It needs to go max speed with motion controller that comes with it . Pay extra to use all features is not good. At least faster no need to try maneuver or mimic what you can do with the fpv controller. In the end sport mode but top speed with motion controller.
I’ll be honest, I thought the quality of this video was truly stunning… well done to whoever makes your videos, DJI. I wasn’t even interested in FPV and now I am all in.
Really, FPV is on another level, someone should have these online for rent, even shared rent, you get to keep the video (post on social etc) and social, that platform makes your vid public with your permission and you earn off of it. but best of all what if someone starts using ai to pick out only the interesting bits out of any footage and creates news out of that.
Let's stay objective. I recommend that we wait for the customer tests and then decide. The manufacturer highlights only the favorable properties. Customer feedback is equally important to us.

I can't believe the future we live in. Drones that follow you around was just an absolute fantasy when I was a kid and now it's just default technology. Kids today are on VR and use drones like it's always been here, what a world.
“Follow you around”…. For 18 minutes😅 I do agree, though. Even VR was a sci-fi fantasy, and it turned out to not only look exactly as imagined, but also function that way too. I hope there’ll be a breakthrough in battery power, though, so drones actually can follow you around, and possibly something more silent than four propellers.
Yeah for a whole 3 minutes we're not progressing we're regressing drones last month could fly damn near 35 minutes with a battery the same size GTFO DJI
I mean it still follows you around, that's still ridiculously cool. In five years it'll be an hour, ten years? Instead of a dash cam you might have a drone 😄
the designer of that flight stick deserves an award, one of the things i always worry about flying around people is how sensitive the sticks can be without diving into the flight control app and tweaking all the acceleration curves this looks like a revolution in User interface design. Kudos dji
The sensitivity of the controls actually has little to do with the gyro controller, and mostly to do with the configuration of the control systems. It's a neat controller for normies, but it doesn't make flying any easier just from the hardware alone.

Hey, I don't want to ruin your enjoyment, but turtle mode has existed for ages on enthusiastic quadcopters and cinemawhoops that are a lot cheaper than this. DJI just knows how to sell.

Except it’s made of plastic unlike the real carbon quads they copied the design from. It will be in 6 pieces after 70% of crashes and have to be sent back to DJI.

Except when they tried to make a drone for fpv racing, which is really easily breakable, extremely hard to repair, and really difficult to get replacement parts.
The controls on this thing and the immersive, yet natural flight controls make it the most compelling drone in my opinion. Instantly making it accessible and professional to all grades of enthusiasts & novice pilots.

Good job. I'm an FPV pilot, and I fly analog drones, which I prefer. As for the Avata, The turtle mode is great, the range is great, the quality of the video is amazing, I love the blade guards and the 18 minute flight time. Very cool!

Only issue is price + fragility + performance of regular fpv drone for 100$, i mean while you learn you gona destroy 10 of these... So imagine of fixing price, now you can buy 10 to 20 regular fpv droens for the same price that is more durable and has same if not better performance, until you destroy all of these you will be able to fly like a pro and wont need to fix or wait until dji ship you new one

@@spolo123 this is completely false. Iflight for example is longer in the FPV market than DJI. The typical ready to fly setup uses also a DJI transmission system. Many of the DJI safety system are not really useable in the typical fpv acro scenario.
Man I would love to have one of these. I have a DJI Air 2s and it’s great, I enjoy flying mines but the immersion you get with an FPV is an experience. I would also like to add the software and hardware DJI makes is what makes this FPV a game changer.

