- Once again, here we go with godzilla and kong fans arguing like it's the norm. Well, I'm here to discuss and potentially answer if kong could have killed godzilla if he didn't stop attacking him.

Godzilla receiving a barrage of punches with no visible damamge like lost teeth shows alot considering only one of these punches knocked out Skar King's tooth.
Kong punched Skar King with his left arm, which is the one that didn't have the gauntlet on. Godzilla tanked both his left and right arms and only became knocked out for a few seconds.

I swear to god, I’m going to start a whole war into this comment section, but I’m not trying to fanboy over Godzilla here. But there’s literally no possible way that Kong could’ve “killed” Godzilla with just his barrage of punches in Egypt. Which is confirmed by Adam Wingard, the producers, the writers, and the novelization that states Kong was NOT holding back when he was pummeling Godzilla with rights and lefts. For the people who disagrees, Adam Wingard says this: “Kong really isn’t trying to win if you really look at here, it’s interesting because right now he’s just trying to…you know trying to communicate something that Godzilla…you know even now he’s still on defensive because he’s not trying to fight back ‘ya know but at a certain point he’s just like…nah.” “Well this is his revenge for GvK (Adam Wingard here is implying about Godzilla and Kong’s fight in Hong Kong round 3 where we see Godzilla go into a berserker rage mode on Kong. That’d mean this is what we see Kong in his berserker rage when pummeling Godzilla) ‘ya know he’s trying to get Godzilla to just do something but right here he kinda lost his temper and so, you know he kinda got a little carried away.”
The novelization also states after the final blow from Kong’s beast glove Godzilla was dazed for a solid few seconds, which again the novelization states Kong was tired when trying to drag Godzilla into the hollow earth portal by the tail with his beast glove hand and his bare hand. Which is kinda obvious to note since Adam Wingard did state that this version of Kong is similar to us human beings. So even if Kong did keep punching Godzilla he would eventually tire out, and Godzilla would’ve most likely be knocked out unconscious, and not dazed. With including a few bruises and a black eye, and possibly a few broken tooth and a nosebleed.
What I barely see around the fandom of the Kong fans arguments is that they forget to mention that Kong’s beast glove as if it isn’t made out of the material of Mechagodzilla. Which it is, with only minor augmentations as confirmed in the movie by Dr. Ilene Andrews. We’ve already seen Godzilla’s encounter against Mechagodzilla, Mechagodzilla ragdolled a tired Godzilla after his fight against Kong in Hong Kong. Their fight should’ve lasted minutes, if not HOURS. Kong’s barrage of punches from his beast glove only lasted just a few seconds. Again, realize that this is Kong’s beast glove, which is made out of the parts of Mechagodzilla’s remains in Hong Kong, WITH minor augmentations. Just so you know, in the Godzilla Evolved documentary by Adam Wingard and the producers (source: got it from prime video lol), it’s been stated that thanks to Godzilla’s evolution his skin is stated to have gotten harder, meaning that his durability has increased alongside with his speed, agility, faster combat, stronger strength, and most importantly stronger power (that being his atomic breath and most abilities). Which would mean DougheGoji in his fight against Godzilla, only received just a few bruises, and a black eye. Kong only targeted Godzilla’s face, most likely because Godzilla’s head is *one* of the most vulnerable parts of his entire body, his most vulnerable part of his entire body being none other than the dorsal plates. All he received was just one broken tooth, and only dazed out from the barrage of Kong’s punches from his beast glove. No serious injuries, no black eye, no nosebleeds, no broken skull, no scratches, no scaring, nothing. Other than just one broken tooth as we see one of his tooth’s fall out of his mouth with the uppercut from Kong’s beast glove.

