Everything said is true. My biggest collab went from TH-cam then switching to Spotify, and I can see a song or two I put up being put onto playlists. We've also gotten onto Spotify's playlist (Radar?) and another one they have. There is more to our scenario, but the groundwork of collabs bringing over audiences to your page is true. I also work with 2 other types of solid indie labels in addition to my own makeshift one, so there is more up the chain on that, featuring other top playlists, but in any case Jesse knows and shows truth.

looking forward to something specific in hip hop as well, but just as a fair point, try implementing some of the concepts that aren’t necessarily specific to it but has general use cases -- this could be a spark to some innovation in the space as far as techniques and methods, or merging the schools of thought in a way because even with hip hop you have sub genres and niche spaces with audiences that communicate differently. best of luck and thanks for another dope video, Jesse 🙇🏽‍♂️

Facebook conversion ads work in building real fans/followers (on both Facebook and Spotify). I'm not sure why you're down on Facebook ads. They can be expensive if done incorrectly, and they do require bit of technical work and backend monitoring, but it is relatively straightforward to see measurable results, and be free of private playlist curators.

If you involved as a producer does it count? I mean as a collab, it’s not easy to make feats when it comes to rock and indie music, because it’s more personal and has another level of depth, you know what I mean. But I produce another artists so maybe it’s a good idea to let our audience know about it more?

Looks like I'm ready to hit the roof. I believe the PR i was working with years ago sent me link to your then new book and was really excited about it. Looking back the damage was done and i was already too burnt out from touring and all of the negativity a band encounters. I just kind of decided that I need to release se stuff but didn’t want to do any more than the base minimum . Altho my release schedule has been slower than my killer ham fisted riffs I have been collaborating with other artists for over a decade and toured with some neat swell and groovy acts. I just didn’t t know what do with any of this information or how to use social media. Ive had people suggest to act a certain way on social media even and i was like naw I'm too punk for that( bro im pushing 50) ... any way my attitude sucked and i suffered for it. Im ultra spiritual but my attitude towards my music became nihilistic. After watching my hero and mentor in the Psychedelic art known as Acid Punk retire it got me thinking. It lead me to Jesse's channel. Thanks to this dude and guys like him theres a direct answer, also RTFM.

Not trying to sound like one of those paid testimonials and I apologize in advance if I do...I've been recording originals now for 21 + years, but only got serious about it in Nov 2020. Had 6 followers, and a good month would be if our entire (large) catalogue got in the double digits in Spotify streams. Facebook ads did jack, and I'd watched just about every black t shirt wearing TH-cam music guru there is (is it a uniform or something?). No dice. Was close to giving up. I've learned so much from this channel, and no, I'm not going to say we're all of a sudden famous or anything. But since the beginning of last summer to now, we're now at 231 followers. Which isn't a lot, but it's been steady and consistent, and we now get around 8,000 streams a month (close to 600 released songs) with no promotion except community building on Twitter and putting one or two of our songs on playlists and surrounding them with songs in the same style from others (or as close to it as possible) and sharing them on Reddit, with a both an ad budget and recording budget of $0. Listening to feedback and having to be willing to accept hard truths at times helped too. So yeah...Jesse knows his sh*t
