@@CyberSkullMedia All I can say you have no idea until you hear the live version of this song Domination. It features every member and have many extras above the recorded version. Highly recommended to give it a listen.
Wow, the three stooges of metal, and of course the dumb reference to shity BabyMetal couldn't be missing... and after almost four boring minutes of blah blah blah I realized that they are reacting to the official MV and not the live version ... I automatically left the video playback.👎
This is the first comment of many saying to check out the live version which is at another level. They need to be seen live to fully appreciate. Energy is unreal. Domination Live, Play Live or Hate Live are good starters. Thanks for checking them out.
We totally had no idea where to start and couldn't find the specific comment we had gotten a while back so we rolled with this one... just means we gotta get the live one a go to see if our feelings change!
@@CyberSkullMedia It's not a rabbit hole it's a Pigeon Hole ! "HATE?" Official Live is a newer performance! Their all in their 30's now and have really improved the shows =)
We plan to! Schedule is pretty jam packed through the end of the year but we will try and sneak one in as soon as we can! We have some really cool stuff coming up we wil be covering in December!
Thanks for reviewing Band Maid guys. I suspect you were requested to look at the official LIVE video of this song, which is by far the best version and has had multitudes of incredibly positive reviews.
Listen... lol. We have a lot going on right now and we swung and missed! However it started us down this rabbit hole so we WILL cover the live version and Roger's request at some point in the future!
Guys, you have just discovered one of the best damned rock band performing right now. I'm 75 and have seen a lot of rock music in my life, including the iconic, i.e. Cream, Led Zeppelin, Lynrd Skynrd, Allman Brother Band, Devo, hell even Elvis. These women are the real deal. At my age, I went to two of their live concerts and they are two of the best live concerts I have been to in my life. You need to do reactions to their live music videos (including Domination) to really see what these young musicians are about. I suggest you react to "Hate?", the official live video, to see how far this band has come in their decade together. The song was performed at the 10th Anniversary Tour finale in Yokohama in November 2023. If you rock with a Motorhead vibe, I suggest you react to "Moratorium", the officlal live video from the Tokyo Zepp Theatre and "Clang" the official live video. The two bands' fan bases are not at war with each other. None of the J-Rock bands are at war with each other. They all have different niches. BabyMetal is more a choreographed singing group of young Japanes females with a heavy metal backing band of all males, LoveBites is an all-female heavy metal band. Band-Maid is genre defying rock group that can incorporate ANY genre into their sound (including rap and hip-hop. They have been commissioned to do the entres and outros for several full length Japanese animes. The women are all incredible musicians individually, who play their own instruments. If you react to the songs I suggest, you will be blown away by their talent. They also write, arrange, and record their own music. The idea behind Band-Maid is what they call the "gap" of what you see is going to be blown away by the music. Do yourself a favor and give Band-Maid a chance.
Well you sir are both a gentleman and a scholar and someone that we would love to sit down and have a conversation with sometime! The amount of things you have gotten to witness in the music world must be astounding!!! thank you for being here!!!
BAND MAID is real good band, BABYMETAL are idol group from a talent agency with in a metal band in back name Kami band, they didn't write their songs. BAND MAID songs are written by the band, lyrics are mainly from the 2 Vocalist and the melody are from the lead guitarist. The lead guitarist KANAMI annonce the creat her signature model of PRS GUITAR. She's the 1st female guitarist from Japan to had this type of honor by PRS.
@@saikii69 When we are exposed to a brand new artist with a largely active fanbase, we LISTEN to them and will keep covering them and take the journey they think is best for us to take. We are no strange to large engaging fanbases but this will be the second one we have organically come across so we will absolutely take your suggestions to heart!
Thundarius gets it. Good job. The gap between what you see and what you hear is the point and it never gets old. Fun, fun, fun with a positive message.
For the two gentlemen in black, listen to Hate live, From Now on metal instrumental, Rinne - song in tribute to movie of serial killer, Toi et Moi, I still seek Revenge: these tunes might be more your cup of tea. Band - Maid is their own genre. They have huge discography of over 140 songs of many styles.
“HATE?” Live is a must! The founder of the band, Miku, back up singer/guitar, worked at a maid cafe and this was her dream. She made her dream come true. It takes more than one listen to really understand them.
Welcome to BAND-MAID!!! Aye. I get ya. I avoided them for a few months because of their stage attire. I knew about maid cafes, but I was more concerned with the type of music and my biggest concern was the vocals. Domination Live was my first track from them and it is heavier than the studio and has a extended middle section that made me a fan and I had no problems checking other songs from them. Still one of the best decisions every that I made that I wish that I had made sooner. I'm going to guess the suggestion was for the Live version of Domination. Play (Live), Real Existence (Live), HATE? (Live), Onset (Live), Puzzle (Live) Dice (MV), Blooming (MV), From Now On (MV), Manners (MV), Rinne (MV) or pick any video from them. Thanks and have a good day!!!
@@CyberSkullMedia You have well over 100 songs to choose from...about 2/3rds of those have associated videos to watch!! Double that if you include both Live, MV's, Documentaries and the various video's of Miku's Omajinai Time!! Po!
Great reaction, I really enjoy your format. One of the better reactions out there. Well timed pauses and you are doing the obligatory rewinds to not miss the transitions. Thundarius is doing a great job in moderating. Everybody else have already told what to react to, so I won't do that 😂
@@CyberSkullMedia The cover was done same day as they were supposed to play at Knotfest Tokyo in 2020. It was cancelled because of the pandemic. So they did a spontanous livestream, which became their thing during. There were some livestream services who did quite well during the pandemic. The maids did play Knotfest 2023.
Watch HATE? Live from Yokohama Arena and I guarantee you'll be rocking hard. They're the best hard rock band on the planet. They write their own music and play their own instruments, unlike Baby Metal. You need to see them live to understand how good they are.

