It confused all of us. Some prefer to try to figure it all out and others prefer to watch explanation/theory videos. It’s too much for my old brain on its own, but this kind of thing is right up my alley. If I was younger, and especially if I had known BTS back then, I would have been OBSESSED with this. It’s genius!

Run is so CRAZY song, my fav part is Yoongi and Jungkook's fight and part is when V taehyung falling in the water and he came under the water in the last scene omg he SO AMAZING ACTOR ! Btw my favorite run episode is all of them because you can see their different personalities and characters of BTS members in each and every single run episodes.
The BU is complex, dark and confusing. There are MVs, mini films, books, web toon, game, notes on album. It gave me headaches. It’s so well thought out. Even with X Celeste video explication, I don’t understand everything. So good luck and don’t be hard on yourself, you’re smart. 👍💜

The BU may seems complexe - and it is in a way - but try to look at it more simply. There is a bunch of friends who deal with the journey of becoming an adult. Each one has his own issue (a pretty dark one.) They act like delinquent like a lot of teenagers with problems... The storyline is confusing, but the overall story is logical and pretty classical. There is a lot of ref from books and movies... You will get it in time! You miss the "On stage: prologue" Have fun with the BU

As a Fantasy writer, I pretty much understand the overall story myself when I dove in. But yes, it's not an easy task to grasp the BU in details...Cuz it's one thing to understand the story, it's another to enjoy each moment/pairing/reference/... First it depends of what Lory want, discover little by little and make her own theories then confront them to ARMY's theories (but for that she also need to read the books and the webtoon or directly going with a guide and all our helps and spoils. Butterfly is actually in between INU and Run... plus it really isn't to be missed. It's so beautifully shot and a lovely song. and I see people recommending you watch the explanation. You are about 2% into the story, I might recommend waiting until you at least watch the shorts and MVs before any explanation, even if you don't read the notes or watch the mobile content.

One of my favorite song even music wise. In fact, all the music from this era is magical to me (Butterfly in playing at the end in generic). Don't feel to dumb for not getting anything, you don't have enough cards to play the game yet and even then you need a high Sherlock level. The only thing I ever caught was the emotional connection with Suga and Kookie characters that might imply more than friendship: Sad Suga alone in bed caressing the empty side of said bed then him putting fire to it in I Need You mv then the fight in Run with JK holding on to Suga who's pushing him away and his devastated expression when sitting on the floor afterwards, the thugs beating JK in INU mv, was it bc he looked gay? It may be controversial as XCeleste didn't bring it up. What is not a secret is that they're linked in pairs, JK and Suga, RM and V, Hobi and Jimin while Jin is the main protagonist. Anyway, shout out to everyone involved in the creation process and let's enjoy the ride together. 😊

I might be 100% wrong in my perception and it's ok and I'm fine with you telling me you think my reading is way off but not quite as fine if you're angry at me for seeing a possible LGBT romance in the BU which we all know is fictional.
@@Sherluck93 controversial? this is about fictional BU characters, not the real-life members lol. and people talk about the yoonkook theories all the time... it's practically a meme at this point. besides, if the HYYH era of BU is meant to show all the different sorts of hardships that young people go through, why not sexual identity, which many young people DO struggle with? Not saying it's true or not, but if it is, it's subtle. What we DO know is that Yoongi and JK's characters are the most important to each other, they each motivate the actions for the other, and their fates are linked (neither survives without the other). To me, they're definitely the most intriguing pairing of the BU.

Oh, please be kind to yourself!! The BU is a sprawling adventure with a thousand theories, but very few confirmed truths. It's open enough to tell the story wants to tell, but also for each ARMY to find the story they need to hear. Events aren't always linear, and the song lyrics are independent (but not entirely unconnected) from the videos. As for those numbers... We're all still wondering!!! I guess my biggest advice is to enjoy it all on your own terms and in the way that works for you. AND be gentle to yourself along the way. Being confused is TOTALLY normal, I promise! 💜

I'm afraid you'll have to accept a sort of constant state of mild to strong confusion for a good while with the BU. You are not given all the pieces of the puzzle for quite some time. Just take it all in and move forward. At some point, some parts will click in your brain, but it won't all be at once. Just keep going and take as much time as you need.

