How does this simulate a soft field landing you didn’t let the noise wheel come back time. The hardest part of the landing is keeping the noise wheel off the ground while your slowing down and while your 2 wheels are on the ground. Skipping the whole final step removes all purpose to the process as well. But at the end of the day if you got a license then you’re competent enough and I really don’t care.
Soft just means soft, not always short. You should review the destination runway information and compare it to performance charts in your POH for specific required distances which depend on specific conditions.
