What a lucky birb! Don’t forget that budgies need at least one partner! That’s the reason why he is so fixated on the mirror. They do live in huge flocks in the wild and become extremely lonely when they are kept alone. Otherwise good luck with this little sweet boy ❤️❤️
Birds can be kept alone since it's gonna see it's partner as part of his flock. Aslong theres somebody at home to keep the bird company. The reason it's fixed on the mirror is because it "sees a bird" doesn't mean anything.
@@Prislistrations That's not even remotely true. Educate yourself before you make comments like this. Birds are one of the most social animals on the entire planet and while some birds do fine solo, most parrots do not. In the case of budgies, you should always have two. You also need to remember that birds are extremely hormonal by nature and cannot be fixed, so their social needs are even further elevated.
@@karmalotto8587fr, birds are usually social, I see rooks always together, same with sparrows, but other birds like secretaries are alone usually and cassowaries
@@karmalotto8587 growing up, I had 2 budgies…one was very friendly, easy to train, learned to love & trust people, etc. And the other…he was a complete jerk, lol. I treated him well, spent a lot of time trying to train or “domesticate” him if you will, but he just never showed much fondness for people or even the other bird (a female). It was pretty sad to me because I wanted to give the other bird a partner, but he’d always either ignore her or try to aggressively peck at her (which she obviously hated, she’d always fly off). Do you think it’s possible for some birds to just never get along with others, or something I was doing wrong? Even as an adult now, I think back sometimes & wonder why I couldn’t ever figure him out. 😢
That's an incredibly well trained tame budgie, it definitely had to be hand raised and have had a loving family for at least a while... sadly a lot of people see them as disposable and throw them out when they become inconvenient, it's incredibly lucky it found these people

Kind of similar to how my brother got his bird. She is almost pure yellow. The poor girl was huddling on the porch of our parnet's place in the cold evening. They tried to find if she had a owner but couldn't, so brother ended up adopting her. He name is Banana.

The best choice the Badgie ever made. You and your family deserve it the way you look after it. Happy to see such a nice bond! We have a parrot bird and we're more than happy having her.
Once had a brightly colored non Australian parrot landed on our verandah. We fell in love with each other immediately for the first day he would not leave my shoulder and would nest in my hair. That night he slept in my hair but the next morning he started bighting me. It was actually a relief when our neighbor came to collect him. Living in Australia I adore parrots, so much and your little buggie is such a sweaty.
My budgie came to me in quite a similar way. My mum found him on the roof of her car and I took him. He loved people, mirrors and the shower. He was also a compulsive talker and did voices too. A gruff male voice and a sweet old lady voice. Such a sweetie.
That is really adorable. My two lovebirds started chirping when they heard this cute little parakeet chirping. My birds love to hear other lovebirds on my phone. I am so glad he found such a nice family and is now safe and happy
I really hope you got him a partner or plan on getting one. They really shouldn't be kept alone. Rescues should honestly make sure they don't get adopted by them selfes or that the potential owner already owns one and is looking for an additional bird. But other than that I loved your story and he seems very happy and well socialized!
Sweden enforce this, I agree all should! Both birds should be kept in the same cage/space too, not in separate little cages where they can't have physical contact (I have 2 emotional basketcases that were kept like that, second one was acquired as company for the first, but they weren't put together, so still ended up really messed up emotionally :(( They're gradually getting better now though :)
You have a little boy parakeet. He was very young when he came to your door. Pets always choose the right people for their forever family. Congratulations on being chosen by this special little bird.
That’s not “lucky” that they didn’t find his family. That’s tragic. Someone put their whole heart and soul into that bird and now he’s yours. As a rescuer, you should NEVER stop looking for his family. Don’t get me wrong, thank for for not turning him away and for keeping him safe but ….
They did make efforts to find the bird's owner. Not everyone has ample time and money to "never" stop looking for a bird's owner. It's the owner that should be responsible enough to never stop looking for their bird.
That responsibility doesn't lie on them- they did their part by genuinely looking for the owner. The owner would be the one who would have to actively look for him if they genuinely wanted their bird back.
0:38 "We know there are no tropical birds around here. Only domesticated birds". So, The Dodo you're telling me that you only used that title as clickbait!