What makes yall think Kong wouldve killed Godzilla with those punches? Do yall not realize how insanely durable Godzilla is? Godzilla in 2014 was getting stabbed to death by the Mutos and still got back up and killed them. Granted he was saved by the bomb going off but he still got back up
In KOTM after going a whole round against King Ghidorah and being hit by his AOE and then dropped from the atmosphere he wasnt dead. And yet he still got back up
In GVK after going 3 rounds against Kong and using half his energy to blast a whole through the earth to run the hands against Kong, then proceeding to kill Kong in that fight, yes Godzilla did kill Kong in that fight. The humans had to jumpstart his heart.
Then without rest he went to go fight Mecha Godzilla and procceded to wash Godzilla and beating tf out of him and woulve died if it wasnt for Kong and STILL he got back up to save Kong when MechaG nearly gives Kong the dead space 2 treatment. And after the fight Kong was tired and even after that Godzilla STILL got back up to fight Kong who could barely even get back up. What makes yall think Kong couldve killed Godzilla in the Egypt fight with those few punches? Those punches that left no damage to his head
What makes us think that? I dunno, maybe because he almost knocked him out, so common sense suggests a few more would've done the job. If you can knock him out, you can kill him. Simple.

One funny thing i just noticed between their Hong Kong And Egypt Fight is that In Hong Kong,
Godzilla was spamming his atomic breath and wasnt fighting smart and lost that round because of it, but then he decides to switch his combat mode to physical instead of power and wins it easily.
But in Egypt he goes physical mode because he's bloodlusted or confident he can do the same thing to Kong again but gets dazed because of that, but then again he decides to fight smart and switch his combat mode to power + physical and wins the battle.

The thing is tho his attack style in gvk wasnt really the same as in gxk when he went physical. In gvk he was biting, clawing, absolutely tearing into kong, THATS what a bloodlusted and pissed off godzilla fights like. In egypt godzilla was just tackling kong and even did a suplex before just trying to stomp him head. He had NUMEROUS chances even in such a short fight to fold kong if he was trying his best but He underestimated kong, probably seeing he had no axe and got cocky

Although I do love Kong just as much as I love Godzilla, I don't think Kong was holding back. Adam freaking Wingard even said that Kong wasn't holding back and was TRYING to hurt Godzilla at that given moment when he was punching him. He WANTED to knock Godzilla out, cause that was the only way he could get him to hollow earth. And even then, Godzilla was only stunned, not remotely knocked out.

in the novel it said kong was planning on using the beast glove to block the beam which idrk would've been effective but atleast it would've been able to keep him alive longer or smth. since that was the same glove that could block shimo's beam for like a min or so without any damage which is mad impressive.

@@gauthamkrishna7734 shimo is way more durable then the both of them, and im saying that kongs glove was able to withstand the breath for up to a minute quite well and kong was able to shake off the ice. godzilla is much less suceptiable to cold and hot temperatures then kong cause of his anatomy and the way he is. plus if shimo kept on using her frost breath on godzilla she could've completely froze him until he couldn't get out. mothra stunned her so she couldn't do that which allowed godzilla to heat up his body and break out. if it were for mothra shimo could've lowered godzillas body temperature so low where he wouldn't be able to break out at all.
Edit: forgot to say, but it is confirmed and said in the novel that kong was able to push through shimo's ice breath shoving the glove into her mouth and using the other hand to box the hell out of shimo which actually hurt her quite a bit as it said that shimo was dazed and was shaking off after the punches which made godzilla literally smile looking at kong do decent against shimo on his own. you can watch wade willy for this btw he shows pictures and proof of this in his channel. (btw this wasn't added into the movie idk why)

His Beast Glove is a good weapon, but he got Goji in the Kratos combo and he didtn even knock out a single tooth. He cant even try to run and hide as Godzilla could destroy the pyramids and leave Kong defenseless. Imo, no, objectively Kong would only really MAYBE knock Godzilla out. Not saying he wouldn't hurt Godzilla a little, but he would not kill him.

If you have enough power to daze someone to that extent, you can kill him too given enough punches. Godzilla is definitely stronger than Kong, but Kong does have what it takes to kill him and win some fights. It's not even debatable, the movie clearly showed us what the glove can do. One punch sent Godzilla's ass on the ground, 10 punches put him out of comission for a few seconds, you get the idea.
And even his speed isn’t that much of an advantage anymore because Godzilla has become faster and more agile, to the point where Kong cannot outmaneuver him as easily

The truth is, Kong would not have been able to kill Godzilla, even if he tried his hardest which he did in that fight in Egypt. Godzilla was dazed, not unconscious in that fight. Also, Godzilla was not even remotely hurt in that fight, it was confirmed by the director that Godzilla had become way more durable in his evolution. It is shown clearly as Godzilla almost immediately recovered from Kong's punches while Kong was exhausted and was clearly outmatched the rest of the fight.

