    It always comes down to the price and how much. It’s the only way to be able to see if the service your proving is worth it.

      NK if I apply somewhere . That's the first thing I ask .
      25$ and below I'll know most of those security guards are going to be clowns and you'll be working with clowns and that's how people get hurt

    Have to understand in many situation potential customers don't actually want or feel a need for security but there's insurance/licensing laws which force them to have security at their event/facility. Is the same in many safety industries.

      Great point Ben. Even though they may have to have it, they still care about the service their getting. I have to have auto insurance, that doesn't mean I get the cheapest rate I from the most disreputable company I can find. ;-)

    I scheduled a phone interview with Allied Universal. NO ONE CALLED. The recruiter or manager assigned to interview me for a nice site that pays $20 an hour wasted my time applying online.
    I need a security guard job desperately. Falling behind with all my bills. I am former Navy and cannot get a job in NY, a state that favors illegal aliens over legal citizens.
    Thank God I have some cash put aside for a rainy day.
    QUESTION
    Why would Allied schedule a phone interview and then never call? I feel that the interviewer does not care as long as he or she has an income. It's not a good impression, honestly.

    I have an issue with possible bad guy knowing exactly where the officer is also, how do you get around that?

    • @Officerreports
      @Officerreports  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Great question, the easiest answer is random patrols. But even then, it's still hard. You have to make sure that you have a hardened perimeter that serves as your first layer of security.

      The company is setting themselves up for disaster. Having no camera at all is better than having a "dummy" camera. Dummy cameras give employees and visitors a false sense of security that attorneys pounce on with both feet! May as well get out the BIG checkbook!

    First off I don’t deal with seeing clients we do federal contracts and I am private contracts that’s it all my officers start out 20 to 30 bucks an hour . Unless a client is too stupid to understand you get what you pay for if you’re paying a guy anywhere from $12-$16 17 an hour you’re going to get a shit officer end of story ... same thing with ppo work and bodyguard work you get what you pay .! I hate Clients that complain and then don’t wanna pay or they’ll take a bed for some small hole in the wall idiot company just starting out her beds a contract to try to pass security officer $2000 a month salary what a fucking joke. That’s the problem in our industry

    • @Officerreports
      @Officerreports  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      well I was watching the videos and they were helpful but until someone asked about it being a black dollar business and then you reply it you are........that's just sad to me when you have to know if it's black or white or yellow. That's poor business. here I thought you were talking about getting all groups of people on networking but sucks if they find out you really only want black ones. To me color doesn't matter. Sorry you feel that way.

    • @ellerbeewv6438
      @ellerbeewv6438 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@BillyP-49Chevy It would be wrong to take from this that the business doesn't want anything but black customers. Black people ask about this because the voice of the ever-present, and now increasing, hostility toward ideas that would effectively help minority communities through government tells everyone that we are on our own, and there should be no further help. Some say that we should be about helping our own communities, so many in the minority community reply by trying to steer business toward those who may have been disadvantaged by prejudice in the past (and present). It doesn't mean that we are trying to be prejudiced, ourselves, but it merely says we want to steer our business to those who need our patronage the most. I have many friends who say "I don't see color." We'd like to have the luxury of being that way too, but every week of the business year somebody brings into sharp focus that our color DOES matter. We're not living in the fantasy of fully equal opportunity, but in the reality that we must support each other in a purposeful way to build and sustain businesses that support our communities, instead of those that take resources away from our communities. That's good business.

      @@ellerbeewv6438 not saying don't help your own in fact where I come from it's not the color of your skin it's how well you do your job. If you looked at someone's skin color then you're only looking at one part of a city or one part of a state. It's called segregation. I'm white but I just don't look at people's skin color. Sorry. you may say it's good business but I say I help anyone and everyone in need of good security. Just a matter of opinion, not saying you're wrong or I'm right, I simply help out the people for the color of their money, not their skin. It's all good. feedback can only help someone's business and I'll try to look at it differently I guess.