Totally missing out on the live performance. This is where these ladies thrive and show just how much talent they have. The most technically sound group out, imo. I actually went to Tokyo and saw them in May and it's FANTASTIC. Japanese rock/metal is on fire all across the globe right now. These ladies played Lolla awhile back and it's brought even more people into what Japan has to offer in the current music scene.
I know everyone has already said it, but live is their superpower!!! Welcome to Band-Maid! They’ve been around for 11 years now and are a force to be reckoned with! Please check out Domination Live, or if you want to try something else, Hate! - live is amazing!!!
I’m not disappointed they gave it a mid I’m just disappointed you didn’t react to ‘Puzzle’ which was my original request especially after communicating with you guys on three separate occasions. And you said you were gonna give me a shoutout. I’m not mad just disappointed 🍺😔
We sincerely apologize with the deepest intent! The past couple weeks have been a LOT in our lives and it was hard going back and finding the requests... However, that being said, we will 100% make up for this! Not sure when, but we WILL! This comment has now been saved somewhere it won't be missed!
These young ladies are the best rock band around. Their recorded work is phenomenal, and live is on another level. They have toured the U.S. and I can't wait for them to come back as I didn't discover them until after they played in my area.
Several of big fans of Band Maid from the music world. Tony Visconti, long-time producer of David Bowie, T Rex, and many others. In a special letter a few years ago he asked the girls to let him produce one of their songs ("Dragon Cries"). Mike Einziger, founder of Incubus, wrote a song for them "Bestie", which they played together during Incubus' concert in Japan. The Warning, three sisters from Mexico playing rock. They recorded a song "Show Them" together with Band Maid. Yoshiki, founder of probably the most famous Japanese rock band X Japan, last year invited them to play before the American concert of his new supergroup The Last Rockstars.
THE best Hard Rock band on the planet. Try HATE? live at Yokohama Arena from 2023 to see what a force of nature they have become in the 6 years or so since the Domination MV was released.
This music video is well made, but if we compare it to a movie, it's like a short trailer. The main thing you should see is the main film playing in the theater. BAND-MAID are a serious live band, and this song was made to be performed live. There is an official live video, so you can see that for sure. They are truly talented musicians, and have the power to bring rock fans who have been disappointed with rock back to rock. Have fun! They have also written several theme songs for anime. My favorite is 'Protect You'.
BAND AID heals your wounds ... BAND MAID heals your soul. BAND MAID is: Miku Kobato (小鳩 ミク) - rhythm guitar, vocals, PR (Band founder, lyricist ... our flappy pigeon, po!) Kanami Tōno (遠乃 歌波) - lead guitar (musical composer extraordinaire - the princess) Akane Hirose (廣瀬 茜) - drums, percussion (see bananas ... and ramen - the gorilla) Misa - bass guitar (drinks hard liquor and performs without shoes on stage - the barefoot assassin) Saiki Atsumi (厚見 彩姫) - lead vocals ("we dance in the palm of her hand" - Domination - The Queen)
I'm going to join the chorus of Maidaics asking you to give the band a second chance but please check out a live video. Hate will probably be the one most requested. And speaking of anime Band-Maid's music has been used in several anime including: One and Only, Glory, Different, Sense, Shambles and Protect You. Their music video for Unleash while not an anime was filmed in an anime style.
Thanks for reacting to the greatest band in the world! I was unsure about checking them out a few years but once I went down the pigeon-hole I was addicted. I've seen several dozen rock and metal shows and the 2 Band-Maid concerts I've been to are at the top. Check out their live performances.
Word up from a 75-year old bassist and lead vocalist for several rock bands...BAND-MAID followers are rabid and we defend the maids. Oh well, at least one of the three of you dug it. Seemed like two of you were prepared to hate the music even before listening to it. And, there is more to Japanese culture than anime. Written from Shinjuku, Tokyo, Japan at 11:40AM.
Oh we know, we just wanted to find some common ground to relate and show where we are coming from with our personal tastes a bit. No one was prepared to hate it at all, everyone went in open to it, the boys just were having a hard time with the way the vocals sounded more than anything but they are both totally open and willing to cover more and to cover the live stuff and see if their opinions change! Appreciate you being here!
Babymetal just toured South America with Slipknot. A mix of Knotfests and regular concerts where Babymetal was the opener. Corey Taylor is a long time fan of Babymetal. They have a cameo in his song "CMFT" along with a lot of other metal acts. Band-Maid also was one of the scheduled acts at a Knotfest in Japan that got canceled because of Covid. After the cancellation, they streamed their instrumental cover of "Duality". Recently Band-Maid had their picture taken with Shawn "Clown" Crahan at another festival in Japan. Most Japanese bands with overseas ambitions (like Band-Maid and their goal of "World Domination") recognize Babymetal's trailblazing. And yes, I follow both bands, I've seen each of them twice so far. And both bands should be seen live, they both really feed off the audience energy.