Nothing suggested Kong was exhausted after punching Godzilla in the slightest, you just made it up as a straw man argument. It doesn’t even make sense for him to be tired, as he fought Godzilla before in Hong Kong for hours, nobody gets exhausted after 10 punches, what a silly thing to say.
Godzilla was knocked out, the screen turned black, there was a bit of a time skip, we didn’t get to see Kong getting off Godzilla and grab him, instead they cut back to him immediately dragging Godzilla. Even if you argue he wasn’t fully knocked out, he was still completely out of commission for a good few seconds, so he was definitely hurt and at Kong’s mercy. He only recovered because Kong allowed him to recover.
We can all agree that they are both awesome but in the end, Adam Wingard in a behind the scenes video said he made his point over who’s superior out of the 2.
Kong can't simply because he needs something that can pierce Godzilla's hide, which he lacks. He did great, laid it out on Godzilla's face but blunt force damage won't cut it. Now, give him the gauntlet and the AXE...he has a chance. Still in Godzilla's favor, but both of Kong's weapons could possibly help.

For context of what I'm about to say, this quote from the novelisation says Godzilla was in fact knocked, Kong drove his yellow-arm fist straight into Godzilla's mouth. The lizard pitched back into the dirt. Kong expected him to get right back up, but i instead he lay still. Not dead"
Now we have that out of the way, I think Kong could have reached into Godzilla's soft mouth and tried to do some damage there, of course he didn't because he didn't want to kill Godzilla, or he maybe could have tried to rip Godzillas jaw open with brute force, although we don't know if that would work because we haven't seen how Godzilla fairs against pulling forces.

Director can say whatever he wants. I saw Godzilla effing up Kong for a good minute, only lick Kong got in was that punch barrage. After that, Godzilla was literally about to kill Kong. This guy earned a subscriber by just mentioning the pulse which is undoubtedly one of the most over powered moves Godzilla has if not the most over powered move due to the fact Godzilla cannot aim for his life. The pulse despite in my opinion not being as op as thermo it is most definitely a 1 shot hit for a simple reason of Kongs durability being one of the worst compared to other top tier titans. The one problem I have with these movies is that they never ever actually let Godzilla use his pulse like more then once to kill a titan or humans 😭

Goji fans really be forgetting the only reason kong didn’t roll out of the way of godzillas second tackle and stomp is bc of how much sand Kong accidentally kicked up after dodging goji 💀
Let me tell you a few things, 1. When kong was stunned on the floor Godzilla instead of just going crocodile on him (which he had clear time to do cause kong was able to nod his head, open his eyes then roll out of the way) just tried a slow ahh stomp. 2nd this guy already stated an obvious fact that kong is 1 shot when his hit by that pulse which is just obvious cause he has mid durability. You can try and argue but the most your gonna get is Kong not dying but being heavily burnt and screaming for help. The 3rd last thing is that king woulda still been bodied either way judging on the fact Godzilla actually got serious after getting cooked with 11 punches ( that barely did damage ). So it would be literally over for kong like forever

If you actually look close as soon as Godzilla gets knocked down by Kong, he fails to bite through the armor of the gauntlet and fails to charge his Atomic Breath. Indicating that there was no way Godzilla could have gotten out of that situation if Kong continued to pummel him. the problem is that a near full charge axe could barely pierce into godzilla's thigh in gvk, and considering that godzilla's molecular density increased drastically, it would be even harder to pierce him now. I think the axe would struggle to pierce into godzilla's neck tbh, plus like fda said, godzilla was bloodlusted and not thinking properly. Thats why he just charged at kong without using his breath before hand, a non bloodlusted godzilla would just use that before going in close, and he would also not use breath until kong is disarmed as godzilla knows that the axe can absorb his beam so it would really just not work. Godzilla is now close to kong in terms of speed and agility, both stats that kong had to exploit in gvk to fight against godzilla, so now godzilla would win even more easily

