I just saw this interview of David from on CNN’s website about his daughter Miranda and her dog Ringo. I’ve always respected David’s point of view and it was such a lovely interview. I don’t know the woman who interviewed him, but she was absolutely terrific.
Brianna Golddigger is a very compassionate interviewer, as are most people of IT descent. Even IT males wear their emotions on their sleeves. The way IT people use their hands to "talk" is funny as h3ll, but that is how expressive they are. And Ms. Golddigger is kind of easy on the eyes as well. I think I want an IT for a wife. Yum yum.
I had no idea. I'm a father of daughters, and I just wanted to tell you I'm so very sorry. FYI, I'm a Democrat/independent, and it never crossed my mind writing this before I watched the entire video. My heart hurts for you as it would anyone. I've watched you on the news for many years. Hang in there, my friend. All the best to you and your family.
David Frum has always moved me with his words, but this utterly cracked my heart open. I’m so sorry for Miranda’s loss. You’ve done her a beautiful honor.
Even when he advocated for the Iraq war which resulted in more than 300,000 deaths over a bogus claim, over a lie which Frum was propagating? It is sad when a parent loses a child so don't come back at me with that. My condolences to him. My question is to you, were you moved by his war mongering words as well?
John MacVane, a war correspondent during WWII, wrote in his memoir about his infant son, Miles. Born in London during the blitz, the baby developed kidney cancer and died in his seventh month. There in besieged London, in the midst of the greatest war in history, the MacVanes buried their little boy, and had inscribed on his stone these words: “There is not enough darkness in the whole world to put out the light of one small candle.” Milo still shines in the darkness, and so does Miranda, forever.

My Mother lost my only sibling at the age of 78. My brother, her baby was 37. The grief was enormous. She developed Alzeheimers, and the last years of her life when she could talk, she referred to him as one of her Cousins and that was a blessing.

I am so sorry to learn about the death of the daughter of David Frum and his wife. She was obviously an amazing woman. I am a Canadian who listened to David's mother, Barbara Frum, on CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation) radio for many years. She was an amazing journalist; I can still hear her distinct voice. It means alot that David and his wife are caring and loving their daughter's pup. While dogs are quite a responsibility and can be a real handful at times (I speak from experience) , David and his wife will reap loving rewards from caring for their daughters dog. They are intuitive little creatures and will help with the Frum's healing over time. My deepest sympathy for their loss.💔

What we hold in common as parents who love our children gives us more in common than any political stance. My best to you and your family.
So sorry your beautiful daughter had to leave so soon! She sounds like a force that maybe deep down knew her time was short. Miranda is still very much alive and you will be together again, she left you company Ringo, and it looks like you two are the best of friends.

So sorry for your loss. Heartfelt sympathy to you and your family. I don't think politics should be involved nor religion for that matter. As a fellow human being we are here to care for one another.
Kudos to Bianna Golodryga for so well conducting this very moving interview on such a difficult subject.
Wonderful interview. That dog has spirit, he learned well from your daughter. Best wishes for peace.
Mr Frum, I am so sorry for the loss of your beautiful daughter Miranda. Our family can so feel your grief, as our lovely daughter died of a brain tumour too, at age 33. May your family find comfort in celebrating and remembering her life.
Im so sorry. Big David Frum fan
Lost my granddaughter at 100 days old to a careless caretaker. She smothered. The worst pain in my life. I thought. 7 months later, my son ( her uncle) died. The pain was too familiar, more intense. I am forever broken.
Great interview. Thank you to this interviewer who was compassionate and allowed the real humanity of this story to shine. And thank you to such a brave father for sharing this story.
Ringo is a good boy.
You are a beutiful spirit David !