The maid outfits were the idea of Miku Kobato (rhythm guitar/lyricist/band founder). She wanted to create what she called a gap (the difference between how they look and how they sound). Now, they call the maid outfits as their battle amour. Btw, they are one of the best live bands on this planet. So I suggest you check their live videos😉
Welcome, Cyber Skulls. You are embarking on (along with many others - 220 million YT views, plus over 40 million reactor plays!) an awesome, progressive, hard-rock journey with 5 incredible women. Here's my intro blurb for those who may be new to Band-Maid:
BAND-MAID’s songs and sound beat with the heart and soul of all rockers. But you’ll also hear heavy influences of Prog, Punk, Metal and Pop, with nice touches of Blues, Jazz, Funk and Grunge. Sometimes they use multiple genres within the same song. Their Composition, Execution, Joy of Playing, Consistency (144 songs), Uniqueness, Charisma, Charm and, oh yeah, Cuteness factor, position them as becoming the hard rock Beatles of our time! I could see some first-timers to Band-Maid would be thrown off by their look and sound. Many fixate on their maid costumes and ignore their talent to seamlessly blend a wide array of genres of music into a unique yet familiar sound of their own. As far as the costumes go, I love it; it provides a memorable persona. Many Band-Maid fans forget they are even in costume and are solely immersed in their music. They evoke something nostalgic to many of us older fans that have been missing from music nowadays. They are one of those rare bands that sound better live than their studio recordings. I have been addicted to this band since I first heard them about six or seven years ago. I recommend at least 5 to 6 tracks from their early stuff to the present day to get a good grasp of what they have to offer. I would not sleep on this band they truly have stood the test of time. They have been one of the most prolific bands you will ever find by producing well over 130 quality studio and live tracks in over a decade's time. This band needs to be Illuminated.
We are always open to taking deeper looks, we cover Ren and he has a wide variety of music he offers so we are no stranger to that! It's just getting to know the community surrounding Band Maid and figuring out HOW to go down this journey!
Pretty fair takes tbh. Domination while good song and great video does raise more questions than answers to people who are not too sure about "maid" thing. But also live version of this song has ruined the video for me. I think live version is hugely better. Especially as a newcomer to the band. Hate? or Play live versions would be my recomendations to listen to next or music video From Now On is absolute banger. Hope you check more of them out despite being little bit mid. Also check out another japanese band called Hanabie. might be more for your overall tastes.
We were not quite sure where to start, had a hard time finding previous comments requesting something, so we went this route... just means we gotta cover the live version then!
And a thing about the maid outfits, Skulls: as Fans and Maidiacs know, Miku -- the 2nd guitarist, lyricist, founder and who worked at a maid cafe -- wanted to show that everyday working "Kawaii" girls dressed as maids in high heels while having fun and smiling could rock as hard as any guy band sweating it up in their hip, poor tortured artists "outfits"... and by showing that contrast (the Gap), it would generate interest, which it so successfully has done! It also represents Woman Power (Equality), which is an important theme with the Maids. Now they show up as Maids for all band business and interviews, etc. and have created a long-lasting, unmistakable, visual band brand. Very cleaver, Miku. Your diabolical plan for world domination is working, Po! Of course, none of this would work if their music and stage performance wasn't at such a remarkably high level. Band-Maid is considered by many of their fans and Maidiacs to be the best hard rock band in the world - maid outfits and all!
Theres a picture taken with akane n kanami with the kami band obviously take after a band maid show , so no theres no war between band maid n babymetal
Im 73 and seen bands from Allman Bros to Zappa. From Rock punk jazz folk. This band is by far the best band ever. My first encounter was a mv from lollapalooza Hate and like you i was wtf? which is their point. The music and talent will win you over. Please try a live mv to get a different take. My first time seeing you too.
We absolutely will! We are super open to new things and don't always know where to go and did not know about the live stuff so you can bet we will drop more in the future and we will cover this one again but live! Thank you for being here and giving us a chance!
Welcome to the wonderful world of BAND-MAID! I liked the fact that your ratings are not based on scores. BAND-MAID is a band that cannot be evaluated after hearing just one song. BAND-MAID does not fit into a single genre, and its songs are very diverse. Above all, they are a live band, and while their OMVs are good, their live versions are on a different level. I don't think you guys will be disappointed, so why don't you follow BAND-MAID for a while?
We weren't sure about it but we gave it a shot. If we get enough support on this one we will absolutely keep diving further. It won't be a weekly thing but we certainly will!
@@craigfenson The genre of BAND-MAID is BAND-MAID, and I have no objection to that. The genre has been mentioned for years from JAPAN, where I live. Don't we leave it to the reactors to decide what they feel when they listen to BAND-MAID? Wouldn't it be better to avoid preconceptions and prejudice for those who are listening to BAND-MAID for the first time?
Band-Maid has already dominated the world =) Thanks to TH-cam they have fans everywhere ! I saw them in the US twice in 2022 and Twice in 2023 all were sold out ! They also played Rockville at Daytona Speedway and Lollapalooza Band-Maid shines when performing live =)
@@CyberSkullMedia... I admit that maybe it's a bold assessment...but in my 62 years and all my life listening to rock from everywhere. I can tell you that nothing had made me believe in rock music again like these girls (more than 11 years ago)... "Thrill", "The non fiction days", "Alone", "Freedom. .. live!", "Onset live", and up to 132 brutal songs, reason everything I expose... yourselves. 😎😎😎
first off, thank you for taking time to listen to these ladies. i'll personally take the mid 'cause music is very subjective. heck, even a negative reaction can be acceptable for me as long as the reasons are grounded on music. and also, opinions are opinions at the end of the day. now the second thing you were anxious about possible seething comments on -- the comparison. band-maid are way too different from babymetal. reason one: babymetal are technically two groups -- female performers upfront and actual musicians [badass, i might say] providing the music backdrop; band-maid are the musicians themselves. the only thing an ounce worth comparing to is the aesthetic and that's it. their reasons are vastly different. the maid aesthetic was borne out of the band founder's work background [she used to work at a maid café while also trying to jumpstart a music career]. it later dawned upon her to match the visuals with rock music to create 'the gap' or 'moe gap' in japanese subculture [which the two of you guys found odd/weird, so that means she succeeded]. from that concept, the initial members were established, performed/composed together and their music grew and evolved, 11 years and counting. the babymetal aesthetic pandered on a fetish, which one of you mentioned. their producer exploited this lolita fetish/asian exotic impression and became successful in creating a music cash cow. now that's cleared, the world domination [motto], in their own words, is about spreading their brand of music throughout the globe. based on the fan base they have internationally, i'd say they have relatively succeeded. now the ladies have recently emancipated themselves from the management that handled their career and created their own company to take care of their trajectory. to us fans it's another good thing to look forward to. i wouldn't push it on your friends if they find band-maid's music not interesting. peering at your channel, it seems you're leaning into rap/nu metal. the ladies do incorporate different elements -- nu metal/post grunge included -- into their material. but that's for you guys to personally check out. all i can say is band-maid tick all the boxes. they are a sisterhood of outstanding musicianship, stage showmanship, a collective genius, and they foster positive outlook and firm resolution [see 'hate?']. also, they are silly, which makes them relatable. good luck on your channel. hope you find the thing that'll make your channel grow. honesty is a good thing, so keep it up. but if in case a second serving of band-maid will turn your ears keenly toward them, then we welcome you to the 'pigeon' hole.
Thank you so much for the lore and info!!! Ren has been major for our channel and we have some videos that are have great views for US, we were maybe at 300 subs this time last year and recently started this series in June. It's about organically finding bands and communities like this for us because first and foremost we are a channel that is a MASSIVE proponent for indie and small label artists and will continue to cover the artists we love even if they get 100 views because the world needs to know about them. We started expanding our musical tastes and things we react to and Band Maid came because of that. No matter how big we get we will ALWAYS cover the small artists that DESERVE more attention than they get! Hopefully people find us from some of these larger artists and like us enough to give our other videos a chance even if they don't know who we are covering!
Thanks for the review! It seems Dillon and Shades have some pre-conceived biases/notions that one MV viewing couldn’t quite crack. How else do you explain “they are really good musicians and singers, but I just have a disconnect”? That just means you’ll have to check out more Band-Maid, but live next time. Hate? has the best lyrics ever, but all the other recommendations are good too.
Not heavy like a lot of other Japanese bands, no screaming, but technically (punk, metal, jazz, rock, and progressive rock), they are way up there. Their concerts are fun and they have a huge world wide fan base.
Although both BABYMETAL and Band-Maid's fan bases have their fair share of hardline (and borderline toxic) fans who love the one and can't tolerate people liking the other, but then that's true of every band. But there are a ton of people who simply love both bands, and there's nothing wrong with that. Many fans have become so ensnared by the female Japanese rock and metal scene that they follow several Japanese bands and have practically abandoned American and European metal. As you inevitably dive deeper into the J-scene, you'll hear several names show up a lot - LOVEBITES, Nemophila, Hanabie, Aldious, Fate Gear, Bridear are among the cream of the crop of all-female bands, along with Band-Maid (BABYMETAL is female-fronted, but with a male band). The male and mxed-gender bands are top tier, too.
Thank you so much! We definitely plan to cover them more, in spite of there being some toxic fans in the comments, most of you have been very welcoming and understanding!
@@powbobs There is no pd connection. Sure there are some pervy fans, but that has nothing to do with the group, that'sa on the fans. Every group out there that has at least one female member has pervy fans. All over the world, no matter what country they are from. When BABYMETAL first formed and chose to go with the Gothic Lotita fashion style, they weren't planning to blow up worldwide, they were marketef to a Japanese audience. Gothic Lolita fashion does not really have a sexual connotation in Japan. It's very popular in Harajuku and other youth fashion centers, as it symbolizes eternal youth, innocence and kawaii culture. It was mostly Western fans who came later that started sexualizing them, and you may have noticed they changed their style pretty soon after that started happening. But long story short, hating a musical group because of how *some* of their fans decided to act is the very height of stupidity. Probably the dumbest reason I have ever heard for hating a musical act.
Best Band on the planet! They have been around since 2013 and PLAY their own instruments (unlike BabyMetal). Why the cringe against the maid uniforms? “Gimmicks” have been around since KISS and scores of other bands since. And NOW it’s a problem? The back-up singer used to be a Maid at a Maid Cafe and wanted to juxtapose the hard rock style with their more gentle look. Could it be the ‘Mid’-reactors have something against beautiful ladies from Japan making sounds usually reserved for big ugly white guys? I’ve been to Rush, Led Zeppelin and Van Halen concerts AND Band Maid in 2023. An OG to say the least and I’d go back to Band Maid if I could only go to one more concert. Listen to their catalog. They are diverse and musically have no equal.. Thanks for given them a chance…..I like the guy who gave the Fire Rating. He was right on. Try “hate?”, “moratorium” or any of their 100+ songs. They are legends in the making. I LOVE BAND MAID ❤❤
It's just a matter of personal taste and nothing more! Also, this is VERY outside of the typical listening of the boys but they are totally open to continuing and seeing how this goes and where this goes!
Has anyone mentioned the word "live" yet. 🤣 Anyway, I get it. The "Gap" between what you see vs. what you hear is a pretty big leap. Oddly, it's intentional and one of the bazillion (rough estimate) reasons why I love this band. Mostly though, it's The Maids chops... at everything they do. They truly are amazing. Pretty sure you'll see if ya keep going down "The Pigeonhole". Be well gents and rock on! 🕊
@@CyberSkullMedia The founder of the band, Miku Kobato is aka the pigeon. She has another alias "Cluppo" under which she has released solo music. She is the secondary vocalist and rhythm guitarist. She ended up in that role after deciding her voice wasn't suitable for the lead in this band. It was at this point she also decided to learn guitar to fill out the band sound. Quite a character!
@@CyberSkullMedia Sure...ready? You know what a Rabbit Hole is, right? Well, Miku Kobato (Band Founder, Rhythm Guitar, 2nd Vocalist, Bad ass, etc.) is actually an 810-year-old pigeon (don't ask). "Kobato" in Japanese means "small pigeon". So, as you dive deeper into the Band-Maid catalog, it is known as "falling down the pigeonhole". It's also a trap with no escape, so BEWARE! 🤣🕊
Also, as some others have said, you really need to check out the live version. It's on another level! Band-Maid and BABYMETAL both (as well as LOVEBITES, who you didn't mention) are built for the live experience. Their music videos are okay, nothing really wrong with them, but the lives are absolutely EPIC! That's where their magic lies. There are very few bands outside of Japan who do live mixes as well as the Japanese do (especially the three bands mentioned in this comment, although LOVEBITES live sound is mixed by the same Finnish guys who mix for Nightwish).
MISA! MISA! MISA! Holding the Line in Solid Guitar Rock, Band Maid has picked up the Mantel of Rock'n'Roll where the West has left it behind! As good as their MV's can be, Band Maid MUST be experienced LIVE!!! A truly phenomenal Live Band..hell I will say it...They are Better LIVE!!!! (except the Manners MV - that was a work of art!!) More Band Maid Always!! Po!
LOL…. Love your reactions guys. I’m busting a gut when you use the “voice “ effect and can’t stop grinning. Great setup and really dig shaded background. lol.., it’s from their “World Domination “ album.
"HATE" OFFICIAL LIVE VIDEO FROM YOKOHAMA ARENA AND YOU CAN WALK AWAY FROM BAND-MAID IF YOU CAN. BABY METAL IS AN ALL DUDE BAND WITH CHEERLEADERS NO COMPARISON
If it's fire you're looking for they've come quite a way since 'Domination', but this isn't even the Official LIVE version. It's much heavier and has an extended solo section. 'Hate?' LIVE really brings it. Or the Music Video for 'Shambles' has actual FIRE in it, I mean Flames!, as well as being a super heavy song. Check it! And though it is awesome! Watching BAND-MAID in a Music Video is like not watching KISS LIVE. There are very few songs where the Official LIE version isn't the best version. So, even though 'Shambles' is one of those, BAND-MAID shines best LIVE.
This is definitely one of the best rock bands in the world. I do recommend watching their official live videos over the MVs. Not the MVs are bad but this band was made to perform live and their live performances are just insane and much better to listen too. I am a fan of both band maid and babymetal, there is no contention. Band Maid is hard rock, focused on their musicianship and live performance, Babymetal is metal, more about the girls and their vocals and performance, there are in fact fewer bands like Band maid than say Babymetal, where metalverse exists(baby metal's sister group, love bites and others)
In the future go with the "live videos" instead of the studio "music videos". They are so much better live. And so alive. Their stage presence is off the charts. Forget the lyrics. If you listen to jazz singer doing scat, with no actual words, it still sounds great. So just listen to the sounds of the singing as if it's another instrument. And as for Babymetal vs Band-Maid. No conflict between them. Many fans of one are fans of the other. But the bands are completely different. Band-Maid play their own instruments and are virtuoso musicians. Babymetal has a band of metal studio musicians (that change at various times) with three female pop singers and dancers in front. Finally, the original idea was that the cute maid costumes were the complete opposite of the hard rock sound of the band. Like a slap in the face to the new viewers. Next time try "Hate?" live from Yokohama Arena
Well thank you for the lore! We just did what we typically do, cover the music video, read and digest the lyrics, and gave our opinions! Looking forward to checking them out more!
Band-Maid, Babymetal, LOVEBITES, Otoboke Beaver, Hanabie. I have seen all these Japanese bands over the last two years, and I am totally hooked and not coming back! Their live performances are top-quality technically (every one of these bands) and so much fun! I'm kinda bored now if I can clearly understand all the lyrics to a song! So passe!!!🤣
Did anybody said 'live' ? also ... I'd try 'Hate?' if you ask me. It's newer and they are really like a good wine : they get better every year.. .ALSO : you'll probably enjoy the lyrics more.
Yes, there MVs are good but they are best live, i would suggest their track HATE? live from Yokohama arena 2023, it was there 10th anniversary tour final concert, it lasted 3 and 1/2 hours and 33 songs, or possibly this same song live, also their CCs are usually spot on, they make sure of it
Quick note: You guys must have really knocked it out of the cornfield with this BAND-MAID reaction! After just six hours you have 591 views and 100 comments to this reaction! Compare that to your recent reaction to All That Remains - Forever Cold from 6 days ago. After 6 days that reaction has only 171 views and 14 comments. Obviously your reaction skills have improved exponentially over the last six days - unless the increased response is attributable to something else…? 😊 More BAND-MAID please!
So we have videos with 10-20k views. We mostly cover stuff we are really personally into vs stuff that is going to get major reactions because we WANT to SHARE these indie or small label artists that we love with people. It's why we started doing this series in the first place. Several things we cover arent as looked for compared to say Linkin Park, but regardless we cover who we want and love or are curious about even if they don't have a large fanbase chasing down reactions. Some of the smaller stuff struggle to get 100 views, other things get 10-20k. Ren & Linkin Park are by far our biggest attention getters but we aren't going to stop covering the artists we love and are committed to covering just because of that! We are HUGE proponents for indie and small label artists and will continue to push them!
The song is about the raise of the band itself, and its plans on international fame ... which is happening, in terms of rock/metal/punk/ type bands, they sell out their international tours, and in Japan they are now at the level where they can play the largest and most famous Japanese venues (Japan is the 2nd largest music market, so in terms of comparing this to the USA market this would be on the scale of selling out of concerts in MSG) The song was released during the 1st Trump admin but it's not about that, it just uses popular symbolism of 'domination' at the time. Band-Maid is often compared to BABYMETAL, a huge portion of Band-Maid fans found them through BABYMETAL and I don't think we have much of a 'war' ... I prefer Band-Maid, but I still love BABYMETAL. They are two different styles, my preference is for Band-Maid, but yes, if you prefer a more pure metal genre style then preferring BABYMETAL is certainly rational. I consider Band-Maid to the the queens of 'Rhythm and riff', the Mixed Musical Arts (MMA) champs of the contemporary genres of music Association(they don't play a genre, they use genres of music as a composition and arrangement tool) As for something not matching ... that is actually the point. The creator of the Band (the rhythm guitarist and backup vocalist) worked at a maid's cafe and thought it would be interesting to have a hard rock band contrasted with the maid-cafe image. They went with that 'gimmick', which by the way fans quickly get used to and even appreciate since they change them up and continue to evolve everything, including their fashion styles. If this song wasn't your thing (I'd advise you check out their live version of this before you make a final call) then there is a good chance that there are Band-Maid songs that will be your thing. Unless 'your thing' is stuck on one 'genre or sub-genre', in which case ... my sympathies ;-)
This band fucking rocks! You should have watched the official live video. Check out Hate live! Seen them four times and they are best live. My favorite band in a decade. 🔥 🔥🔥
Being from Iowa, I know all about Maid-Rights. These MAIDS are more than right. They are AWESOME! You’ll see… Usually you’ll want to check out their LIVE videos. Those live videos include: DOMINATION HATE? Don’t you tell ME PLAY ONSET REAL EXISTENCE These sounds also have live versions, but I prefer the music videos to: MANNERS FROM NOW ON The Non-Fiction Days THRILL Don’t you tell ME If the lyrics throw you, go directly to From Now On and ONSET - both instrumentals. More BAND-MAID please!
Before you lock in your evaluations, check out the LIVE version of DOMINATION. I’ll bet you a Maid-Rite you come away with a much higher opinion of our Maids.
Just subscribed! Half because you’re Iowans and half because I can’t wait to see your reactions to DOMINATION (live!) and From Now On (instrumental - music video.) Band-Maid fans are called Maidiacs. And a few of us resent BAND-MAID comparisons to BABYMETAL. BAND-MAID are world class musicians (you’ll figure that out after taking in a few more videos.) BABYMETAL is a dance group. To put it in language an Iowan will understand: BAND-MAID is Iowa State. BABYMETAL is University of Iowa. Keep reviewing BAND-MAID! The likes, comments, and new subscriptions will follow! They always do.
Welcome to the wonderful world of Band-Maid. First, your opinions are your opinions. So like the Maids...or don't like the Maids. It's really up to you as music is subjective. But I have a sneaky suspicion after a few songs, you will love the Maids like many of us do. Great music is great music. Second, there is no war between any of the Japanese bands, at least as far as I'm aware. Band-Maid is my favorite, but I do also like Baby-Metal, Lovebites, Hagane, Nemophila, Koiai, East of Eden, Neki, etc. I will warn you, like everywhere else around the world, there are hardcore fans of bands which will only allow you to love one band and you must also only love that one band....LOL. Unfortunately, the comments can, sadly, be a bit toxic at times. I would just ignore it. Band-Maid and Baby-Metal, are both good...just different. Baby-Metal's style was a brand new concept at it's formation over a decade ago. Japan Idols (with their singing and choreography) with a Heavy Metal Band of studio Musicians backing them..."Kawaii Metal". Some people like it. Others have a hard time with the "kawaii" (cute) concept with metal. I think it's a fire of a concept. And they are amazing. Finally, although Band-Maid is best "live", many of their studio version of songs are also fire. So please don't ignore them. Let the Maidiacs be your guide. We'll guide you as you dive into the pigeon-hole. As of the pigeon reference, Kobato is the family name of Miku, the second lead vocal, backing vocal, rhythm guitar, main lyricist and band founder. Her Kanji 小鳩 (Kobato) translate to "small pigeon". "Hato" (鳩) which is what translate to pigeon/dove, can also be conceived as 8-10. So she has taken on the persona of a 810 yr old small pigeon. Thus Miku often ends most of her sentences with "PO!" "PO!" - Onomatopoeia associated to the sound a pigeon makes in Japan is "Kuruppo" or "Poppo". "PO!" being the shortened version.
Thank you for the kind words and lore! There have been some dicks but most people have been very welcoming and understanding and we plan to cover more!
If you ignore BAND-MAID based on this one clip you will at some point in the future regret that decision. Check out Hate? Live in your own time then do more BAND-MAID reactions. They have 130 songs so it won't matter if you look at Hate? Away from the camera.
No war - Baby Metal is the gateway to Band Maid and other Japanese rock bands. Personally, my suggestion is to check out a couple more but do the live videos (Domination, Hate?, Puzzle) to get a good taste of what they’re about. Great reaction though 👍🏽

