Great pistols. Completely reliable. Sized for concealed carry.

I am picking up a Kahr cw9 in a few days. Yes i know other options are now available. However I dont want a disconnect safety or a hideous chamber indicator. Had it not been for those issuss i very well may have gotten a Hellcat pro or Shield Plus. Didnt work out that way so i grabbed one of these Kahrs; which btw i think are very attractive with their stainless slides and simple design. In SoCal it gets hot. I want anything thick for summer; period. I found some kahr stamped 10 round mags for it for cheap because I know the store owner. He slashed off $8 per mag. If they dont work out i still got some 8 rounders to try out. If it does work out i have 8+1 and a 10 round reload if i did need more rounds. Already shoot a S&W 642 and 66-1 4" i got on consignment. I like those types of triggers. I like my glocks but the way the triggers break are dog poo imho. Took me months to warm up to those triggers. LA county only allows 3 guns. My rotation is gonna be S&W 642, Glocl 30 SF, Kahr CW9.

We had a law enforcement only Federal 115 hollow point in +P+ that gave us around 1300 FPS out of the Kahr back in the late 90s. Justin Moon designed these guns specifically for undercover carry by LEOs and Spooks. Very fast into action, natural pointer, and rated for very high performance ammo. A lot of under covers owe their lives to these guns.

I love my Kahr’s and carried a PM9 for years. The p380 is also a great lil p380 pocket/mailbox gun or backup gun. In their time, they really were a great gun and I think they should have been a bit more popular. They should consider coming out with a 1.5 stack to compete with the new generation of carry guns.

You only think that the trigger pull is long because you are not accustomed to shooting double action revolvers. If you are competent at double action revolver shooting, the Kahr trigger is almost identical.

Working undercover I carried a Kahr K-40 as primary gun and a MK-40 as a back-up gun for years. Kahr’s customer service is outstanding, their both easy guns to carry and shoot. The Kahr’s are really under rated firearms.

My EDC is Shield 40 or 45... Home defense is M&P 2.0, 40 S&W, 5 inch or 1911 DS 45 ACP... Because if anything that walks through 15 rds of the Lord's caliber, it's just my time.

Carry a Kahr TP9 often. It is slightly larger than the P9 and holds 1 additional round. I appreciate the smooth trigger and compact size. The Kahr literature says that the position of the chamber is slightly further back than a traditional striker fired pistol because of the trigger mechanism and this contributes to it being less "snappy", allows for slightly longer barrel vs. similar sized competitive pistols, and slightly higher velocity. I got mine unfired/used for $350. Great price, very good gun.

Kahr premium line, like these two are outstanding and well built pistols. They are criticized for being a single stack ,9mm..Large capacity magazines are a 15:24 great, but statistics show average gunfights don't exceed 5 or 6 rounds fired total. The long striker trigger press is smooth. Like any other platform, you train enough you can be just as proficient as with any other striker firing platform. I have shot Kahrs for thirteen years. They are very good pistols. Unfortunately high capacity magazine marketing, has been advertised as the Holy grail. Nothing wrong with them, but overblown. You are well served with a seven or eight round Kahr. I carry a Kahr P9...Feels great it the hand, and super accurate, with it's match grade barrel. Very well balanced too. Kahr are erroneously underrated, and under appreciated.

Had the P9 & P40 - outstanding firearms. Sold them to friends during 2015 'drought' in California - replaced them with the K9 & PM9. ALL fire flawlessly, are extremely accurate, easy to maintain, eat any ammo I put through them, and have that incredibly smooth triggers. They are my CCW guns - they disappear on my person. For home or woods I utilize 10mm Glocks. The sweet thing is, the KAHRs & Glocks work nearly the same - so muscle memory is retained and no degradation when training between brands. In my book, an excellent setup.

It's a kind of trigger that Massad Ayoob recommends to avoid being sued on accusations of accidental discharge. Being long and smooth with no wall is a cure for flinching, because you get an easy surprise trigger break. Long reset, yeah. But you'd better not get into the habit of trying to "catch the link" if you ever carry a small revolver as a back-up. The trigger is like that of a double-action revolver that was heavily tuned for PPC competition use only.
You get the ballistics of a 3.6" barrel in a gun the size that usually comes with a 3.2" barrel. And being only 0.9" wide has concealment advantages.

Very unprepared. Didn’t know the difference between a stainless steel gun and a polymer before they turned the camera on. Didn’t do basic research about the gun. I’ve had a Kahr MK-9 for 25 years. These were adopted by the Detective Bureau of the NYPD in the first two years of production. Federal Agents have been carrying these undercover since the 90s. Gun is as small as a PPK but shoots +P+ 9mm rounds. There are very few guns that can be so deeply concealed in any weather and give you that kind of stopping power in a life or death situation. So yeah, I agree with “clueless”

How do "gun guys" have no knowledge of Kahr firearms? The "P" series also have polygonal rifled barrels, non-mim parts, night sights, and tighter tolerances all around as it is their flagship model. The CW series are the less expensive but still great models just less "bells & whistles" but still shoot great. The Kahr trigger is the absolute smoothest trigger you will ever shoot. These are of course DAO firearms but you will not mind it at all. Accuracy is above par and mine have always fed anything...oh yeah...ALL American made as well.
