- The blind men and the elephant is a poor illustration for describing the reality of God. Relativism and postmodern thinking are an invalid worldview.
Evidence Unseen is a Christian apologetics ministry that contains hundreds of free articles and lectures on apologetics, theology, biblical exposition, and Bible difficulties. Visit our website at www.evidenceunseen.com
It also shows that the professor had put Himself in an omniscient position above all others.
True! However, my professor was a lady--not a man :)
Thank you for this new video and for your whole ministry. Greetings in Christ from Poland :)
It's encouraging to hear from you!
Leslie Newbigen has an interesting take on the story of the elephant:
The story depends on the presence of an unblinded narrator. Without an unblinded narrator, the story wouldn't even exist. The moral relativist , out of pride, assumes the role of the unblinded narrator. He believes he has a complete and total take on reality, whereas everyone else's is partial.
In other words, the moral relativist is the biggest and baddest absolutist
Good point, and so true. I've never read Lesslie Newbigin's work, but I've heard Tim Keller cite him on a number of occasions.
@@evidenceunseen1537 "The gospel in a pluralist society" is an absolute gem. I highly recommend it