Hate? official live video is one of the most brilliant live performances I’ve ever seen, but Freedom live captures the spirit of the band and their relationship to their audience at peak level. Either one would be a great next reaction. Thundarius, you need to watch the music video of Unleash. Not sure the other guys would get it, but it will rock your anime-fan socks off.
You guys seem to have been distracted from the music by the visuals of the video. You should check out Band-Maid live, as they are one of the best live bands on the planet. My opinion is that Band-Maid are one of the best bands to have formed in the past 15 years. They play many genres and styles including ballads, power ballads, pop, rock, progressive rock, hard rock, punk, metal, nu metal, and everything before in-between and beyond. They also have several great instrumental songs that they use live to give their lead singer Saiki a break. Some song suggestions for you are Moratorium, No God, Rinne, Onset, From Now On, Without Holding Back, About Us, Play, Why Why Why, Clang, and Matchless Gum. Their latest live videos from Yokohama Arena are incredible. Don't You Tell Me and Hate are straight up bangers with guitar vs bass duels, and Endless Story is a tear jerker ballad that even choked up the lead singer, Saiki, and the drummer, Akane, since it was the last song of their 10th year anniversary tour. Also, they just released a collaboration with The Warning called Show Them which is a must listen.
Not your fault as you didn't know but this song deserves a reaction do-over with their 2020 live performance of Domination. Yes you're correct, BAND-MAID sprinkles in English words with their Japanese lyrics but they're very deliberate with their word choice so the transition is seamless and elegantly flows with the song's pace. Appreciate your honest reactions but BM dabbles in different sub-genres so there is something for everyone. If you're interested, we Maidaics humbly ask for you to give BAND-MAID one more chance by reacting to at least the first one below (I guarantee it's worth your time): - Hate? (Official live) - Freedom (2020 live) - Warning! (MV) - Shambles (MV) - Blooming (MV) - Rinne (MV or 2020 live)
That's the great part about what we do, is when we cover something brand new to us that has a very engaging community, when we are told that something is better in a different version, we will absolutely go and cover that version. We are always down to make more content and get a different side of things. Hell, for Ren we cover multiple versions of his songs in the same video that we post!
The variety of Maid Rock is insane...worth exploring. The Live videos are fire as folk recommend. For a slammin contemporary song and wicked location I recommend the 'Influencer' MV 👌🥳🤘🤘🤘
The only thing BAND-MAID and BabyMetal have in common is they're Japanese Female Fronted bands. BabyMetal is a label vehicle for SueMetal. They don't play their own instruments, they have a backing band. But Miku chose the Madi theme and name herself. She formed BAND-MAID by finding Kanami online and then asking her if she knew anyone who's good. So they formed much more organically than BabyMetal. But this song is Mid for BAND-MAID. So, you picked the wrong song! At least for this channel. And if you like anime, BAND-MAID have been commissioned for loads of those. They even appear in anime form themselves in 'Unleash'. However, no hype, they are The Best Band In The World! Especially LIVE! See my other rant.
Upvote LIVE!
I see this is going to be a recurring theme lol
The official live videos are never disappointing and full of energy. Try "Moratorium live"❤
@CyberSkullMedia Moratorium is probably there most western rock sound
Band-Maid is the best "live" band out there right now.
I'm agree. Domination live is better !
Loved it! It's the kind of music I prefer, not too hard but still got my head boppin'. I'm going to check out more of their stuff for sure!
DICE, Blooming, Choose Me, Puzzle, Don’t you tell ME, and Onset (instrumental)
Enjoy! 🤘🏽

