  • Hello there guys today im going to show you how to fit your Number Plate by your self, and this is an easy way of doing it, all you need is a drill and a HSS Drill Bit which cuts through plastic, acrlic ect, and make sure you have your old number plate to hand because you can use that as a template and drill though the existing hole and it will be the perfect match, and you will need to check the you have the right size drill bit, so you can check it by putting it through the old number plate, that way you can keep the same screw and put it stright back in, when you are cutting the holes make sure that you have the old number plate on the top of the new number plate and both upside down so the number and letter of the number plate will be facing down for both the number plate. thank you for watching please like, share & Subscribe to the channel.
Here is the Drill i used to make the hole on the number plate and this comes with all the extra bits:

Nice one! If I may add it's always good practice to use a screwdriver by hand when working on something fragile. Good clear video though and very easy to follow 👍

In case anyone is wondering this is NOT the way to do it... Do it from the front face, with masking tape to stop drill moving and front side cos you want the better side of the hole on the front since your screw contacts that. Later in video you can see he did it that way on his NEW plate....

No thats wrong for a number plate because you risk delayering the backing slightly as the drill goes through and left with creases underneath. Always drill plates from the back to the front.

This applies for almost everything accept licence plates, as the other guy said you can damage the backing material drilling front to back, always go back to front, if youre damaging it you need better drill bits and perhaps pilot holes

Whats the solution if a hole is drilled on the wrong position on the number plate, what i mean is how to cover it making it seem like there was no hole there ever. Please do let me know. Awaiting your reply.

You could have done the demonstration in 30 seconds, rather than all the waffle.
