Good review but I disagree on when you said it’s a tennis game so there’s only so much they can do. They could do custom creations, replay classic matches, doubles multiplayer, have fun modes where you can do 3 vs 3 (!) etc. FIFA/NBA 2KF have fun modes that they could’ve easily used as an inspiration. They just got a bit lazy with this imo - as reflected in the roster. There’s more characters available in Mario Kart Switch!
they could've put in best wimbledon moments like goran ivanisevic when he won or in 2018 melbourne finals when federer beat Nadal like legendary moments or something
@@randomcro24 tbh we don’t even have the option to play standalone tournaments/grand slams, probably because there aren’t enough licensed guys to actual fill the brackets which is also just not good enough
everyone is so cheap with video games...what's the big deal, if you enjoy tennis and want to play the best one out there, just buy it. Why not, only live once? People spend literally thousands of dollars to hear idiots like Taylor Swift..or go to sporting events paying a hundred or more per seat to watch 20 somethings make hundreds of millions of dollars to play a kids game at a high level...so why not just "invest" 60 or 70 bucks once, and forget microtransactions and just pay the damn game that 's there...?? It is a fun and addictive game. I enjoy just relaxing and playing. Plain and simple.
Hi @1.24 on the far top right next to your created player the orange message that has a number 2 , what is that, I have 15on mine and I can't acess it, is it imprtant. Also the biggest annoying thing is the shot bar, youre too busy looking at the damn bar instead of where you want to hit the ball. Pete Sampras looks like Dela Hoya, what a joke, who made his character, his serves, groundstrokes doesn't look anything like Pete. Shame.
I think when it comes to the replayability value it falls a bit short. Once you win a Grand Slam what else is there to achieve? There's only so much you can do in a tennis game when it comes to decorating it. Or maybe I just have a lack of fantasy.
I think that’s the problem and I suppose with the creation of ultimate teams, factions and other card based sports games it makes a single/double game mode a little bit boring Once your player is at the max level the game is done as I doubt many people will be making multiple players to max them out in the same grindy way
@@JT11Gamess True, but there are also a lot more variables in a football game compared to a tennis game. I have been an avid FIFA player for years. I pretty much had my own playstyle when playing FUT for example. Untill EA destroyed every bit of fun gameplay wise the past 5,6 years or something. Everyone plays the exact same now, there's no skill involved anymore. I don't think any tennis game can nearly reach the amount of depth FIFA once had. I enjoyed 15, 16, 17 the most. In other words, I don't think asking 70 bucks or more for any tennis game is ever justifyable no matter how good it is.
As long as 2K doesn't nerf the VC so you HAVE TO buy them with your own money like they did with NBA, I'm good with that. Don't get me wrong I don't mind grinding, but I can see why people don't like it.
And I'm sorry but I disagree with your point about online. This game or any 2K game should not be predominantly based around online. Because the reality is that most people don't have great Internet speeds or connections
Ive been playing for a few days now, it is very microtransactions based, but wheb it comes to extra atrribute points, when you hire a coach , team memebers as you progress they give you bonus attributes from them. Also with rackets you unlock fits like handles webbing and frames these give you attribute boost and as you progress you get higher tier ones. I agree the pricing was shocking for 3 days early access and few cosmetics. And yes i agree they mossed the mark alot with career mode but this is the first game, pga 2k was decne the first time around but the latest game was whole lot better. Hopefully some updates soon will make it more enjoyable.
Nope, not worth it at all. No creativity syites for stadiums and players, very low amount of players, stupid vc added, it's less than what's offered with AO Tennis 2. Disappointing.
AO Tennis 2, I know people complain about it but I love it so much just because of the community feature. Downloaded full top 300 to my game over two weeks and career mode feels so fun playing at challenger level with real players
Will buy when doubles online is implemented. Such a miss to not include this on launch, so many wanting and expecting this.
Best review i have come across so far..very informative..also for offline players a tournament mode and bigger roster would be great too!

Yea this roster is shocking, they at least need Nadal and Djokovic at least

Thanks for the information, best real review out to date. Help me save money bc this game will be on gamepass in 3 to 4 months.
You know what I totally forgot about game pass, that’s very valid I can see this game going on sale relatively quickly then straight onto there

Rite I have good internet speeds but I’d rather play my career

There shutting the servers down in dec of 2026, not worth it
