Thanks for the awesome double feature! One thing I find amazing is Tatiana's ability to write lyrics and melodies that are catchy and grab your attention, over such complex and constantly changing guitar and bass lines, add to that the fact that she writes amazing lyrics, Jinjer as a whole is a masterclass! Please keep the Jinjer reactions coming!
I've read many comments complaining about the general lack of solos in Jinjer's songs but there was one "conversation" about that subject that stuck with me: I linked this playthrough video to one of the "plaintiffs" and their response was something like "I see what you mean, if he did solos on top of what he does rhythmically, heads would explode!". Cue 8:31 and 9:02! 😁
I absolutely love Cloud factory. It took some time for me to get used to, yes, but now every time I hear these pieces it's pure pleasure. Good call to take a look on Roman's playthrough, it's just awesome how he makes that thing obey his wishes, a lot of detail get's missed with the production mix. Now you can make the same double feature with Outlander, I think you didn't cover it yet. The song is super dope and Roman, of course, kills it as expected.
this one and words of wisdom.... this is where you really realize how far ahead roman was musically of tatiana at this point in the band, her singing in essence, covers up his awesomeness and her vocals really don't match the song very well or sound that good if we are being honest that's why these guitar play throughs are so important.. i'm glad you're doing them... no one else is
If you enjoy guitar playthroughs, you should check out John Browne from Monuments. Him and other members of the band have uploaded playthroughs of several songs over the past 10 years.
One of Jinjers most underrated songs! It is a banger!! Also Angels and Under the Dome...
it is a banger once you remove tatiana