NICE!!!
hey we had the same start to our musical journeys also close on the most recent my most recent was The Warning in 2023 Band-Maid was 2022
Dude you are me. My first concert was Kiss live at the Baton Rogue Centroplex in '78. I saw Band-Maid twice last year in Houston and Denver.
More and more BAND-MAID! Happiness for you guys await! 🎉
We plan to! Schedule is pretty jam packed through the end of the year but we will try and sneak one in as soon as we can! We have some really cool stuff coming up we wil be covering in December!
@CyberSkullMedia nice and thank you! Hope you guys will enjoy it more with BAND-MAID, and with us all, MAIDIAC! Cheers! 🥂
Live is better. Live is mandatory.
With Band-Maid, there is no better or worse, only different awesomeness.
We stepped in it with this one 😂
Thanks for reviewing Band Maid guys. I suspect you were requested to look at the official LIVE video of this song, which is by far the best version and has had multitudes of incredibly positive reviews.
Nope they were requested ‘Puzzle’ live🍺😔
That would have been perfect Roger.
Listen... lol. We have a lot going on right now and we swung and missed! However it started us down this rabbit hole so we WILL cover the live version and Roger's request at some point in the future!
@@CyberSkullMedia Advice: Lose all the American stereotypes of Japan and Japanese culture.
Thank you for the info!
If it ain't live, it ain't Band-Maid.
We now firmly understand this lol thank you!

