No matter how many times you flush the transmission if the car isn't running the fluid in the front pump doesn't flush unless you connect it to a trans flush machine

Betting that BCM code is whats causing the security light to come on. Possibly the antenna fault as well. That corvette can be turned into a really, really nice car pretty easy. It’ll be nice to see that Cadillac all working such a nice and under appreciated car glad it’s getting your attention. That gauge cluster is so cool looking, I remember my grandparents and it was really quick for that time period.

A beater Corvette is still a Corvette. For the O2 sensor thing, if you want the light off but don't want to spend $3000 on new cats, then look at getting O2 sensor extensions. you screw these into the O2 sensor holes, then screw the 02 sensors into them. This basically pulls the rear O2 sensors out of the direct exhaust stream and tricks the computer into thinking the cats are working because it is seeing less exhaust flow. That should take care of the check wallet light.

I have seen transmission flush’s done at the dealership with a pump machine . Car running and hooked to the machine. The mechanic believed in this process, I don’t know but seems like you should try it. I think salt water got to your cable shift and needs a new shifter cable.

love the FL patina,no,no, the emblems are perfect and original, don't top off the brake fluid until you see if the pads are worn out. Clean some oil off then fluid film it. May have seemed like work, but this is fun, remember !
You need to check the inside pad in case the caliper is stuck and only wearing one pad.
    I like the sound.
Can you get a switch at the junk yard ?
I had the same oil leak. The dummy that changed the oil did not tighten. I had to fire myself !
You have to flush the converter too. Maybe separetly ? Drill a hole in the bottom, then plug with sealed end rivit.
MWM's fault ? He's the one who got it going !
    Keep 'em comin' Randy !

I was right about it being the filter leaking. If you go back and watch the video Randy, when the trans pan was being put back on, you could still see the pink frothy goop dripping from the transmission. Maybe it didn't get completely cleaned out and needs a really good flushing a few times? The car is in too nice of shape to not fix it. It runs and drives awesome and the body is in incredible shape for it's age. Good luck and I hope you're feeling better and your shoulder is healing up.

Randy, if you look back at your last video. You will see the oil dripping from the oil filter itself. The camera caught it when you put it under the vehicle, but you could not see it. I tried to post on the last video, but I see you have now found the issue. I am not saying that is the only issue, you could have a leak elsewhere on the drivetrain as well. But I could see drops coming from oil filter in previous video. The time stamp is 33:58, but if you start at 33:56 you will see drop form, and fall. It drips on camera until 34:11. Hope this helps. Keep doing your thing Randy! I am from Southern Oklahoma right off 35. If you are ever in the 580 give me a shout!

Allante: that's interesting about the coolant... There's that and the no heat situation. I wonder if the heater core is plugged full of that pink goop that was in the transmission pan. Hopefully another flush will get the rest of that crap out of the transmission. As far as the shifter, the cable probably got water in it and displaced the grease, causing a ton of friction. If it didn't break here, treat it like an old bike with cable actuated brakes and spray some lithium or silicon lube and see if it frees up.

If you want to know for sure if transmission cooler is compromised loosen and remove transmission lines and cap from radiator and use compressed air blow into cooler while holding something over hole for transmission line if it is compromised you'll get air bubbles come out where the cap goes depending on the severity of the leak depends on how much air is going to come to the system

Going by your difficulty jumpstarting the Allante and comments on the last video, I suspect there may be the odd bad ground point lurking in there. Might be worth going through them, especially those likely to have been flooded. Once cleaned and conserved properly, they should last for years. @ 2:00 of video you really should have said the paint is gone from neglect and has never been protected from the Florida Sun ! A ten Minute wash with any car wash wax soap weekly will seal the paint preventing this sort of Damaged Paint !
