    • @EricandSarah
      @EricandSarah  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Amazing! Hope you love it as much as we did :) The only place we felt slightly unsafe was in La Candelaria… it was quite busy and we felt a lot of people watching us. We even had people tell us to be careful with our phones at Plaza Botero. Still worth a visit but I’d be hyper aware with your belongings there. And be aware of your belongings on the metro when it’s crowded (even locals will wear their backpacks on the front).

    Usually you can join free tours and then just tip them. Just as good.
    First time in a hostel. How weird. Aren't you backpackers?! More high end than me I guess. It's all good though! Besides I am not dedicated nor talented enough to make my own channel. So good for you and good for your viewers. Thanks

    • @EricandSarah
      @EricandSarah  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      As we said at the end, $50 is a very comfortable budget in Medellin! Our total spend included 2 nights accommodation so not one day spending.
      And we’ve stayed in many hostels… but always private rooms because they’re usually same price as 2 dorm beds and we like have a secure place for our equipment :)

    On an average how much budget is needed for a three weeks trip to colombia: Bogota, medeiin and Cartagena?

      If you speak Spanish you’re already miles ahead! If you’re really nervous, then stay in a more touristy area like El Poblado or Laureles. Use your street sense to watch your belongings at all times, don’t date random people, don’t accept drinks (or overindulge)… if you follow all the standard safety precautions you’ll be fine! We spent 3 months in Colombia and never felt unsafe :)

  • @kirstanuci

    Tourists with no clue of the dangers... it's cheap means there are a lot without, and your it's cheap makes you rich to those without, and they will take it from you and resent you for being able to do cheap things to you but rich to them attitude.
    It's like Paris Hilton flexing and flashing money, visiting your house and community buying champagne and catering,
    and you can barely pay your rent.
    Telling a poor person who doesn't know how he's going to pay their cheap rent is insensitive and will get you robbed.

    • @gtrdline

      Speak for yourself. Don't make assumptions about people just because your dollar stretches more than it does in somewhere like Iceland. If you feel 'safe' because you are paying 50 bucks for a burger in Iceland then go to Iceland. These people weren't flaunting cash or acting rich.