My sister-in-law died of lung cancer a 10 years ago and she left her dear labrador Bill Bailey with her husband. He was the sweetest lab in the world and was so gentle with her the entire time. He lived for another 3 years...sweet Bill Bailey.❤❤❤

I’m so sorry David for your and your family’s loss of your beautiful daughter/sister Miranda❤️
I understand somewhat, I lost my son David at age 19. Sending love across the miles from New Zealand. My dog Nell is with me after a recent mastectomy, she stays by my side and seems to know so much, she is such a comfort ❤️🙏🇳🇿🇨🇦
Thank you so much for sharing this. It really helps to put in perspective the daughter parent relationship. This helps so much- to see these parents perspective of their daughter´s life.
🙏 and Love of her doggie 💔
I loved LOVED loved this article. It took me 5 tries to get a free trial subscription to The Atlantic, but after reading the first two paragraphs I had to keep trying. It was worth it. I love Ringo too now. So glad to see him in the video.
So sorry. Sending prayers.💙
What amazing bravery, strength and love. His pain radiates from the screen but so does the love he still feels for his little girl.
Thank you for teaching U.S. how to deal w/problems & Overwhelming Grief.
David, Our hearts reach out to your entire family. I am so so very sorry.
He Is so sure in himself , allmost arroguant
That's the greatest act you can do for a passed on loved one - take in their pet, don't drop them off at a shelter. Thank you! ❤🐕🙏💫🌱💥🌎
Heart breaking, thanks for sharing your stories and prayers and blessings to you and your family! I’m in awe with your strength 🙏🏼
Miranda has left a piece of herself for her parents. Ringo is absolutely perfect in every way but especially so because he keeps them so busy with his high maintenance and antics. God bless the Frum family and may he give them the strength to handle their loss.
Aww she is adorable 🤩🥰.
It’s horrible. His mother Barbara was a lovely person in Canada.
Ontario ?
@@MilankaMilosevic-l4u yes think so. She was Barbara she had a radio show called as it happens. She never discussed politics, or she show any political opinions. It was an extremely good not only about things going on in Canada, but also things going on in the world. It was from the CBC. I used to listen to it on short wave radio before the Internet came along. It still might be today on either CBC radio or CBC TV but in this country, I don’t believe you can listen to it I am from USA. It’s sad that he’s face such sadness his mother Barbara Frum and his daughter. I listen to her when I was during my adolescence, because I absolutely loved the short wave radio. I don’t believe there are or is any more short wave radio I think it’s progressed to the Internet, but I could be wrong.

One of the few fathers that really cares about their daughters/children and then they lose them so early. 😥
Mine didn't give af.
I’m so sorry for you!
@Happy_Bnzo_Puppy
There are countless
fathers that love and care for their children, and grandchildren. Your bitterness from your personal experience is clouding your judgement.
Ringo a beautiful dog. He not interest being perfect. But he know he closer than most. Weakness for cheese and he sit in dad's lap. We get to see the saddest dog in the world, up close. I normally only see Bianna, on trip. I delay trip a week. I still see her. Great story.
...speechless...ahum...just wanted to thank you for sharing this hartwarming and remarkeable story of the human experience under these trying circumstances your are going through, much appreciated...wish all Miranda's loved ones all the strength, thank you for your wise wisdom in these personal very difficult times. And in the end, doggies rules are making much more sense than what we humans ever are capable of, I'll say...
Such love for his daughter. I’m sorry for her family feeling such grief.
I've lost so many family members in my life; young, old and in between. I also have an unwavering belief in God and Heaven and as much as grief and loss hurts, I do not want anyone I've lost to leave Paradise for even a second. I miss them so much it physically hurts and want to see them more than anything but I know they are free of pain, earthly troubles and want for nothing. I know God loves them more than I do and they are at peace.
Tribalism is brushed aside uniquely when it comes to the sense of welfare for our politically unaffiliated pets.
Triumvirrat
David and family (including Ringo), I am so sorry for your loss. Thinking of you at this very difficult time.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Ringo is a rock, and dogs are the best. I'm so glad he is with you now, and he is your forever conduit to your daughter
