The scary part about D. Rose, he never had a true prime. This was him at 22yrs old, not 26-33.

You can say that about a lotta players, Grant Hill, Kobe, KD, PG13, heck even Greg Oden lol the thing is taking care of your body and being smart on the floor in order to avoid injuries is part of what makes a goat a GOAT. Was LeBron born the way that he just never gets injured? No, the man puts an unimaginable amount of time into building his body in his early years and spends millions annually on conditioning it after he got in the league. Rose could've stayed healthy but the explosive way he finishes at rim just doesn't promise a long and healthy career, it was only a matter of time. Same thing can be said about current freak of nature- Zion Williamson, mark my words, if he doesn't do something about his body weight or changes his way of game it's only a matter of time his career gets jeopardized by a serious injury.

@@noir4659 Rose was different though. He was the youngest mvp EVER. People underrate that so much. Being the best player in the world at 22 years old is insane. Yea you could say the guys you mentioned could've been goat status but rose was a legitimate reality. After like 4 major knee surgeries and in his 30's this dude dropped 50 still. Just imagine what he could've done in his mid 20's without injuries. And he had a freak injury... don't say that "he didn't take care of his body" cuz thats bs. Rose was a gym rat it was just unfortunate that he became the NBA's biggest "what if" story. His play-style definitely was a factor in his injury but that also just shows how crazy he was on the court. If you combined westbrook and kyrie you get 22 year old rose. Just think about if the guy had a chance to get into his prime without losing the knee...

It amazes me he says he didn’t know the game of basketball here, he was just playing with his athleticism. That’s why I wish college players stayed for 4 years and let their game develop. Can you imagine a controlled assassin??? Dear God what could’ve been....still I’m glad he never gave up and his game is refined now that boy is still a walking bucket
