Love these videos wish I could go back in time and do stuff like this. One thing I've learned fishing the canal is to always bring a spare rod. Especially walking that far from the truck.
@@CrazyAlbertoKneeumm what? This guy is in college full time, home for the summer and leaving to Alabama to finish his degree, legit sleeps in his truck and spends days on end filming to create content…sounds like someone has some regrets or jealousy.
I know all about losing drones -- crashed to Mavic Air 2's in the span of a year and a half and both had incredible footage on it. Felt so bad. I feel for ya. Keep creating.
I got chased down the beach there with some crazy guy with a knife,I had a fly rod and told us to fish down there, and I said I’ll bury your face in the sand, lol he blew up and went to get a knife, state trooper showed up and dude split.😂
@@thomasgallo7271 actually yes! That same trip I landed a 30” stripper on my second cast into two feet of surf. They’re pushing bait fish right in front of me.. we also rented a 16’ boat and fished through the lighthouse area, local fishermen can be territorial.
I lost a striper due to line being too light. I threw a dropshot near a pocket with brush and grass near the shore. I used a mullet soft plastic with trophy bass procure. She hit lure hard, pulling her out from near grass and brush sadly, the line broke after fighting this nice striper for 10 minutes. I put heavier line on, so next time, opportunity hits I won't lose the striper. 😢
Are there any recommendations for any Jersey/New York fishing? I’m really trying to look for spots for me and my dad. Love this video by the way, and beautiful place!
@alexandercolon8111 i usually take my father to Keansburg fishing pier in Nj, Sandy hook is good but too much walking for my dad and the pier is convenient they sell bait and have cutting stations for bait, right now you'll catch flounder but stripers and blues are up north, i would wait til Fall when temps drop, i caught my pb this past April a 38 inch striper at the pier
Been years since I fished Montauk. I used fish the Sag Harbor area ...caught a lot of bluefish and dogfish. Love the area. Great content D man. Liked when you climbed that boulder in all your gear. Keep grinding brother!
Sir wow that guy proves that this world is full of fisherman who are pieces of shit and others like him who could not be more generous I have never in my life heard of someone lending another fisherman a rod wow what a great guy by the way how the heck did you break the tip and here is a heads up for the times when i have broken the tip what you do is slice off those few inches that remain and thereby making the next guide equivalent to a top got it?
and another thing correct me if am wrong did I see that man GIVE you a flying Squid that is a 25 dollar gift wow that will never happen to you again my friend cherish that moment I have given people leaders , hooks , Gulp and line but I must confess I would not give away a 25 dollar lure omg

Aside from the attempted murder, you have any luck there on the fly? I tried once or twice, but mostly do the jetties west of there.