Thank you!
We plan to cover them more!
BAND-MAID did a collab with Mexican metal band, The Warning...and it is fire. 8 women forming a supergroup.
That sounds super interesting! Will have to check it out!
FIRE!!! Band-Maid has been my favorite band for many years now... Listen to more (Hate? Live) and thanks for sharing your reaction!
thank you for being here! we plan to listen to more and the live versions!
Love this band.
We will have to keep going!
“HATE?” Live is a must! The founder of the band, Miku, back up singer/guitar, worked at a maid cafe and this was her dream. She made her dream come true. It takes more than one listen to really understand them.
We will!
Check Live version... seriously!!! This band incredible good...
We shall!
Thank you so much! It looks like there is a LOT for us to look into so we will have to see when it will work out!
Everybody else have already told what to react to, so I won't do that 😂
Thank you so much! We have learned a lot over the course of the past few months!

I discovered *BAND-MAID* in 2019 and came to a realization that *BAND-MAID* more then just a rock band they are a band that does not have any boundaries and is willing experiment into different genre from (Blues, Rock, Punk and Jazz) and a lot of fans including me would say “you got to check out their live videos” from:

Thank you SO MUCh for all of this! It will help us for sure!
They are rock and roll guardian angels and the best hard rock band on this planet🤘Keep an eye on them!!
We will!
We will give it a watch and make a video!
I know everyone has already said it, but live is their superpower!!! Welcome to Band-Maid! They’ve been around for 11 years now and are a force to be reckoned with! Please check out Domination Live, or if you want to try something else, Hate! - live is amazing!!!

