    Cambridge just has the best in print quality. (RL Allan is great, too) The boldness of their print does the job. Even Concord's 8 point font is greatly readable.

    Large print doesn’t mean...today...what it used to mean. I know, because I have older large print Bibles snd newer ones. Big difference.
    Visually impaired people do not consider 10-11pt fonts to be “large”. However, the boldness of the print is a huge factor in readability.

    I have ordered the large print Westminster. From TBS. 11.8 font plus the layout appeals to me.

    • @BurtonBibles
      @BurtonBibles  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s lovely, although not as nicely produced as the std size which is done by Jongbloed.

    Thanks for the review. I'm trying to find a large print, wide margin(4 sided), reference KJV. Can you recommend?

    • @BurtonBibles
      @BurtonBibles  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The only two I could recommend are the two I’ve had experience of which are the Cambridge concord wide margin or the Oxford (now Allan) Brevier wide margin. Paper print and production are all excellent!

    I HAVE the Cambridge. LARGE PRINT. In about 3 forms. Leather. Hardback. And a blue soft cover. CAMBRIDGE with bold dark print is only one who CAN get away with 10 point FONT. Or even 9 in CONCORD or even 8 in CAMEO. I guess they were appealing to older people in late 1500s when they printed Geneva ? Bible.

  • @gleasonparker1684
    @gleasonparker1684 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    CAMBRIDGE 10 POINT FONT reads like 12 or more based on bold and dark FONT.

    I think one should have a good reference bible for study and a reading bible like the Cambridge.

    • @BurtonBibles
      @BurtonBibles  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, I think that makes sense. If I had to have just one it would be the cameo tho, which ticks most of not all boxes! 😀

    I love the turquoise! wish it would do non-self-pronouncing like the westminster - would be perfection!

    Nice seeing Bibles that are printed really for reading. I mean, with a some budget Bibles today, you won't last long reading due to the awful font used.

      Very true! It’s nice to see a Bible designed with readability in view! God bless

    Hi I'm looking for a calfskin leather bible. Large font. text only. KJV. Any ideas please. My budget is around £75. Thanks..

    • @BurtonBibles
      @BurtonBibles  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well it depends what you mean by large but I would strongly recommend either the Cambridge LP Text Bible which is around your budget. This is a Moroccan leather which won’t be calfskin but still genuine leather. Or consider the TBS Windsor which is a bit less and isn’t as big a print but is still very nice to read. God bless!

    Hi there! Thanks for the video! Do you happen to know if anyone has reviewed the cameo vs turquoise? I can’t find one anywhere on my own. Wish there was a store to view in person. Thanks in advance.🙂

      Hi I usually have both on my shelf here for customers to view by appointment, however I sold my turquoise to a desperate customer a while ago and have yet to replace it. I’ll probably pick one up and do a comparison for you soon. God bless!

      @@BurtonBibles Thanks. Is it also good to compare Cambridge Large Print, TBS Family Bible, and CBP 180? I find these three bibles very similar and good if there is a video to compare them. Would you like to consider to make a video to compare these three bibles, too?

    I'm trying to decide on a nice large print reference Bible. I'm wondering if there's any difference in the quality of the paper and print and ghosting in the West minster reference Bible calf skin leather in comparison to the hardcover version. I'm trying to decide if I want to get this Bible as my main study bible, and if I should save some money and just get the hardcover version or whether it's worth getting the Calfskin Leather.

    • @BurtonBibles
      @BurtonBibles  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      If it’s the standard Westminster you’re after I would say get the calfskin. I am not sure if the hard cover editions are also printed and bound by Jongbloed, whereas the leather ones are. Thanks

    • @BurtonBibles
      @BurtonBibles  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Having realised that you’re referring to the LP edition, I would say save the money and get hardback. I don’t think there are any differences between the leather and hardback in this edition.

    • @jeffcummings9687
      @jeffcummings9687 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Trying to watch the video you made on the Westminster reference Bible large print hard cover, and compare it to the video you made on the large print Westminster reference Bible with calf skin leather, it's hard to see if there's a difference. It almost looks as though the standard size, is more easily readable, or has better readability, due to the better paper than the large print which is made in Belarus. I have a tough decision indeed.

    • @BurtonBibles
      @BurtonBibles  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I personally think the larger print will always win over the standard if it’s ease of reading you’re after. However if you can read the std edition ok, it is the nicer Bible. 👍

    Brother: it was a good review ⭐⭐⭐⭐ and I love the King James Bible. I tried my best to enjoy genuine cowhide leather it's too floppy, I try my best to enjoy it but I couldn't instead I myself started to order hard- back, Smyth sewn, large print or giant print Bibles it's much easier for me to write my notepad on top of it. It's
    A-okay with me nothing less than that, thank you brother. (KJV) I love CBP or LCBP, TBS hardback Bibles.

      Yes, exactly the same feeling here! Goat’s skin looks premium, it feels awesome, but when it comes to practicality I too prefer something stiffer except it lays flat on a desk, which I don’t have anymore.
