Gosh. I can tell Daisy was an addict here. She couldn’t wait to take her meds. That’s why she was nearest to the counter and tried nudging Susanna out of the way. Her body language also spoke wonders. She was mildly impatient.
One time when my friend was over I asked her if she wanted to watch this movie with me but she said no so I just put it on and said I was gonna watch it and then later on she started to get into the movie and we watched it. Every time she comes to my house she asks me to put on this movie like we watched it together like 5 or 6 times. Still love it💗
I felt so bad for that girl. She didn't set the fire deliberately; she was caught in a house-fire & went mentally awry after suffering heavy burns. I can't blame her.
YES I AGREE!! ive never seen it before, and i wish writers and directors took more notes from this movie regarding mental illness and personality disorders.

That was actually a pretty nice hospital, considering. Valerie was right, that was a nicer facility than a state-run place would be. If it wasn't for the Electro-shock Therapy, it looked like a decent place to heal.
The ironie, Lisa is the biggest victim. I think she's being kicked around during childhood and after that thrown on the street. She's a street rat that had to fend for herself since a young age. Not read the book yet.
I tried to read the book but its not at all a 'smooth, linear read'. Its very choppy & is almost like...I hate to say it....a diary written by someone under the influence. I love books like The Bell Jar, but this one wasn't very readable.
I love lisa, she's so honest with people and yet they cannot handle the truth because they know that lisa tells the truth and See's everything and everybody is scared of Lisa even the nurses because they know that Lisa is fucking crazy but she knows the fucking truth and she ain't afraid to let them know, she know the fucking truth!!!
I don’t love her she’s the weakest one in the movie. Honestly, I don’t see why people fear her. It’s obviously an act. She has no compassion and tells everyone else their “truth” (her opinion) to avoid looking at what’s wrong with herself. I think she’s also jealous of Daisy, because I believe Lisa was molested but is mad her abusers don’t take care of her the way Daisy’s dad does! It’s sad. I’ve been Lisa before. It’s easier to drag everyone else down to your level than to just fix your own shit.
I wouldn’t use the word, “weak.” I would use the terms broken and regressive with tendencies towards anger-both aggressive and passive. Possible BPD, perhaps ASPD.
Well they were smart enough (in 1968) to know the mentally ill had to be institutionalized and medicated. And sometimes you got shock therapy. That was the help you got and it cured you. NOW we let our sons whack off their own genitals (which means they commit suicide in 41% of cases) because our mental health professionals believe in nonsense like "gender identity."
For many people with mental illnesses, especially people who have more severe disorders, medications are a part of the treatment and can really help keep the patient somewhat functional. Of course medicine alone are is not a miracle cure but it can be very helpful in managing symptoms

Eating disorder, addicted to diet pills/diuretics, and suicidal depression. That's the diagnoses I got about Daisy.

Brittany Murphy was an amazing actress
Lisa looks anorexic herself. Did Jolie starve herself for the role?

Gaaah, I still love this movie even to this day

I like how Daisy tries to just push Susanna out of the way at 2:59 .
It's because she's addicted on medicines.
She smokes French cigarettes 😅 😂
Lisa’s scream sounds intense 🔥🔥🔥🔥
I just now realized why Lisa called Susanna “Georgie Girl”. Because she’s Georgina’s roommate.
No she didn’t..she literally said “who’s that WITH GEORIGE GIRL”
That's her nickname for Georgina
Was it set in 1968? Because it could also be a reference to Georgie Girl, a popular film from 1966.
I thought it was because of her haircut. Now I realize she said who's with that Georgie girl.
@@hadbetterdays It was because it was in 1968 in reference to that awesome song from that fine Australian band