@@CyberSkullMedia Yeah, right after Jesus comes back from the dead. You guys (two of you) trashed the best live rock band on the planet.
I’m not disappointed they gave it a mid I’m just disappointed you didn’t react to ‘Puzzle’ which was my original request especially after communicating with you guys on three separate occasions. And you said you were gonna give me a shoutout. I’m not mad just disappointed 🍺😔
I still love you, Roger.

We sincerely apologize with the deepest intent! The past couple weeks have been a LOT in our lives and it was hard going back and finding the requests... These young ladies are the best rock band around. Their recorded work is phenomenal, and live is on another level. They have toured the U.S. and I can't wait for them to come back as I didn't discover them until after they played in my area.
Can't wait to see more!
@@CyberSkullMedia Well, you've waited three days so far. Bye, Felicia.
Nice! thank you for all the lore! We will have to dive into some of that for sure!
You forgot to mention Jimmy Page.
The live 2020 version is what you wanna see. The jam in the middle , so longer version.

THE best Hard Rock band on the planet. Try HATE? live at Yokohama Arena from 2023 to see what a force of nature they have become in the 6 years or so since the Domination MV was released.
OK!
We will definitely check them out more and make more videos!

BAND AID heals your wounds ... BAND MAID heals your soul.
BAND MAID is:
Miku Kobato (小鳩 ミク) - rhythm guitar, vocals, PR (Band founder, lyricist ... our flappy pigeon, po!)
Kanami Tōno (遠乃 歌波) - lead guitar (musical composer extraordinaire - the princess)
Akane Hirose (廣瀬 茜) - drums, percussion (see bananas ... and ramen - the gorilla)
Misa - bass guitar (drinks hard liquor and performs without shoes on stage - the barefoot assassin)
Saiki Atsumi (厚見 彩姫) - lead vocals ("we dance in the palm of her hand" - Domination - The Queen)
Thank you!

Awesome! Thanks for the lore!
I was at the Slipknot 25th Anniversary show with Babymetal in Mexico City last weekend. Something I'll remember forever

The maid outfits were the idea of Miku Kobato (rhythm guitar/lyricist/band founder). She wanted to create what she called a gap (the difference between how they look and how they sound).
Now, they call the maid outfits as their battle amour.

In other words, they’re destined for mega-stardom.
Each member's personalities are super interesting and their musicianship among the best. Their writing, arrangements and overall sound, especially guitar tones and drums, are kick-ass! Having seen them LIVE, I can honestly say their performance, sound, stage appearance, and band synergy is off-the-rails spectacular!
Band-Maid is the only band in decades where I love nearly EVERY song they’ve done. I have over 80 favorites! "Thrill" (2014) is a great place to start: th-cam.com/video/Uds7g3M-4lQ/w-d-xo.html Their songs from albums Unleash, Unseen World, Conqueror, World Domination, Just Bring It, Brand New Maid, and New Beginning drive even more - Hate?, Shambles, Influencer, Warning, No God, Different, Black Hole, Rinne, Blooming, Moratorium, Domination, Clang, Dice, Spirit, Don’t You Tell Me, Turn Me On, Fate, Play, You, Hide-And-Seek, Secret My Lips, Puzzle, Choose Me, I Can’t Live Without You, and on and on.
But don’t miss out on their powerful, beautifully written, mid-tempo songs like Daydreaming, The One, Bestie, About Us, Memorable, Anemone, Endless Story, PAGE, At The Drop Of A Hat, Mirage and Smile... or more punky like After Life, Don’t Let Me Down and Screaming… or funky like Bubble… or bluesy like Manners and The Dragon Cries… or poppy like Start Over… or a bit jazzy like Wonderland… or progressive like No God, Giovanni, and Black Hole… or cultural like the Band-Maiko series… or instrumentals like From Now On, Don’t Be Long, Onset, Without Holding Back and Going Nuts… or their many acoustic versions like Catharsis and Sayonakidori... and last but not least, their Anime hits (AniMaid) like Protect You, Sense, Different, Glory and Unleash!!!!! Band-Maid Members:
Saiki Atsumi (Sy-i-Key or Psyche) “StarQueen" - Lead vocals, arrangements and melodies. At 30 and the youngest, “Sensei” (Teacher) as band members call her, has the last word on many musical decisions. High-heels or sneakers, Sai-chan’s smile melts away her sometimes perceived, coldish persona. Saiki’s powerhouse performances, charisma, and voice focus the experience that’s driven her to the top echelon of hard rock frontwomen... or frontmen!
Miku Kobato (Me-Ku) "Small Pigeon" - Rhythm guitar, vocals, lyricist, 33 years old. “Koba”, as Saiki calls her, is the Band founder and a firecracker MC & PR SpokesPigeon, po! Her “Magic Spell Time” charm and energy ignite the room. Kuruppo! No, no, no… KURUPPO!!
Kanami Tono (Ka-Na-Me) “Princess” - Lead guitar, keyboards, 33 years old, is a prolific writer of most Band-Maid material. Kanami (translates “Song Wave”) is a possessed riff-slayer who’s so damn adorable it hurts. The only thing you want from Mincho is more!
Akane Hirose (A-Ka-Nay) "Gorilla" - Drums, 33 years old, band energizer & co-clown with MISA. Achi’s talents include massive consumption of noodles and bananas, of course, (even during performance!) while revolutionizing rock drumming with relentless drive, dynamics and the kick. This “DrumZilla” is the Party!
MISA (Me-Sa) "Barefoot Assassin" - Bass, 32 years old. An alluring free spirit driving her 5-string to rapturous low-ends while pulling off surprising counter leads with Kanami, off-stage MISA is the band’s goofball ballerina. Sometimes seen as the Mysterious One because she lets her instrument do the talking, the Assassin literally kills it… every note... uniting Band-Maid’s world-class rhythm section. A slug of JB, a slight grin, and let the slappin’ begin… MISA! MISA! MISA!
Maidiacs (Maid-e-acts) - Band-Maid’s crazed yet supportive, knowledgeable and loyal Super Fans.

Get the chance to see them live? Just go. No matter what. 🔥
We will have to figure something out!
Thank you for the lore!!!

No war you say? Maybe we should start one... lol jk. Good to know!
@@CyberSkullMedia Thank you so much. I am looking forward to it.👍😄
"band-maid are a genre upon itself". and it's not even a cheeky statement.

