I thought nothing could top his Saturday Night Fever performance. I was a divorced mother of 3 when it came out & me & my single friends loved disco & his dancing. But when this movie came out later, this dance even topped Saturday Night Fever & Grease. He is why my now adult son, is a great dancer because every time we watched Travolta movies , my 9 Year old was taking it all in. Nobody tops Travolta!!

Not true! After dropping out of high school he enrolled in drama school in NYC where he studied acting, voice, and dancing. Most actors did. Richard Gere studied all three which is why he was ready to do the role in CHICAGO. Christopher Walken can dance up a storm! Travolta’ s first song and dance role was in BYE BYE BIRDIE when he was 16. He’s been dancing most of his life! Jerry Orbach, the wonderful actor who played Lenny on Law and Order for so many years was a song and dance man first! He started on Broadway! You can find him singing and dancing here on TH-cam! These actors had to be able to do everything to get jobs. They had to be “triple threats.” That’s what they were called!

John is the man that would stay on the dance floor..It wasn’t natural at all, he had no rhythm and was clumsy. The person that taught him to dance, he had to learn to walk and move his body without looking down..The rhythm start with moving those hips, urban cowboy was his first dancing movie. The dancing in Saturday Night is/was the best and then the BeeGees music that is a part of History..Then Pulp Fiction was another one of his dancing 🕺..John card for getting on the floor is always full..He said on several interviews that dancing makes him happy. Who can listen to The Bee Gees, or Grease, etc. without doing a Travolta move? Liked your non dancing movies too but you're up there with Fred Astaire to me in terms of taking it to another level.
