your expertise. I really hope you can help me because I'm losing my patience. I recently bought a 2015 Palazzo 150cc Scooter with gy6 150cc engine with 399 miles on it. The original owner said he drove it for 1 season when he bought it new and did not winterize it. The following season it would not start.
    I bought it not running. First I drained the small amount of fuel in the tank and added 1 gallon of premium gas and a new battery. The scooter will start if I give it a lot of throttle and continue to turn the throttle. However, once I let go of the throttle it stalls. Next i replaced the sparkplug .It was and continues to run very rich. No change. I pulled and cleaned the carb. It was spotless but I cleaned it anyway. No change. Replaced the fuel filter. No change. Discovered the air/fuel mixture screw was capped. Drilled it out. It was turned completely in... closed. Opened it up 2-2.5 turns and everywhere else... no change. Ordered and installed a new carburetor. No change. Adjusted air/fuel adjustment. No change. Replaced DC CDI. No change. Replaced sparkplug wire and coil. No Change!
    I'm at my wits end with this scooter. Basically it seems that it runs very rich.
    When I first got it... i kept hearing something knock around when it was running... I figured out that thr previous owner dropped the sparkplug into the black housing and left it in there after replacing the plug. So.... as I was trying to start the scooter the old plug was flopping around and hitting the flywheel fan... unlit it broke some of the flywheel fan fins. It also chipped the pickup location tab that sits on the flywheel.the. a little at the front.
    Could a chip in the front part of the pickup location cause less/weak spark resulting in the engine running rich? Do the valves ever need to be adjusted at 400 miles before the engine is even broken in yet?
    Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

      Hello my friend wow you did a lot of work on that scooter the good thing in the long way that you learn a lots of new things about your scooter ah ah ah my question is if you change your carb for a new carb did you change the main jet accordingly to you altitude ? if you are at see level you should have a #115 main jet and a #38 pilot and every 1000 FT above you go down 2 jet size only for the main jet . I don't thing a chip in the front part of the pickup location cause less/weak spark resulting in the engine running rich but if the pick up sensor is slightly moved scooter can miss fire Yes you can adjust your valves anytime because you know chinese company are so much in the rush to ship out those scooter and make the money. Thank you for watching my video

      @@VirberelloScooterTips The stock carb (which originally worked and ran) was a #105 Main Jet and #32 Pilot Jet. I am in Detroit Michigan.. about 600 feet above sea level. The new carb has a #102 Main Jet and #35 Pilot Jet. The spark-plug shows it's too rich... it's getting too much fuel, so enlarging the jets will provide more fuel, which seems like the wrong thing to do if it's running rich and getting too much fuel correct?
      I checked the valves today. Both intake and exhaust were .003". I adjusted the intake to .004" and the exhaust to .005". No Change. Only starts when I use lots of throttle and after starting will not idle.. stalls once I let go of throttle. I do not know what else to do... other than this chip on the reluctor.

      Hello my friend sometimes carburetors comes with the smallest jet they can find because they are not sure where is the carburetor been shipped and sometimes you can find dirt or metal shaving inside the carburetor so the best thing to do is to open the new carburetor make an inspection to make sure is clean and reject the carb according to your altitude and temperature / location also make sure fuel hose is not curved or bend or squeeze thank you for watching my video and be safe

    I have a Gy6 150cc scooter 2023 and it doesn't have a CDI box. Is there a reason??.

    • @VirberelloScooterTips
      @VirberelloScooterTips  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello my friend I have a feeling that your scooter is an EFI scooters and you do not need a CDI (Capacitor Discharge Ignition) because EFI systems use a different method to control the ignition timing of the engine.
      In a traditional carbureted scooter, the CDI is responsible for controlling the timing of the spark that ignites the fuel in the engine. However, in an EFI scooter, the ignition timing is controlled by the Electronic Control Unit (ECU) which is part of the EFI system. The ECU uses various sensors to determine the optimal timing for ignition based on factors such as engine speed, throttle position, and engine load.
      By using an EFI system to control both the fuel injection and ignition timing, the scooter's engine can operate more efficiently and produce better performance while emitting lower emissions. So, while CDIs are still commonly used in carbureted scooters, they are not necessary for EFI scooters.

      @@JonahNAloha If your scooter look like mine and you change all those parts there is the possibility that you have a fuel delivery problem try to reject your carburetor accordingly to your altitude and yearly average temperature and make sure you have a good quality fuel filter and look at the fuel hose to make sure is not banded because my scooter works on gravity to delivery the fuel and the last thing you can do is to check the valves clearance
