When I was made homeless by a family member with no place to go, the shelter took our cats. I was and still am 3 years later devastated, even though I didn't want to give them up, I couldn't leave them outside to fend for themselves. So I gave them all the info I had, names, our vet who knows us really well, told them to call for their medical records. I spent 3 days crying and not eating because those were my babies. Knowing I would never see them again, because I was going to a shelter myself, I made sure that whomever adopted them, would have all the info they needed to make sure my babies would have the care they needed. I don't understand just dumping and running.
I had to turn my dogs in once. It was aweful! I was bawling the whole time. I was going into the military and couldn't find anyone to take care of them while I was gone. I'm currently fostering a little dog that was found in Stockton, CA, and I'm baffled by how similar she looks to Leo in this video-they're almost identical! She's 5 years old and also weighed less than 6 lbs when they found her. She was saved by a rescue in Washington from the euthanasia list since her back legs are paralyzed. I'm so grateful for shelters like Animal Friends of the Valley and incredible rescues that save dogs in need, giving them second chances. I hope these dogs find their perfect homes soon; they remind me so much of my sweet foster, who is an absolute angel 💖.
Poor little muffs. Rocky , thank you for giving them some love and attention. I know a perfect forever home will come for both of them. They’re so cute.
Praying together. I raised 4 tiny babies since 3 days old. Kept 2 and my mom took 2. Mine passed away a month apart, one cancer one a broken heart I think. These babies need each other. Praying they let potential adoptees know their need for that. Someone special will adopt them together. 😢

So we've spent well over $1000 it the last few months (including neutering) that we really can't afford. I feel very stuck.
We have gone backwards with pet care...800 for neutering..the animals situation is gone totally backwards...vets should be ashamed of themselves....who can afford such prices not the average not these days
About a month ago we had to put our beloved dog down as she was really suffering and I knew it was probably the end. It cost $1200 to have her seen and euthanized that day. We're low income but I had started saving a small portion of my paycheck every month for emergencies and that day totally drained all my savings and my most recent paycheck. I'm usually "Dr Mom" for little complaints and we buy the best food we can afford to act as preventative care since we can't afford to see a vet regularly. 😢

Hi Rocky! I live in Erie, Pennsylvania which is pretty far from where you are, but I'm VERY interested in adopting these two. I don't care what their ages are, physical condition or level of training is, but I know I could provide a very loving and good home for them. The dogs in our house are all well vetted, deeply loved and treated like royalty. I can provide references from my veterinarian that will validate our claims. There is no doubt in my mind that we could provide a good home and give them the love and care they so deserve. I'm home all day while my husband works and would be able to provide full time care. I know we're not local to you, but I'm willing to do whatever it takes to bring these two here. I can send you video and pictures of our home and property, provide references, do a Facetime... whatever you need. How can we make this happen? I'll take them in ANY condition and make sure they have the best medical care as well.
I'm so happy that you're putting it out there that Animal Friends of the Valleys will help people suffering economic hardship. Maybe, more people will reach out for help rather than surrender their loved companions. 🥰
I've been in the position of having to choose between my kids and pets when trying to rent. This was years ago, and I STILL feel like a bad person for it. I urge feeling compassion for the previous owner. Thank you, Rocky and team, for your work with these animals. ❤
Where ever they came from someone was unwilling or unable to care for them in the most basic ways. The shelter has already helped them with flea treatment. I do hope they are adopted together. Leo seems very attached to Lily. Thank you for showing them. I am sure those cute liitle ones will find a home now!
Leo and Lily are such cute and sweet puppies who deserve to go to a loving home where they will be happy together and not go through any hardships! 🥰 Fingers crossed that they go home. 🤞

So Adorable! These babies would be adopted in a heartbeat here in Florida, so many senior citizens looking for smaller companion dogs. Just like I did. Both of my dogs (little white fluffs with tan accents) are adopted. One Bichon type, the other maybe Jack Russel terrier type but the same size and coloring, look like a team, people ask me if they're littermates!

