    For your Followers; check PST Suspension, local auto parts store for Moog parts, and Dodge dealership for HEMI leaf springs.
    - On a budget, I rebuilt my ‘71 Barracuda front and rear suspensions. Did the work myself; well, I had my brother do the the actual work. Just saying; do your own work and avoid labor costs.

    Definitely want to keep my Mopar torsion bar system, Mopar made it that way and it should stay that way, just improve the original suspension but don't want to ruin a good car with a rack and pinion or anything else just better bushings and what have you

      @@LifeatSpeed I had a hard time last time getting to to the correct location and tension so both sides have the same tension and bolt lengths

    • @LifeatSpeed
      @LifeatSpeed  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I wouldn't go off of bolt length. If there is a slight difference in wheel rate between the two the bolt length won't be the same. I simply go off of ride height measured from the center of the wheelwell to the ground and make it the same on both sides.

    I have a Firm Feel power box in my 72 that's sitting on the full Hotchkiss suspension front and back along with
    Cal Tracks bars in the back. The Firm Feel still has that little bit of dead zone on center I am not happy with.
    Do you know if the Borgeson will get rid of that?

    love your videos man , did you use the cooler for the borgeson steering box , also what about the column adapter from bergman , does this coupler saves you from cutting the steering shaft ? thanks man

    • @LifeatSpeed
      @LifeatSpeed  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks! I unfortunately still haven't had time to install the borgeson box, but I didn't order the cooler. I might order it and install it when I do get the box installed. The adapter he has allows you to install the box without cutting the column, assuming you have a power steering column as the manual steering column shaft is longer and would need to be cut.

    Redoing my 65' Belvedere at this time. I have the offset Bushing for the UCA's. Do you still use the OEM Bolt/washer/nuts?
    Thanks in advance. Great video and good info!

    • @LifeatSpeed
      @LifeatSpeed  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, you use the original bolts washers and nuts

    $1400 for the steering box? Are you in Canada? $ 900 here in USA.

    • @LifeatSpeed
      @LifeatSpeed  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's US price for the complete kit with the special steering column adapter and hose adapters from Bergman, plus a new pump and mounting brackets for the pump. It's not just the box.

    So i have a 70 RR I'm putting together . Has a 440 thats putting a little over 500hp with 530 FPTorque . Torsion bars are stock but I'd like to upgrade to bigger . Will the bigger ones fit in the sane hole and lower control arms ?

    • @LifeatSpeed
      @LifeatSpeed  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, aftermarket torsion bars are designed to fit into the factory original lower control arm and torsion bar crossmember.
