I came here to comment that I hope the rescuers took a little more time than the video shows to explain to the man who called that they were going to make sure the dog got healthy and adopted etc. It sounded like a person who wasn't familiar with animal rescue and maybe like they thought the rescuers were taking the dog to the pound or something? Either way it was a very kind thing to do, and not everyone would have made that phone call so I really do hope they reassured the poor guy that the dog was going to get the best care. Kinda leaves a bad taste in my mouth if they didn't tbh.
It's loving, caring, and true animal lovers like them that make a difference in this world. It's truly inspiring to see smart people with plenty of insight that are the ❤️,body, and soul of the welfare of animals in need. Especially neglected and abandoned ones. Thanks for all that you do. If I could afford to donate to those animal shelter facilities that need it,I'd do it. Happy holidays.
I adopted a doberman from an ex coworker. When I went to pick him up, he was nothing but skin and bones. I was shocked. Smoky was loved and well taken care of for the rest of his life ❤
I didn’t adopt that Doberman I adopted another in just about the same condition. He lived until he was 18 years old with me happy and healthy. I never understood why the prior owner didn’t take care of him because he was a sweetheart from the start to the end never destroyed anything or had any issues with house training.
There’s a special place in hell for people who treat animals like this 😡 On another note, my heart melted when the people who called in made sure he wasn’t going to be put down ❤
You could see he was eager for an excuse to adopt him, and was super vigilant to ensure he wasn’t going to get abused again (for the final time 😢) Really good guy.
He was in REALLY BAD CONDITION, but because of people with HUGE HEARTS and compassion he looks great now. Bless all people involved in saving this precious sweetheart. 🙏 😇🥰
I'm not ashamed to admit, I'm a 60 year old grownass man, and this story wrecked me! How can people be so neglectful? I'm happy he got the help he needed (and his name...Albus...perfect!) But how many do not get the help? Just broke my heart. I hope they foster fail and shower this dear boy with hugs and stuffies and pup-cups for the rest of his days!
I am the same as you (60+ and as you put it- grownass man). This pulled at my heartstrings. I love all animals no matter the species, but Dobermann's are my favorite (have been a proud owner of several since 1987) and the sight of this poor boy just tugged at my heart. It is just plain awful, and I just do not understand, how some people can be so cruel, heartless, and selfish. Thankfully, due to this beautiful man and the efforts of the wonderful people at the animal rescue, Albus will finally know the feelings of love and companionship
Even with him being underweight, he still trying to get in the back of the truck. He’s such a sweet, precious dog and such a sweet soul. I don’t know how anybody could let him get in that kind of shape.
A lot of people buy this magnificent breed not realizing how much time and effort is evolved in training, maintaining and stimulating this breed. They see ones on TV or in Movies that have been trained and think all dobermans are just born that way. It takes several hours every day for a year. They are super intelligent, athletic, loyal velcro dogs. If you can't give these dogs several hours per day of bonding and working with them, DON'T BUY ONE!
First of all, Shove the attitude! You know nothing, know it all. The reason I pointed this out is because jackasses Buy dobermans and don't realize that dobermans are not like 90% of dopey ass dog breeds! Apparently, you don't know this either! After these dopes buy a doberman and realize what they have to do to train a Doberman that they have seen on TV or read about, they neglect and abuse the poor dog! Its why there are dedicated Doberman rescue groups all over the country because of people like you that haven't a clue what owning a Doberman entails. No get lost you arrogant .... @@David-Once
I couldn't agree more. I just lost my beautiful, big boy after 8 years of being conjoined twins. I miss him so much, but this breed is high maintenance and requires lots of exercise and stimulation, not for the faint-hearted!
That's what I always says people are buying certain breeds because it is the fashion of the moment but do not have a clue of the investment in every sense of the word they need Some months later the pups are at best at a shelter or abandonned in the wild People are too superficial and too inconsistent We should have a harder legislation with clearly stated the duties of the adoptant a bit like the adoption of a child
When I was 14 my parents let me keep a border collie mix and I/we nursed her back to health over 3 months and she never left my side, never needed a leash, and she was super protective. I still tear up when I think about her.
Thank you to everyone who helped this wonderful little soul back to health. You are all angels. May you all be blessed with much continued success in the future to help even more animals in need 😊❤😊❤😊
As soon as I saw he was found in St. Louis, I knew who would be rescuing him and that he would be in the best hands! I’m so happy he’s safe and healthy now!
This breaks my heart!! 💔 He did not get this way overnight!! 😡 We adopted a Dobbie from our local shelter!! He was just a gentle giant and only 2 years old!! 💖 He loved riding in the car and would sit like a person looking out the window!! It was so cute to watch him play with our other dog a miniature poodle!! He wanted to be a lap dog and loved cornbread!! He crossed the Rainbow Bridge at the age of 13!!😢🌈 We still miss him!! 🐕💔 So seeing this baby in this shape is just unbelievable!! Thank you for calling Stray Rescue they are wonderful people!! 🙏💕 Look at the beautiful transformation!! I pray the rest of his life is filled with love and happiness!!! 🙏🐕💕

