I still have a mint cond Lami 11 ft one piece honey gold E glass spinner custom built for me by John shauer in Long island, when I was a South shore surf rat, back in the 1990s. I landed 3 stripers at tobay Halloween night 1995 that were 55 lbs each on 3 consecutive casts on bunker chunks with this monstrosity rod, and a Van staal gold 250 reel, number 89. Van staals had just come out and were made in Connecticut then. I bought it at causeway in wantagh. It was Quite a workout. Practically a 20 lb rod/reel combo. Lol. Best night of striper fishing I ever had
Oh, nice to hear Lamiglass finally picked up the 'clue phone'. The GSB was and hopefull will regain status as a great all around blank for surf casters.
Hey lou im thinking about snaggin ine one of those gsb 132 1ms not the (os) and i would really like to know what grips those are? Also where can i get the one of those blanks, i looked round on mudhole and the lamiglas website but on either site its either out of stock or its missing and replaced with gsb 132 2m. Any suggestions?

Punches plugs through the wind no problem, excellent recovery and load. Lamiglas made the right choice bringing these back.
I quit fishing Lamiglas for all the reasons stated.Good to hear they are trying to make things better.
I’m debating if I should get the lamiglass super surf 2 g pro or the new lamiglass gsb ? Any suggestions
