@Apsoy Pike what is your implication? That FDR is the independent variable? The top bracket income tax seems irrelevant to me, as it was at its lowest during the depressions worst point, and its raising correlates with (impossible to say if it caused) the period of economic recovery. IIRC the top brackets tax remained levied after the war and into the post-war boom period which is a hint for me that other factors were more significant in causing the great depression than FDR; like the dustbowl, massive bank run, entente debt schemes, poorly leveraged investments and bad loans, ETC.

When I saw the foreign fashion model hosting, I immediately thought of Heidi Klum and Project Runway. Seriously, doling out absurdly difficult challenges calling the contestants to basically create the moon with hardly anything to work with. As usual, the Onion is not too far from the truth and it’s TERRIFYING!!! 😱

In the "STILL AHEAD THIS HOUR" section they used a tip that was already used in an episode before! By the way great reality show! Way better than those in real television.

What's even more disturbing is that the basic facts depicted in the video ARE reality. All the Onion does is tweak the truth a little to make us realize that the truth is fucking dumb and depressing.

Silly idea and flawless execution. Once again, it's easy to see why so many people think these are for real.

The factory that makes America's best mid-price sedan is... not a Ford factory.

"If you'd buy American, we wouldn't be in this trouble." Simply stunning. Followed by the best generalization of all time: "You people..." specific, to the nth degree, "...are so ignorant." I think my irony gland just exploded.