That poor boy…so glad that guy called them and I pray he was a foster fail…❤❤❤…he was so loving and sweet! I had a Red Doberman many years ago and I still think about him to this day! I have not had a dog since!
To the kind person that called to save this sweet pup - thank you. Thank you for also making sure that that poor baby wasn’t going to be killed. You have a good heart, and people like you, make the world better.
Dobermans are inteligent, loving and gentle dos. They're relatives to the Rottweiler and Manchester terrier. I've had them for over 35 years. I would keep this majestic dog. I could not trust him with just anyone. Love this beauty for me. You are entrusted with the sacred.
God bless the people who took care of this sweet Dobie. He looked so thin and sad. Yet he was loving to everyone. I’m thrilled that he gained his health and looks great. Wherever he goes to his forever home, I hope he is loved and appreciated.🐶❤️🐶😊👍

What a Beautiful dog! My grandfather trainer Dobermans and German Shepherd's for the war effort in England. When they moved to California in 1921 with my uncle, 10 years old and my Father, 8 years old. As long as i can remember back, we ALWAYS had a Doberman out at the ranch and homes thereafter. Our first doberman (lived 12 Years) raised three of us boys and our parents never worried about us out on a ranch far from town!!., one summer, we went down to the creek to swim and we were told to put the dog in our bedroom. About half way there, here came the doberman! We took her home to scold our mom for letting her out, she told us to come into the bedroom where we discovered the dog had dove through the glass window to be with us!!! Great animals!!
I hate human demons who do this & let the abuse get to this point , abuse in anyway period . Thank the ppl who dedicate their lives & time in helping , caring for these innocent fur babies, it’s heartbreaking. These ppl are Angels ❤🙏
Omg he looked like he was about to pass away. Leaky nose and heart worms oh boy. So sad. All my rescues that I took home were very thin but not like this poor guy. The best part is feeding them good food and providing numerous treats. They gain weight quickly and you just fall in love with them. I still cook my dog’s their food every night. Bless you for taking this dog in and hopefully he’ll be a foster fail! He’s so handsome! ❤🐕❤
I truly hope he is her "foster fail." I understand the idea of fostering, you don't want to keep your fosters to make room for another. But this dog, he just seems to have gone through so much already. And, the lady fostering him seems absolutely incredible, I hope she can be his forever home.
How a person could treat an animal this way is absolutely disgusting. If they treat this dog this badly, I can only imagine how they treat their family. I dread the thought of this person having a child to care for. This beautiful Dobie has been through so much. He kniws he is safe now, but you can see he has a ways to go yet. You can see it in his eyes. He needs someone who will love on him all the rest of his days. I hope his foster family does decide to keep him. He is learning to trust and to love again with these people. Let's hope he stays, and then he can help other rescues with his calm presence.
The Good Lord has a special place for people who help the helpless 2 legged or 4. I tried to foster a rescue puppy but didn't have the money I needed to take care of all her needs my roomie named her Tator Tot lol she was 2 and half pounds when I found a rescue that would take her l. She went to 4.5 lbs and now she is 10 lbs and beautiful May the Lord bless all that helped this poor dobbie 😢❤

