Love Montys various and diverse facial expressions. Can switch from looking like he is experiencing pain to joy to contentment to discomfort to excitement in one sentence !

On any tour except he chose the wrong club on 18 at 2006 US OPEN he is a fade player he needed to go one more club and hit the knock down shot in that wind instead he went for the full swing club and it wasn't enough. He was one the best iron players on the Euro tour in the 90s he was always hitting from the short grass because he drove the ball so well.

He mellowed with age. If he only brought his Ryder cup performances to 4 rounds at the majors, he won senior majors. The American crowds knew how to wind him up. Brooklyn 99, Payne Stewart was getting American supporters kicked out. Eventually conceding the match, because someone stole his putter. Colin Montgomerie once played the Newlands trophy (scratch or better) at Lanark Golf Club in the mid 80s when as an amateur he came third and went home before the prize presentation. He learned from his mistakes.

Nope, however he won 7 or 8 Order of Merits in a row. Also a Senior US Open. The guy was a great player.
