These lessons are excellent. Can you provide a definition of mohra? I hear this term used often and kind of understand what it is (short looped phrase) but don't understand the actual definition. Thank you!

Hi. A simple definition is that a mora is the repetition of a phrase three times which ends on an important beat within a rhythmic cycle - often (but not always) on the first beat of the cycle. Thanks for watching!

Yes! The traditional kanjira is made from lizard skin which absorbs water in order to deepen in pitch.
