My bird Lovey(Blue Budgie) loves to take naps in the bathroom on the towel rack. So when he left I thought he was just going to his usual place. About an hour later or maybe a tad longer it felt way too long so I went to go check on him and found him in the kitchen on the floor still warm. He wasn't hard and I swear his eyes looked like they were working but idk if i felt a heartbeat in my panic it didn't feel like it and he wasn't reacting to anything and not breathing. I tried this, checked other stuff said to check his throat, nothing there that I could see. The emergency line my vet connected me too was useless. It took me an hour and a half of rubbing his chest and giving cpr to finally accept it was over. Buried him some place in the woods so I can retrieve him when I get my own land, so I can retrieve him and bury him on my own property. It's close so I can go see him. I've been alone since I was about 16, got Lovey when I was 23, I'm 37 now. I was pretty miserable till he showed up, but I forgot about that till now. I knew he meant the world to me but I didn't realize the scale of that. Right now he'd be playing with my feet or begging me for kisses just like he was this morning. Instead I sit here alone, wondering what is even the point in getting up anymore...he wasn't just some pet. I was happy to get up after sleeping because that was his favorite time of day, he was always so excited to start the day...

Actually my sibling borrowed my parakeet and in afternoon he called me My Budgie was lying down at the bottom of his cage still.... His eyes were closed... I tried to move him but he was still... I asked him what had happened... He told me that he opened my bird and by budgie was flying from one curtain to another and wasn't going inside his cage so, he grabbed him and squeezed him in anger my bird started shouting so, he pressed his beak with his thumb so hard, and than after sometime he noticed that my bird wasn't moving and than he squeezed him more to make sure he was alive but there weren't any movements, I slapped him so hard after hearing that .... I picked him up and ran out to get some water but there weren't any movements... So I.... kept him in his nest and tried to notice him and suddenly he started to flap his wings so fast and I just screamed with joy and then my bird opened his eyes but he wasn't able to stand so I picked him and ran towards his cage so he could try to stand on his perch but he wasn't able to do soo.... And I tried to give him the step - up command in a calm voice he stepped on my finger with his one leg and then with another leg.... And now after 3 hours he is fine eating food And I bought two more budgies Now I have 4 budgies But I have learnt a lesson I, will never trust someone

A stray bird was found by my cats drowning because of heavy rain today when i saw it, i thought it was dead till i saw it gasping for air, i didn't know that it was, so i tried using cpr on it. I called my mom on what to do and i brought it to my room, i gave it pets, i groomed it, i even checked for scars or any other injuries it was fine but, when it started to move it accidentally fell off my hand and hit it's head on the floor. i heard a cracking sound when it landed. After a few minutes it eventually died and i brought it outside, i hate myself for letting it slip out of my hand....
I found 2 baby birds 3 days ago I named them melody and feathers I took care of them I loved them then today suddenly feathers died and his brother melody keep shouting beside me during my live classes so after my test I found one of his legs paralyzed so I did everything he liked like watching bird video online but now he is almost dead If you like anyone in this world then please pray for him I beg you

Can any one help me. My rescued sparrow died in my palms last Wednesday. I tried CPR but that didn't help. His body slowly became tight, legs got stretched. Just in one minute of time. In most of the videos I saw the bird that are gaining consciousness after CPR are previously looking unconscious and lose. So does that mean if the bird becomes tight (like streched legs) it means they are dead completely?

If a cat bit the bird, just a nibble, it will die. I'm sorry to tell you guys this, but once a cat bites a bird the chemicals in a felines tooth/teeth is so venomous to a bird. Even if you try to save them it might not work. It may become alert and seem well but it's trying to do everything in its power to stay alive, the bird will very soon eventually die. In your care or in nature if you let them go. I wish I had a cure for them 😪
I don't know if I can still revive it (I had to bury it when my family urged me to)... It fell into my mother's bedroom after it was blown away by a very close by rocket firework explosion. It didn't look physically hurt or even bleeding, but quite a few feathers had shed where it landed on the floor. And when I was doing a half-assed CPR (without blowing air through its beak due to its small size that fitted into my palm, and I panicked), it did had a spur of last few strong heartbeats and fluttered its eyes, but it went still right after. I kept trying to give compression for about 10 minutes but by then my family urged me to bury it. I did. If I didn't give up trying to compress its chest would it have woken up again?

i got a baby sick sparrow then i revored him but after like 3-4 weeks we went outside but my father was still home. but it somehow went out of the cage and my father could not find him but when we came we found him but he was very very weak. we fed him and he was pretty strong till night and the next day he died
I just came back home and found a piegon with a fractured leg in my balcony i was surprised how did it get here , i gave him water and food and then he started pukeing in water plate non stop i rubbed his back but after few minutes he died in my hands i putted him down and then immediately start searching i found this video i didt had enough courage to pick him up and rub his chest i started crying then i finally started to rub his back only to realise it was too late i could saved him if i had enough courage to do this.... I had a bird yesterday that hit a window. It was still warm when I picked it up. I started chest compressions, but I noticed blood bubbling out of the nose when I started. I did everything I could.

nature is full of wonders, birds are overall fragile and weak creatures, as soon as they get seriously hurt or get ill it will mostly cost them their lives.
They are not weak, they just dont have a second chance with hospitals like humans so they are alone if they get injured...life in the wild is vety tough

nature is full of wonders, birds are overall fragile and weak creatures, as soon as they get seriously hurt or get ill it will mostly cost them their lives.

They are not weak, they just dont have a second chance with hospitals like humans so they are alone if they get injured...life in the wild is vety tough

I found a 7 days old American robin bird on the ground there was no parents for the the bird I took it home it’s been eating everything gone well for 3 days fed it a lot of worm. than suddenly I looked at it found it dead 😭 I tried to give some help nothing worked at all it started to freeze.
