The top bracket income tax seems irrelevant to me, as it was at its lowest during the depressions worst point, and its raising correlates with (impossible to say if it caused) the period of economic recovery. IIRC the top brackets tax remained levied after the war and into the post-war boom period which is a hint for me that other factors were more significant in causing the great depression than FDR; like the dustbowl, massive bank run, entente debt schemes, poorly leveraged investments and bad loans, ETC.

My favorite was the one where they weren't aloud eat for a whole week. It really added to the action when they fell from hunger.