My squirt from Quad Standard Labs, the guys who build cinelifters for hollywood, only flies for 6 minutes and is a lot less refined. Has a really bad camera mounting implementation for example.
@@definingslawek4731 It's not gonna be 18min of acro, thats for sure. DJI batteries usually have a way lower discharge C Rating that you standard LiPos. That being said this thing will have some use cases where it's probably gonna be unbeatable.
given the total max flight time of 18min and the max speed of 54kph ... you are never going to get that far out. reaching max flight time completely at max speed would only get you 8.1km and back, and that is very likely a much too optimistic calculation. drone nonetheless looks really cool.
@@chr1s_69 my bad, the review I read mentioned up to 54 km/h as the max speed. you rightfully point out the fpv controller and manual mode max speed case, which is substantially higher. doesn't change the overall statement. Max air time is 9min there and 9min back, but will be a lot less than that if you are flying at speeds that are between 3 and 4 times as fast as "normal mode."
Been waiting for this release and man it looks fun! After yrs of building/flying fpv I'm kinda tired of soldering, dealing with lipos, and configuring betaflight. I can understand why people just throw money at prebuilt stuff... Too bad they couldn't get it under 250g and the whole kit is just pricey. However the specs and overall value is pretty amazing compared to building and setting up a digital fpv cinewhoop with anywhere near the flight time, range, or ease of use...
@@Phrancis5 I think the specs say that it only has about 15 minutes of flight time. I agree that under 250 grams would avoid the Part 107 license, but don't know if they could get 160 grams out of a battery alone.
So happy DJI are focused on bringing FPV more consumer and Readily available with the UI’s we’re all familiar with. this is definitely a great beginner FPV! Just a shame that it’s more expensive than the FPV already because of all the new tech
How about instead upgrade the software of existing Inspire 2? I've had the thing for years, and because of the difference in automated functions, I prefer the Mavic 3 pro far above the Inspire
New goggles are awesome, seen some reviews of this drone already and looks like a lot of fun. I was planning to buy Mini 3 pro but now have to decide if I should wait for this to be available where I live, and see how much its gonna be.
Looks great overall, but I have a few cinewhoops I've built, and I like being able to stabilize/horizon lock in post with Reelsteady, not be stuck with what's in-camera. I also don't like being stuck in a geofence. But it does have its intriguing points. Will probably check it out anyway.
Yeah the geo fencing is a big issue, but the flight time seems incredible. How did they do it lol. My slammed squirt from Quad Standard Labs only flies like 6 minutes, so if this thing does not get the full 18 but instead lets say 12, it is still a massive improvement in that regard.
DJI is pushing creative and technical boundaries beyond what we could have even dreamt of. Amazing. Now.. take my money again, and again. and again.. :))
I just hope they continue supporting this drone and the DJI FPV Drone for a long time, how can it get any better than this I mean they've accomplished something no one else has a ready to fly out of the box fpv drone both the FPV Drone and Avata
No kidding - I was pleasantly surprised during the video until this tidbit was mentioned. My enjoyment hit a speed bump there - "18 minutes flight time? That's it???" And this flight time is probably done with a light touch on the throttle. Floor it, and you'll be bringing the drone back home in 10 minutes?
This would be awesome if you could use without goggles and a regular controller as well. I love the size of it and the design and size is so good for my needs. Pretty awesome looking drone.

I like what DJI is doing, that's a great package. Totally priced me out though for the full lit but to be honest I'm not a fan of FPV I prefer the more cinematic look of traditional drones like my Mavic 3. I can't justify the cost to get into FPV

Yeah the geo fencing is a big issue, but the flight time seems incredible. How did they do it lol. My slammed squirt from Quad Standard Labs only flies like 6 minutes, so if this thing does not get the full 18 but instead lets say 12, it is still a massive improvement in that regard.
Then there's the price tag. It won't be a cheap as a cinewhoop you've build yourself, or what if?...
This will be the best Christmas gift 😅☕ also a wish that will never come true.

No kidding - I was pleasantly surprised during the video until this tidbit was mentioned. My enjoyment hit a speed bump there - "18 minutes flight time? That's it???" And this flight time is probably done with a light touch on the throttle. Floor it, and you'll be bringing the drone back home in 10 minutes?

I like what DJI is doing, that's a great package. Totally priced me out though for the full lit but to be honest I'm not a fan of FPV I prefer the more cinematic look of traditional drones like my Mavic 3. I can't justify the cost to get into FPV
