Be aware that the career mode is bound to online and that 2K plans on shutting down the game servers at the end of 2026 , so u are technically renting the game for 2 years for 60$

I love TopSpin 1 and 2 but couldn't get into 3 or 4, I did buy EA's Grand Slam 2 in 2012 and had a lot of fun with that but all the tennis games after have seemed meh, actually bought Virtua Tennis on PS Vita recently because modern games like Tennis World Tour, AO Tennis and Matchpoint simply weren't cutting it. Fortunately, that's all changed with TopSpin 2K25, easily the most fun I've had with video game tennis in a long time. I'm a big fan of the sport whether playing it in the real or watching on tv (even the smaller tournaments) and this game almost perfectly captures the spirit of it.
Either paid by 2K or has no videogame knowledge whatsoever. The player models are PS2 quality and the animation barely any better. Disgraceful that this is $180 for the 'complete' package.
Ill agree it takes some time 2 get ur timing and all the losses are worth it when you start winning simply because this game prepares you without you knowing ur getting better. Then slowly the timing starts coming around and the shots start looking like the ones you see urself hitting in ur dreams.

I think it would be great if they added a "download players" option to this game. That way, we could download players created by the community. Playing a tennis game without the full roster is like playing a football game without Messi, Ronaldo, Neymar, etc. The roster definitely needs to be improved.
I think somebody who had played TS4 may have been in a better position to review this, that way they can see just how of a lazy attempt it is. No innovation since TS4, the ball is still only direct with no swerve on slice shots, worse roster than TS4, annimation pause before hitting ball remains, line challeneges?, community creations? Nobody wants legend players (maybe Federer), they want to play as and against todays stars, player models coming at you from ps3. Just a very lazy port IMO.

Disappointed. Not a smooth game at all. Way too much lag makes it unenjoyable on PS5. Matchpoint plays better. The colours of the players faces are too dark. But the worst of all is the lag. Worst power serving of any tennis game. Impossible to pick a place to serve, the icon moves all over the place. So far Matchpoint way better. 4/10
Make your way to the top againts 200 fake players? Might have the superior gameplay that I loved from TS, but for career mode only. AO2 with every top 200 and venues is unmatched IMHO
NBA 2K has a large customisation suite and many people in that community creating arenas, teams, jerseys etc. Hopefully this game could be opened up the same way in the future?
They need to add a ranked ladder system for online, but this sounds very good. As an old school Top Spin player I look forward to slapping all you pretenders online who think you're good!!!

You’re a liar, the game sucks. They ruined a great franchise. Guess I should have listened to someone who actually played the previous games. The way you hit the ball used to be so easy and intuitive and made you feel the power of your swings. Now, every swing is a mini-game trying to exactly hit a a bar. Used to be if u held the button down too long you would hit it too hard which makes perfect sense. Now holding it down too long just means you didn’t release it at the right time and has nothing to do with power. It’s stupid, it ruined the way the swing has always been for the franchise. Waste of money