When I saw him carrying the Unicorn I though hell- he has ab Unicorns chance in Hell of surviving that terrible condition but Kudos to the Foster- he made an amazing recovery.
I HOPE he's a foster fail because we can see he immediately took to her and she fed him so much love. I cannot imagine how anyone could dump a dog or any pet and no care what happens to them. I look at my two 'babies' both overly plump, one old now and just the thought of them out on the streets, cold, hungry ... feeling so unloved breaks my heart. I hope this poor dog never ever has to have those feelings again, never knows hunger or pain.
About 30 years ago, my girlfriend and I owned 2 rednose pits. Beautiful dogs. We had a favourite pet shop that we used to visit. Every weekend, we'd visit the Doberman pup. Temba became part of our family for 15 years. He was a magnificent dog and a great mate. I miss him.
I absolutely love The Dodo channel. I almost didn’t make it through this video. Even though I figured it was going to have a happy ending, just seeing how neglected and malnourished this pup was, had me in tears! And I’m at work! It absolutely breaks my heart to see any animal treated this way, especially dogs. Thank God to the people who rescue and foster. Thank you all.🤗🧡🦋
I personally rescued a doberman as skinny as this one. He wasn't dumped, but neglected. The owner left him with his employees who had got no instructions on how to care for him... They ended up putting up a sign saying free dog because they knew they were going to kill that dog if they kept him. The employees were scared of him so they never walked him, only gave him scraps for meals... I found him in the back of the shop filled with glass and his own waste because they didn't let him out to use the bathroom. I cried when I saw him, and took him immediately that night. He lived with my family for years. He was so so sweet and I cannot understand why they were afraid of him. He never growled at anyone
I think this dog had a previous owner. You see how sweet he was and how eager he was ready to be taken in. Also shout-out to the person that found him. He seemed really concerned about the dog.
Thank you so much to all of the people who helped this very special fellow get off the streets and into a warm and caring foster home. This would be an epic foster fail, their bond is strong and he’s just living his dream! It brought tears to my eyes when he snuggled up to the rescuer wanting love and affection more than just about anything else. Great work all around!👏🐾🐾
He just wants to be loved. That is the sweetest thing and I don't know why it surprises me so much? Maybe because humans deprived him of so much. and there he is just being so loving. Boy, he really looks so healthy now! He really responded so well to those meds. I hope he is forever happy with his foster.💜🐕
Kudos to the guy who found him asking to make sure the poor pup wouldn’t just be put down. Guy made the right call and was truly worried for the dog.
Yeah, I hope they kept him updated as to the great outcome of this pup
Hope he sees this video!

His littlr tail nub and whole body wagging even after all of the neglect and horrible condition that's he's in was too much 😢

So horrible how people neglect animals.

Yes, they are evil!

Sweet doggy! 🐶 Sweet boy! 💖 So many thanks to the kind man calling you ladies and huge thanks 🙏 to you all for saving and caring for him! 🙏💜💙🩵
Look how handsome he is now.
Esse cachorro mesmo nessa condição deplorável não perdeu sua mansidão. 😢😢😢
I think this is will be a foster fail , know it would be for me😉, wishing this boy the best life !
This breaks my heart. Poor baby. Who tf can neglect an animal like this? My God.
👏👍👏 is a true story of tbe doberman dog so wonderfull
Thank you all.🤗🧡🦋
Sad moment when he was too weakened to jump into the car. He is beautiful now. Blessings to all of you who helped this sweet boy.
Thank you so much for helping this innocent, beautiful soul✨️🥹🫶🏼🥰
I’ve never seen a dog this skinny ever. I’m a Doberman lover, and it killed me when I saw him. 😢😢 I was so happy to see him healthy and loved.
My gosh. He's SO sweet and gentle! So glad he was rescued and the foster did such a great job bringing him back to health! ❤
What a sweet little boy ♡ bless him and you for saving his life ♡
I think this dog had a previous owner.
Obrigado pelo cuidado e amor que foi dado a este animalzinho belíssimo.
Thank you, thank you, thank you. He looks amazing now.❤❤
