I get chills every time I see this performance. I believe Ren and Chinchilla co-wrote this one. I love them together, and I love her solo stuff too - she is FIERCE! She said in an interview once that one of her idols is Aretha Franklin, and I really hear it. She's amazing.

Great reaction! This collaboration always gives me goosebumps. It’s incredible how their voices blend. Comparing Ren’s vocal capabilities to Layne Staley is truly the highest compliment. Layne and Jerry in 'Down in a Hole' or Layne and Mark Lanegan in 'Long Gone Day' (Mad Season) also have this harmonising quality, even though the songs differ greatly in style and intensity compared to 'Chalk Outline'.
Layne and Jerry are legendary together! I was able to see Jerry Live a couple years ago with Greg Puciato (possibly my favorite current vocalist) and the AIC songs really hit all of the emotions for me.

Great reaction! This collaboration always gives me goosebumps. It’s incredible how their voices blend. Comparing Ren’s vocal capabilities to Layne Staley is truly the highest compliment. Layne and Jerry in 'Down in a Hole' or Layne and Mark Lanegan in 'Long Gone Day' (Mad Season) also have this harmonising quality, even though the songs differ greatly in style and intensity compared to 'Chalk Outline'.
Layne and Jerry are legendary together! I was able to see Jerry Live a couple years ago with Greg Puciato (possibly my favorite current vocalist) and the AIC songs really hit all of the emotions for me.