@@Sherluck93 controversial? this is about fictional BU characters, not the real-life members lol. and people talk about the yoonkook theories all the time... it's practically a meme at this point. besides, if the HYYH era of BU is meant to show all the different sorts of hardships that young people go through, why not sexual identity, which many young people DO struggle with?
Not saying it's true or not, but if it is, it's subtle. What we DO know is that Yoongi and JK's characters are the most important to each other, they each motivate the actions for the other, and their fates are linked (neither survives without the other). To me, they're definitely the most intriguing pairing of the BU.
@@cheshire913 Cheshire, I was not even aware at all of a Yoonkook theory regarding the BU. It was just my personal reading nothing more but it's good to know I wasn't the only one seeing a subtle something between the lines.
Oh, please be kind to yourself!! The BU is a sprawling adventure with a thousand theories, but very few confirmed truths. It's open enough to tell the story wants to tell, but also for each ARMY to find the story they need to hear. Events aren't always linear, and the song lyrics are independent (but not entirely unconnected) from the videos. As for those numbers... We're all still wondering!!! I guess my biggest advice is to enjoy it all on your own terms and in the way that works for you. AND be gentle to yourself along the way. Being confused is TOTALLY normal, I promise! 💜

I tried my best to understand BU on my own but it's just too deep for me. I just helped myself and watched Xceleste theory explained and that just blew my mind. I heard they'll be continuing this when they come back which I hope they will.

I'm afraid you'll have to accept a sort of constant state of mild to strong confusion for a good while with the BU. You are not given all the pieces of the puzzle for quite some time. Just take it all in and move forward. At some point, some parts will click in your brain, but it won't all be at once. Just keep going and take as much time as you need.

They great actors aren't they. We really want them to do a movie, sigh. But they keep ignoring us. They think they suck at acting. Army disagrees on this vehemently. House of Cards is another of their songs. This is full of layers and hidden meanings. But it's an old song. They were not that successful back then. They grew slow and steady but in 2017 they grew fast and a lot internationally. It's due to their music. It's so good. And also we loved the storyline. It was intense and real and made our brains hurt, lol. U can watch the vid more than once its ok. Some ppl read on the 2nd watch. They can focus more after hearing the song and seeing the video. There are explanation videos or summaries of the storyline. There are a few theories. But many ppl like to react 1st think of their own answers then watch the summary vids. The storyline is complex. Anitra @saywhatreacts is watching these in order all over again with her friend Carlos. They have really deep talks about each video. This is just a guess, but I think someone probably suggested you react to the song "Run BTS" by BTS, which is different than this one and more recent (it doesn't have an MV, but the live performance at the Busan concert is fantastic and often recommended to new reactors).
But Run is also a great song. It's part of the Most Beautiful Moment in Life (or HYYH) album series that deals with the joys and pains of being a young adult. Like others explain in the comments its part of the Bangtan Universe where they play characters of themselves with fictional storylines. Don't feel bad if you can't figure out everything that's going on in the MVs that are part of the BU because it's not exactly meant to be a linear or easily understood story, and there are Notes released with their albums that go with the MVs and give a lot more detail on the story.
And though there's since been a webtoon and a book that tell an official version of the story, I'd say there's no real "right" way to interpret it all.

As for my interpretation, RUN is talking the struggle to chasing our dreams where we pour our passion, hopes n loves when chasing it even something it's feels so hard, tiring and painful because every path always have a challenges, a test, even we can take a wrong path or even losing our way to achieve the dreams. But, as long as we still have the love n passion for it, we must not give up and keeps trying to continue to "run" to achieve it even we already make a mistake or take the wrong way. We can take a rest for a while before run, but don't ever stop. Because once we stop, it will be over. We will say goodbye to the dream that we once loves. Or our loves for our dreams is just a lie coz we gave up so easily.
