Don’t think her form was off but a case of misjudgment. She is talented and will bounce back from this.
The only misjudging she did was to misjudge the competition. She may have felt that it was going to be a walk in the park, and hot a rude awakening. However, she's very young and talented, and will bounce back.

Terrelonge right not too answer the reporters...cant they see she is disappointed and hurt?
Watching this championship, almost all of the athletes seem out of form, especially those who haven't competed in weeks. Most of them are performing way below their bests, been a bit disappointing.
If she was out of shape.... why did they take her? Ever since last year.....she's given me "Spoiled brat" vibes. Her reactions after races when she doesn't perform as expected even in a win (at champs) give bad vibes for real. The look on her face in the starting lineup at this championship was one of confidence and she came out the blocks as if she thought she would just "jog" and win. Then with this interview...... she's acting like a 6 year old.
I think this is a very unfair criticism. She misjudged the race. That much was clear to me. She did this at Trials as well. Remember Sherika did a similar thing in Tokyo. So I don't understand why we are coming down so hard on these young people. Plus, they are not very trained in how to handle media. No where in the high school curriculum provides this training. So having to contend with mics being shoved into your face when you are upset, tired, hurt, etc. can be a little overwhelming. Plus, she is 16 years old for crying out loud. I can't remember being very composed at that age, especially if I had to interact with the public in this way (and this is not to make this about me!). I am simply saying, stop saying these bad things about peoples' children. Many of them are trying their best. If we have nothing useful to say, we can keep silent!
I concur! She was displaying the kind of attitude a spoiled juvenile would. Her body language was not expressing the maturity we'd expect from an experienced athlete. Hence it's difficult to diagnose what's really happening with her.
Whatever is going on with this youngster needs to addressed and or
mitigated.

@@MachelN25 I've seen her display similar behavior in a few other races over the past 2 years. I'm not criticizing her based on this performance only. I watched her throw up her hands in disgust after winning a race all because she didn't run the time that was being predicted. I've seen her pout after being beaten as well. She's immature and showing it again with this display of not answering questions after what appears as if she "assumed" that the heats was going to be a piece of cake. I say that because when the athletes were being interviewed she had a very relaxed nonchalant look on her face (I thought). When she left the blocks she didn't look as if she was putting too much effort.
I think the Junior athletes are tired it has been a long season for them I also heard where the USA had not intended to send a team it’s just that this championship is held too late in the season but they did send a team. My opinion these kids are tired and needed a break school begins soon and they will be back to training how much rest did they get. They have to protect these youngsters a little more she should not have had a mike shoved in her face without an adult to help.
We didn't send a team because there's no need to. We the top dogs. The rest fight over the scraps. We are getting ready for LA 2028. A running train builds momentum
@@sionrouge1697guess you didn’t read my post very well because there is an American team at World Juniors. They contemplated not sending a team but because the next championship is at Eugene Oregon they decided to send a team

She's a seasoned junior athlete, one who's been to many international competitions! Let's not start contributing to delinquent behaviors or condoning temperamental tantrums!
Personally, I like this young lady and I know she's a great athlete, that's why many(me including)gave her the nod as the favorite to take home the title.
She's at the world juniors, representing our nation so she best be ready for the media and the lofty expectations that comes with this great honor and responsibility!

I'm having a bit of concern for theianna lee base on the fact that she's not mentally prepared for a big race.its as if she have to make a mistake first for her to learn like she's living her career in regrets
The child is hurting, and you continue to ask her questions? She wants to go to her room and rant and scream and maybe cry. Let her go. She'll be alright, and she'll be back.

I’m sure that she is disappointed, and I’m disappointed for her, as well…but what happened to her? She’s still young, and hopefully she’ll learn from this experience 🤷🏾♂️
Can't be a misjudged she was never in the lead or tried to get in position. Bigger stage and she wasn't ready for it as yet. Wil learn from this and have to move forward this race is already gone nothing you can do about it anymore.
