Idk, I kinda like the FC’s headlights
This season was all about Ryosuke for me. The project D aces really took a back seat both from the story and character/driver development perspective. The Project D battles lacked tension and they won too easily.
The stand out moment for me was Ryosuke and Ikeda saving Hojo with the breaking team work and the subsequent closing of Ryosuke/Rin's grief/guilt driven fued.
Yeah, Fifth and Final stage will make you think Ryosuke is the main character.

It really fits with the car and race I just wish the actual race was longer and more fast paced

Potentially unpopular opinion: I like Initial D, don't get me wrong, but this fifth stage was boring for the most part. Considering the parts that had me the most interested were the moments when nobody was racing, people were talking and story was... happening. The races were too drawn out and not much went on in them other than people turning corners in varying ways for like 5 long minutes at a time with little dialogue.
Its a popular opinion, 5th stage wasnt great

@@Horus4387 The Grim Reaper race was the only really interesting race in the whole stage, and only because of zero's ability to actually speak through the race, the heart-to-heart commentary between Ryosuke and the Grim Reaper part way into the race, and the way it ended. But mostly because it was an un-common glimpse into Ryosuke's racing ability. Something I wish there was more of.
To me the series sucked after season 2. Too many asspulls after that.

Stage 5 : Basically where every race is done in one round, and lots of whooshing and aura effects....
The race against the supra was so lame for me, it was normal and then the supra driver says something, activates his aura like "im going all out" but just touches his back bumper and says "i lost"
Its the grip of his tyres since supra is a much heavier car than the FD. Also, he goes all out for keisuke to make a mistake as he panics at the crucial moment. But that clearly didn't work out

it's amazing how much better the CGI looks compared to the first season. Even though the shots themselves are mostly the same, the extra detail and clarity make it so much more visceral.

It was great to see the fifth stage feature new cars such as the NSX.
Basically Takumi brakes late at every corner but still drives perfectly. Fujiwara zone kind of makes sense though, the teleporting forward is just artistic expression. Fourth Stage is better.

Overall Fifth Stage was epic, but I absolutely hate all the "aura", wings, and "Fujiwara zone" (is that some kind of AutoZone knock off or what?) bullshit.
They Auras were fine, and hell, even the wings, but the Fujiwara Zone stuff is just... no... If it was an alternate name for the gutter run I’d understand it, but nope, it’s just “huehue super speed now lol”.

I agree that 5th stage isn’t the best stage but I really enjoyed all the stages and 5th stage had the aura stuff which I can see put a lot of people off but that’s just because all the characters racing in 5th stage are around the level of pro racers and so the aura was to convey the fact that they are no longer normal street racers they are advanced racers and to be honest when I see someone going real fast in racing I can feel something resonate within me and I guess that the way they convey that feeling is through aura because we can’t really feel how fast they are going because they are in an anime so I think they use aura to convey that feeling.

The Shinigami vs. White Comet is one of my favorite races in the series. The race looked more like a Wangan Race more than an Initial D race.
First mistake: Dont use to Supra in toge.Because its car so heavy but supra use to wangan because car engine God boost car .

I understand what you mean. Supra is heavy, wide and has longer wheel base. Therefore it's very unsuitable for the winding roads of touge. Gotta go for shorter wheel bases and light vehicles like the trueno

@@reedman0780 I think the teleports are meant to represent the feeling of being behind a driver who just seems to be pulling away and is cornering faster than yourself. I see it as subjective experience of seeing your own pace against your opponent. I kind of get almost the same feeling if I'm karting and I'm behind someone who is just quicker and they seem to get away, no matter how fast i try - they just seem to disappear around the corner.
They aren't really going that fast, only 120kmh at most.

I love the 3D drifting in stage 1, The Emperor EVOS in stage 2, The conclusion of Takumi-Mogi romance? in Stage 3, The God Hand & God Foot of Purple Shadow in stage 4 (My favourite!), Grim reaper v Ryosuke, Kaori in 5th stage & MOVE: Dreams in Final Stage.

Fourth stage and Fifth stage felt so out of place for the AE86, I know it's iconic as heck in the series, but Takumi switching to the Impreza would've just made more sense for both seasons lol

Most found this stage boring, because the fights weren't very action packed, but here's the thing, just because a track has locals doesn't mean their going to be a challenge, think about the Speed Stars vs the Redsuns before Takumi shows up, In my opinion this stage is
more realistic.

No it's Keisuke's phone. In the fog, he wasn't able to know about oncoming traffic, but Kenta phoned him because there wasn't anybody coming. When Keisuke heard the phone, he smashed the gas and passed the Nissan.
Keisukes phone so Kenta could signal if any cars where around or not so he could overtake
