I absolutely adore your reaction! I balled the first time I saw it! Cynthia as Elphaba is beyond special and important because one, she is the first black woman to play this role. I mean she’s green so that already makes her “different” but adding that she’s black I feel her role is really going to make anyone that feels different feel seen and heard! Cynthia and Ariana are absolute perfection as this duo, and they said that they truly bonded while making this film and said they bonded for life! The sets are above and beyond and they said that the planted 9 million tulips and that all the sets where built and not much CGI was used! I’ve never been so excited for a movie ever! I was lucky enough to see the original cast in Wicked on Broadway back in 2004! Wouldn’t it be awesome if all of us true fans of Wicked could see this movie together! Have a beautiful day
It's genius to have a woman of color play another woman of (another) color. Like, who would better understand that part of the character, than someone who knows what it's like to be judged for their skin tone? Really looking forward to this movie!
I pity the poor gardeners. I have loved The Wizard of Oz since I was a very small child. I once owned all the books. I have watched every show based on that universe, even 'Tin Man' . I have not seen the musical, but love the music. Really looking forward to this.