I think they're better off there, it's obvious that they hadn't been de-flead and were suffering because of it, bless them! As per usual I'd love to adopt them! The little sweethearts.
Beau & Trinket. Names of two little Poodles I grew up with. Really a special part of my childhood. Beau, White, was my Grandma's. Protector, but super sweet fun to play and cuddle. Trinket, Black, so tiny Toy Poodle someone threw out their car window doing 50mph in front of my mom. She had been so abused. My mom rescued her and she used to also join me up in my favorite chair of Grandma's whenever I'd be crying, they'd come cry with me. They also ate the Liver I hated and chucked behind the couch for them 😂❤❤
It’s a sad situation, very heartbreaking. I believe it’s better that they cared enough for the dogs to let them go knowing they couldn’t provide a good healthy environment for them. I hope the family gets through these trying times. I pray these little precious little dogs find a loving home where they’ll have the best lives ever! ❤ 🐾

I know we're not local to you, but I'm willing to do whatever it takes to bring these two here. I can send you video and pictures of our home and property, provide references, do a Facetime... whatever you need. How can we make this happen? I'll take them in ANY condition and make sure they have the best medical care as well.
Call the shelter if you see some you can adopt, I didn't know that Rocky can read every comment
Would love to see Leo & Lilly's makeover. Hugs to them! They're adorable even when a mess.
Inflation is affecting everything, especially the price of pet food. People are struggling. Thank you for your compassion, Rocky. ❤
Where ever they came from someone was unwilling or unable to care for them in the most basic ways. The shelter has already helped them with flea treatment. I do hope they are adopted together. Leo seems very attached to Lily. Thank you for showing them. I am sure those cute liitle ones will find a home now!
They are a bonded pair and need to be together
Good thoughts Leo and Lilly find their loving forever home ASAP. THANK YOU for all you do helping these dogs...
No way that those two angels should be further exposed to the hardships.
Maggie and Duke. They are so adorable. I have two Maltese little girls and they remind me of them.
Thank you for the affirmations to the dogs
Hope they stay together ❤❤
These two are 100% adorable. A brother and a sister! 😍🥰😍🥰😍😖
I love the ‘positive affirmations’ part of your videos…you can see the little ones perk up!!! 🥹❤️🐶🙏
Rocky, always a good day when I see you with the dogs 🐕

Leo and Lily are such cute and sweet puppies who deserve to go to a loving home where they will be happy together and not go through any hardships! 🥰 Fingers crossed that they go home. 🤞

Thanks
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU, YOU ROCK, ROCKY KANAKA!!! I ADMIRE YOUR STRENGTH AND LOVING HEART. GO BLESS YOU FOREVER!!!
Bless you ❤❤❤
They look like dogs owned by a senior who was having trouble caring for themselves. Sometimes they have to surrender their animals before going to a home.
That is so sad and is making me cry...heartbreaking.
I have always said that is so wrong.
Diamonds in the rough! I adopted mine like that 12 years ago. Dirty, matted, reactive. Just needed lots of love. They have been a wonderful part of mine & my husbad's lives. (First p
They are precious & my heart is crying for them😢❤🙏. Bonnie & Clyde
Oh, …I like these names best of all!❤ Good thinking!
Lovely little Leo and Lilly hope they get adopted soon two little cuties.
They are so cute. 😍 I bet after a bath and some time they will look great. I pray they get adopted together. Thank you for helping them.
Starla and Princeton. Those babies are so precious and adorable. God bless you Rocky for all you do!
Sending love to these two ❤❤❤
I think they're better off there, it's obvious that they hadn't been de-flead and were suffering because of it, bless them!
They also ate the Liver I hated and chucked behind the couch for them 😂❤❤
❤
Sparkle and Farkle seem like happy names for those beautiful tiny white pups!
These two are so adorable 😍 I would name them daisy and Bruno
It’s a sad situation, very heartbreaking. I believe it’s better that they cared enough for the dogs to let them go knowing they couldn’t provide a good healthy environment for them. I hope the family gets through these trying times. I pray these little precious little dogs find a loving home where they’ll have the best lives ever! ❤ 🐾
I hope they go together. That's twice the love for who ever takes them. They can't eat that much but they lost there home please don't let them lose each other. God bless the one thst takes them❤❤❤❤❤❤
Can't believe how a dog mom could turn in her babies 😢 Especially when they are seniors and sick. Hope they're adopted together ❤️ It is heartbreaking 😢
every time I watch your videos, I am so thankful that you exist and that you truly help all these dogs! THANK YOU!!!!!!!!
Sally and Rocky. Both act like they have been loved.
Stunning little dogs ❤❤ hi from Ireland 🇮🇪🇮🇪
Poor furbaby's 😢
They haven't had a easy life.
They need so much love.
OMG, what a couple of cuties!
So sad that I missed the live feed. I totally respect and appreciate all that you do Rocky. Thank you.
omg-they look so much like my rescue baby that was rescued from Apple Valley CA a year and half ago. she's ours now! My love to these babies - I wonder if they are maybe my lady's grandpuppies?
