I think I'd just use the existing grill - it should straighten out once it's unbolted from the hood. Maybe a little Super Glue and argent paint if anything...
I don't think $2500 is very far out of line - maybe looking at it as a wholesaler it is, but I think you can probably sell that baby for $3000 or better pretty easily.
I'd definitely replace that top rad hose now though. That could end up biting you on a long trip...

Being an old timer at 70 years old, I really enjoy seeing you save the Seville. It is indeed a beautiful car for its era and even today. As Randy would say, I would drive the hell out of it. It reminds me of the tapped out 1977 Chrysler Cordova that I owned that was white on white. It had an upgraded leather padded half lanbow top.

Cadillacs of the 80's and 90's had self diagnostic capabilities. Depress the Off and red Warmer buttons on the air conditioning control head and the current codes will display in the message center. You can also clear the codes by using the control head.

I'm from the UK and I had one the exact same colour with the phaeton burgandy roof also. Mine was a 4.9L and I had it from 2003-2014 and it was a lovely car. My interior was all burgandy, the same colour as the dash in this one. I was told by a cadillac expert to make sure the temperature NEVER went above 224 as it would destroy the engine, so I always watched the temperature. It was my favourite car and I wish I still had it. The reaction it got from people was mixed-they either loved it or hated it.

randy these caddy's have a built in code reader check for Diagnostic Trouble Codes stored in the computer, turn the ignition on, then hold down the OFF and WARMER (for digital dash) or OFF and passenger-WARMER buttons (for analog dash) or OFF and "Info ^" buttons (if you have temperature dials) until all of the dash lights come on. The digital display will then show any codes stored. Be prepared to write them down. When it's done, you will probably see "PCM?" At that point, press the OFF button 3 or 4 times until the dash goes back to normal, or just turn off the ignition.

Don't be fooled by cars of that era. The typical life of a US brand car built in the 1980s and before was less than 100k miles. For cars with known bad reliability like FWD Cadillacs and Mopar Turbos life was even less. Don't be fooled by the nice paint and upholstery, most cars built in that era went to the salvage yard looking new.

Probably have to google the flow charts. Have always used Vaseline on o rings for thermostats. The CJ is cool AF! It has that Jeep “death wobble”. Short wheel base, big tires, poor steering dampening and alignment concerns. Your Uncle’s house has character! Live in one similar myself that was my Grand parents. 9:50 Yeah Dex cool or Dexkill back when they call it will have problems with gumming up cooling passenge holes. I’ve have seen it where it becomes solid as a rock and you will have to take a part the upper heads to clean it out. I have to say now Dexcool doesn’t have that issue any more and I even think now you can switch a GM car to green coolant and dex coolant without having any problems as long as you flush it all out good.