Best rock band nowadays... by far.
Now that is a strong statement we might have to debate over... once we further understand this band more!
@@CyberSkullMedia Don't really care to debate the obvious. I've been making music for money since 1966, so...
They were very open to it going in, they just didn't mesh with it, but both are very open to continuing covering them to see what happens!
Try react live they are so good live.
We will!
Not heavy like a lot of other Japanese bands, no screaming, but technically (punk, metal, jazz, rock, and progressive rock), they are way up there. Their concerts are fun and they have a huge world wide fan base.
We will keep digging!
If you knew BM’s history you would hate them too.
@powbobs I do know a LOT about BABYMETAL's history, and nothing there makes me hate them. Not sure where you got that idea.
@
The pee doe connection.
Probably the dumbest reason I have ever heard for hating a musical act.
..they are dominate the world with music...,,n they..very good live...,
We shall soon find out!
It's weird how often American's comment on the maid costumes as degrading, but not that almost all American female artist are semi naked on stage.
Most of the female artists, if not all, that we listen to don't dress semi naked, but again, this is all just our perceptions from our first exposure!
I just subscribed. Thank you for the reaction 🤘
Thank you very much!!!
Best band on the planet 🎎🤘🎎🤘🔥🔥🔥
Hmmm we shall see about that!
@@CyberSkullMedia No, we already see that...don't need any help or affirmation.
Like others already said, check the live version.
We will!
We will take more looks at this group! Can you elaborate on the "pigeonhole?"
@@anthonypowell6234 Gotcha! Thank you!!!
We will!
MISA! MISA!
(except the Manners MV - that was a work of art!!)
More Band Maid Always!! Po!
We will definitely do so!
LOL…. Love your reactions guys. I’m busting a gut when you use the “voice “ effect and can’t stop grinning. Great setup and really dig shaded background. lol.., it’s from their “World Domination “ album.
Thank you!!!
"HATE" OFFICIAL LIVE VIDEO FROM YOKOHAMA ARENA AND YOU CAN WALK AWAY FROM BAND-MAID IF YOU CAN.
BABY METAL IS AN ALL DUDE BAND WITH CHEERLEADERS NO COMPARISON
aight aight
I like cheerleaders...!!!
As a fan of both fans you’re simply a dumbass.
We will!!!
We totally plan to cover live stuff now thank you!
😂😂😂
Did anybody said 'live' ? also ... I'd try 'Hate?' if you ask me. It's newer and they are really like a good wine : they get better every year.. .ALSO : you'll probably enjoy the lyrics more.
We will!
Yes, there MVs are good but they are best live, i would suggest their track HATE? live from Yokohama arena 2023, it was there 10th anniversary tour final concert, it lasted 3 and 1/2 hours and 33 songs, or possibly this same song live, also their CCs are usually spot on, they make sure of it
We plan to cover much more and the live versions!
Definitely need to check out the LIVE version of this song. The video is interesting, but the live version is FIRE.
We fully intend to! Just gotta work it into the schedule!
More BAND-MAID please!
You should start with the live versions whenever possible. Start with Hate? at the Yokohama Arena.
This is all new to us so now we know!
Live! Live! Live! .An obligation.🤘🤘🤘🤘
We will get back to it after December!
I consider Band-Maid to the the queens of 'Rhythm and riff', the Mixed Musical Arts (MMA) champs of the contemporary genres of music Association(they don't play a genre, they use genres of music as a composition and arrangement tool)
As for something not matching ... that is actually the point.
We plan to check out the live and cover them more! Thank you for the lore!
This band fucking rocks! You should have watched the official live video. Check out Hate live! Seen them four times and they are best live. My favorite band in a decade. 🔥 🔥🔥
We didn't know, but now we do and we will cover it in the future!
Being from Iowa, I know all about Maid-Rights. These MAIDS are more than right. They are AWESOME!
You’ll see…
Usually you’ll want to check out their LIVE videos. Those live videos include:
DOMINATION
HATE?
Don’t you tell ME
PLAY
ONSET
REAL EXISTENCE
These sounds also have live versions, but I prefer the music videos to:
MANNERS
FROM NOW ON
The Non-Fiction Days
THRILL
Don’t you tell ME
If the lyrics throw you, go directly to From Now On and ONSET - both instrumentals.
More BAND-MAID please!
Before you lock in your evaluations, check out the LIVE version of DOMINATION. I’ll bet you a Maid-Rite you come away with a much higher opinion of our Maids.
Alright! Thanks for the recommendations!!! Shout out to a fellow Iowan!
Just subscribed! Half because you’re Iowans and half because I can’t wait to see your reactions to DOMINATION (live!) and From Now On (instrumental - music video.)
Band-Maid fans are called Maidiacs.
@@JohnGioffredi-gi7zd Ironically none of us are Iowa or Iowa State fans but the reference is TOTALLY understood!!! Thank you for subscribing!
Thus Miku often ends most of her sentences with "PO!"
"PO!" - Onomatopoeia associated to the sound a pigeon makes in Japan is "Kuruppo" or "Poppo".
We plan to cover them more!
You should really check out their live performances.
We will!
No war - Baby Metal is the gateway to Band Maid and other Japanese rock bands. Personally, my suggestion is to check out a couple more but do the live videos (Domination, Hate?, Puzzle) to get a good taste of what they’re about. Great reaction though 👍🏽
We certainly will! Thank you so much!
Hard disagree.
Babymetal is meh at best.

WOW Thank you for all of that! We will have to write this down lol
@@CyberSkullMedia I second his grenade toss!😂
No love for SCANDAL? LOL
Folks that went to three sellout tours in the US in 2022 and 2023 can't be wrong. Easy- do you want a band that plays their instruments or not?
😂😂😂
Hate? official live video is one of the most brilliant live performances I’ve ever seen, but Freedom live captures the spirit of the band and their relationship to their audience at peak level. Either one would be a great next reaction.
Thundarius, you need to watch the music video of Unleash. Not sure the other guys would get it, but it will rock your anime-fan socks off.
Thank you for the recommendations!
Thank you for the recommendations!
If you're interested, we Maidaics humbly ask for you to give BAND-MAID one more chance by reacting to at least the first one below (I guarantee it's worth your time):
- Hate? (Official live)
- Freedom (2020 live)
- Warning! (MV)
- Shambles (MV)
- Blooming (MV)
- Rinne (MV or 2020 live)
That's the great part about what we do, is when we cover something brand new to us that has a very engaging community, when we are told that something is better in a different version, we will absolutely go and cover that version. We are always down to make more content and get a different side of things. Hell, for Ren we cover multiple versions of his songs in the same video that we post!
The variety of Maid Rock is insane...worth exploring. The Live videos are fire as folk recommend. For a slammin contemporary song and wicked location I recommend the 'Influencer' MV 👌🥳🤘🤘🤘
Moving forward we will cover the live stuff!
All I can say is you should have done the live version....😢😢😢
We did not know! We do now and will cover it in the future!
See my other rant.
thank you for the info!