Great video, ty. When I was a youngster, a male budgie flew in through the open window of our 3rd floor apartment in Glasgow, Scotland. Clearly domesticated and full of character, he quickly became a greatly loved pet. When he finally passed, our family was devastated. RIP Joey 😢
What a beautiful story!! He knew exactly where he was going to find his perfect home!! 💕
Head bobbing is a good sign of happiness. Thank u so much for caring for this little baby
Both you and the little bird was so lucky he came into your home. You because he basically claimed you as his family and you because such a sweet, adorable baby entered your life and totally loves your family unconditionally. Your family is definitely blessed by his presence and love.
Hello Joyce, how are you doing today?
What a lucky boy, he found a wonderful family. I love Budgies, they are such sweet little bird's. Lots of people here in Australia have them as pets but keep them in little cages. I love seeing them fly around the house like that, he has a wonderful life 😊💕
I love that you don't keep him in a cage, he's free to fly and interact and bond. This is awesome ❤️
I do too but how do you keep the house clean? Wouldn't he poop just anywhere?
@@0thyme he would bird owners just have to clean up after them
I upgraded the cage my 2 lil guys to a larger one that splits open on top for perching and in front. They never wanted to come out. One has passed away recently so I have one lonely guy that I have to force to come out and play in front of a tablet with TH-cam bird videos. And he won't let me hold him either 😢
It might be time to think about getting him a new friend.
he should be supervised when outside of the cage anyway so youd have to keep tabs on the poop and clean it, thankfully for budgies its not hard at all to clean@@0thyme
He's a beautiful Budgie & a proper chap, as we English call them 10/10 vid
He loves each and everyone of you, he looks like he may have trouble deciding who's shoulder to land. He may not care because he knows he has many landing strips. He looks so happy and free. Great job family.
This bird can talk very well. You have to talk with that slowly and repeat the word again and again. It can memorize more than 280 words. A very joyful bird.
God bless our beautiful Australian budgies!! Well done for adopting him! They are clever and loving birds! 🥰
All burbs are beautiful 🥰
Small burb, huge personality.

@@Furby-luv3r Then by this logic I should call certain humans ugly as well. Like you.
All birds are beautiful, no matter whatever you say.
End of discussion.
My family had several of these budgies as I grew up. One in particular loved my dad. He'd spend every waking moment sitting on his glasses nibbling his eyebrow! 😆
He's an aussie Budgerigar. There's thousands of em flying around my town in big flocks. Happy chirpy little guys and always a pleasure to have around :)
Budgies are awesome birds. Big personalities in little bodies! Glad he found a forever home.
One of those extraordinarily rare stories where they both chose each other. Fabulous story and I hope they all enjoy many years together.
Love this story. Such a beautiful lil bird. Thank you for saving him 💚🤗
Now he is death 😢
You were all so smart in letting him walk in. And so kind.
I have 4 budgies, and these little things are the sweetest little animals. It brings me joy to see so many people loving them as much as I do 💕💕💕
I have 6 budgies and love them.🥰🥰🥰
This is exactly the same story as my yellow canary bird, he was the sweetest and I called him my brother, we had him for about 5-6 years until he passed away, we cried a lot and all our relatives and friends were sad too, I still think I will meet him again some day in some form 🙏🏻♥️🐤
What a sweetie pie he is, and so beautiful. Glad he found you and your family. Now he's safe.
I love the way this sweet little bird just came in and checked out the place ☺️ like yep this is good I'll stay. Too cute 🥰.
What a beautifal couler budgies he's so sweet
This little guy reminded me of my budgie that I got in 2008, just before New year's day and whom I spent wonderful 8 years with. He was a great pet and even better friend, who was there for me throughout some of the hardest moments of my life. Six years have passed since his death and I still miss him, but I know that he is still watching me from above.
Sounds like 8 wonderful years, indeed. So sorry for your loss -- but thanks for sharing with us how much joy he brought you/you brought him!
The joyful smiles on all the family's faces is how I want to live my life. Pfizer's good luck is a wondrous gift. Thank you for sharing his story! He is so beautiful!
Hello Sophia, how are you doing today?
Grew up with Budgies my whole life in Canada. It's a Budgie shocked they didn't know .
What a blessing this sweet birdie is 🐦 glad God sent him to his forever home ❤
So cute. It really looks like he was set free by someone bc if he was lost he would have had people looking for him (I know from experience) happy he found a family that will love him ❤
Not true, I lost my bird. Looked exactly like this one, looked for over a year but never had any luck. Very used to human contact as well, but could never learn the call back phrase. If my burd was found by a loving person tho, that's all I care about.
@@invincibleTiger9954 i found a gray-blue budgie in my dads restaurant. He seemed to be hungry so we took him home. And now, he is still scared of everything since im assuming he suffered out there quite a bit
Omg this reminds when my budgie flew away he was also green, he flew away when I was a little kid
Budgies can be the sweetest home bird pet. Glad you got to keep him. 💕
What a beautiful bird!
I'm sad for his previous family, but at the same time so happy for you! It sounds like he couldn't have a better family, or be any happier. I wish you loads of love!
He’s got such a great personality! I’m so glad he ended up with them! 🦜❤️
thankfully you rescued him, he is a beautiful Parakeet they're so smart and endearing, amazing pets!!!
I really hope they get him a budgie bird buddy. These birds need constant love and attention and stimulation. Another bird easily provides this continuous interaction when the humans need to leave the house or busy with work/school.
What an amazing gift Pfizer the bird gave to this human family! May Sam and the rest of her family have many years with Pfizer.
What freaks would name him after a pharmaceutical company?!
Injections for everyone! Forever! Go Pfizer!

