Everybody talking about Takumi and his plot armor in Fifth Stage, whereas Keisuke was the one who really got a huge boost in his character development and skills from Fourth and Fifth Stage. He went from a douche with an FD at First Stage to a good racer with skills in Fourth Stage to a hyper beat by the end of Fifth Stage. Fourth Stage really gave a huge improvement to his skills, especially Ryosuke's training on accelerator work and timings, which made him an unstoppable force by Fifth Stage.
I mean even in stage one he is still alot better than average takumi beated him so hard because it was literally his homecourse keisuke wouldn't have lose that badly if it weren't for akina