Agreed. Godzilla's breath did not affect Skar King and Shimu whatsoever. And Godzilla was REALLY trying to hit Skar with his evolved breath. (Although the breath did somewhat affect Shimu at the start of Rio fight. Maybe that's because belly is Shimu's weak spot.) Skar King just kept jumping. I honestly think it was them saving $$$ on CGI, or the fact that Skar King spent his entire life in the Hollow Earth surrounded by radiation. Since Godzilla has atomic breath, aquatic factor, durability, regeneration to some extend, being alive for millions of years, sharp spikes, claws, and a long tail. Being like 1.5 taller Godzilla, Kong in theory, could have overpowered Godzilla in most physical fights. Plus the idea of Kong having electic powers (like in 1962 version) was also lurking around. The plot of the movie could have been something like this: " Kong grows in a very peculiar way, unlike any other titan, and Godzilla, sees it as a threat to its existence."
I don't get the logic of 2021 movie. Kong pushes out Godzilla from an aircraft carrier with ease, but in their second and third fight, Kong appears to be much, much lighter than Godzilla.

Imma play Devils Advocate:
1. There has been no evidence to suggest that Godzilla got up in mere seconds, while I believe the novel said something along the lines of Godzilla lying still while Kong expected him to get back up. The movie seems like it was trying to hid this fact by having sand cover the screen, then showing Godzilla awake. The problem is that Kong is in a completely different position then just 2 seconds ago. So unless kong has superspeed or something, I strongly believe that the sand covering the screen transitions to Godzilla supposedly waking up after being out for a little, to kong dragging him.
2. You are right. Kong would NOT have been able to kill Godzilla in this fight. However, I do think (based on my last point) Godzilla would have been out for much longer. We also do not know how the electrical punch would have affected Godzilla since he didn't seem to use it.
3. I have no idea if Godzilla is able to use an atomic pulse in his evolved state since his energy seems more contained and I believe he would have used it in the final battle. But if he could, then it would have definitely made the fight much easier for him. The twil argument is the only one that "kinda" sounds like cope. Also, while the sand was the only thing keeping Kong from being crushed, it was also the only reason Godzilla was able to get the jump on Kong. But there was no way Kong was going to get out of under Godzilla's foot. To mention the beast glove blocking Shimo's blast, the glove is proven to be much stronger by how Kong just casually wipes the ice off instead of getting frostbite again. Plus the glove was made for kong after he fought 2 different Godzilla's and 0 Shimos. So it would make a lot more sence for the glove to be at least a little bit resistant to heat like it was for any freezing properties like healing frostbite.
4. We can't confirm if the axe can take Evolved's AB since we haven't seen it happen yet, but the axe burning is definitely likely. However, kong could block the breath for only a second instead of just standing there. On the other hand, Godzilla not using he Atomic breath only makes Kong's life easier.
So that's just my two sense.

Kong’s beast glove releasing the electrical EMP or not is nothing special, nor does it make the impact of the beast glove “stronger”, because it doesn’t. The film clearly shows that. You can see Kong’s beast glove’s augmentation power up whenever he tightens his fists when pummeling Godzilla into the ground, like how the beast glove tightens alongside with Kong tightening his fists, which the director and the novelization confirm Kong was in-fact NOT holding back his urge to punch Godzilla when he was pummeling him. You can also see a glow coming from Kong’s beast glove whenever the augmentation powers up, that’s NOT holding back neither does the beast glove have a “stronger” impact when it causes the electrical power-blast.

Personally, I do agree that GxK Kong beats 2014 Godzilla. The 2014 atomic breath is much weaker, even without the Mutos' EMP weakening it. GxK Kong has already fought Godzilla in the past, and Godzilla has already fought many great apes, so both have experience with Godzilla taking the slight edge here.
In this fight, Kong is more agile, faster, and has more stamina, plus he'll be armed with the B.E.A.S.T Glove and Battle Axe, both of which are powerful weapons in their own rights. Godzilla takes durability, endurance, experience, and abilities. Strength is debatable, but I'd give it to Godzilla, since he pushed the femuto during their charge.
In my upmost opinion, Kong with B.E.A.S.T Glove and Battle Axe beats 2014 Godzilla with mid-high diff. His Battle axe can absorb Godzilla's atomic breath and his B.E.A.S.T Glove will most likely knock out Godzilla for much longer durations, given that this is a weaker version of Godzilla.