Hello Daniela, how are you doing today?
He kisses you like that because that's how grateful he is. He has a home to stay where it' warm and he gets food and water. Whats more important is the love and care he gets from you guys. He is really thankful. Such a cutie. I am glad such ppl exists
Miss my boy blue. He flew out the door. I was so upset. It was like the coldest day in minnesota that year. Like -10. I know he probably dead but oh man do I hope he is alive.
So lucky he found you guys before our weather got cold here in Toronto...
Budgies are such adorable little characters! This little fellow is sure lucky.
He’s a parakeet. They are wonderful companions if they are treated well. They talk. You did all the right things but I feel so sorry for the family who lost him. He’s not a baby. 3 years old, maybe. I’m glad he found a good family.
So fortunate to have found you and your kind family 🙏😇💕 🐦
Love parrots, they thrive here, always saying hi to me when I walk past them heh
this pretty bird lucked out with this loving family.
Aww, that's so awesome for everyone involved!
Budgies are very social birds , even in the wild they can be very friendly, so happy you gave this boy a nice home
That's an incredibly well trained tame budgie, it definitely had to be hand raised and have had a loving family for at least a while... sadly a lot of people see them as disposable and throw them out when they become inconvenient, it's incredibly lucky it found these people
He really doesn’t look disregarded, I’d assume the original owners just lost him unfortunately. They probably just gave up on searching because losing a bird feels like impossible problem to solve.
Как классно, когда птица живёт не в клетке, а имеет возможность свободно летать по дому)
The fact that someone took so well care of the bird and it makes it that mauve sadder the owner couldn’t be found
Kind of similar to how my brother got his bird. She is almost pure yellow. The poor girl was huddling on the porch of our parnet's place in the cold evening. They tried to find if she had a owner but couldn't, so brother ended up adopting her. He name is Banana.
for budgies it is crucial (!) to have bird friends! please ask at your local shelter if there's one you can adopt.
birds are so wonderful... that you're giving 'im/'er their 'forever' place to be, whereever they came from first, is wonderful!
Such sweet people!❤
He is not a tropical bird, he is a native Australian Budgerigar. A desert bird really, great pets that talk like crazy. Glad he is safe, he chose the right home
02:51 yeah
The best choice the Badgie ever made. You and your family deserve it the way you look after it. Happy to see such a nice bond! We have a parrot bird and we're more than happy having her.

A tropical bird ahh bless the budgie.
God sent this family such a beautiful angel that just fit in so well to this family. Wow this made my day.
This bird walked in the house like: “This is my house now and all humans are my servants. I expect my food on time please!” LOL! ❤😂
Hello,how are you doing today?
Absolutely adorable and beautiful 😍 ❤ 💕 💖
Yes
Adorable and smart litlle birdie. Glad he found a good home🥰🐦
My dream is to have a tropical bird show up at my door and door me. I’m happy Pfizer ended up with a great family who loves him!
My budgie came to me in quite a similar way. My mum found him on the roof of her car and I took him. He loved people, mirrors and the shower. He was also a compulsive talker and did voices too. A gruff male voice and a sweet old lady voice. Such a sweetie.
Someone is missing him... He's been well taken care is before.
That is really adorable. My two lovebirds started chirping when they heard this cute little parakeet chirping. My birds love to hear other lovebirds on my phone. I am so glad he found such a nice family and is now safe and happy
If you are going to get a Budgie then simple way to make him/her happy is get another - Social to the core and enjoy company,
yes!!
He has such beautiful markings.
The bird deserves a better name.

I really hope you got him a partner or plan on getting one. They really shouldn't be kept alone. Rescues should honestly make sure they don't get adopted by them selfes or that the potential owner already owns one and is looking for an additional bird. But other than that I loved your story and he seems very happy and well socialized!
I agree!! The little bird needs a partner. It's cruel when they are alone...😢
Hello Joanna, how are you doing today?
Sweden enforce this, I agree all should! Both birds should be kept in the same cage/space too, not in separate little cages where they can't have physical contact (I have 2 emotional basketcases that were kept like that, second one was acquired as company for the first, but they weren't put together, so still ended up really messed up emotionally :(( They're gradually getting better now though :)
He has passed on since this!
They named the little guy Pfizer?! Weird. At least they seem to really love him, so he's safe and happy.
Almost certainly, someone in their family works for and or owns stock in that company.... Always selling 🤨
Maybe the name Monsanto or Bill Gates was already taken in their household 😅
Ai detector is not happy that u crictized birb name
so wholesome!
Couldn’t have possibly given him a worse name 😂
😂My thoughts exactly..lol.
Pfizer of all names, sheesh.
I have a dog name OPEC
0:38 "We know there are no tropical birds around here. Only domesticated birds". So, The Dodo you're telling me that you only used that title as clickbait!
Pfizer is an independent little bird. He decided to choose his own family. He must not have been happy with his previous owners. He chose well because he gets lots of love, affection, friendship and freedom.
I just found out he passed away in April. Check out his Instagram account. It is lovely to see his photos and videos. He was happy. He was loved dearly.
Pfizer probably was very happy with his owners and he just happened to escape. Usually birds are not keen to open up to people that easily if they weren’t treated well.
