Wow, That was nuts on how thick those salmon are & the white water, bow wave & commotion of when the seal was attacking was amazing. Showing the technics on how to use different lures, plastic etc is good being incorporated into the filming. Had a mad session on the salmon in Salts bay recently plenty of fun for all. Enjoy the south coast, beautiful part of the country. Cheers Stevo
Yeah was amazing to see and lucky enough had the camera with me. Cheers mate, it’s great when they’re on and will eat anything that moves but was nearly good they weren’t so I could show off the different lure choices. Will do mate! -Louis
there is nothing wrong with them to eat if you do so fairly quickly ...we catch them way bigger than that in Tassie...I got three the other day all over three pounds ...
I remember years ago , when I lived in Tanja , fishing the Bega River at Tathra and the salmon were so thick that you could almost walk across the river on them. We caught masses whilst perched on the oyster racks. Very dangerous to cast from but great fun when they are on. Whereabouts was this video filmed ?
Back when the river didn’t close up every few years! Sounds like it would have been an awesome and sketchy time from the racks haha. I won’t give the exact location but it’s the lake you pass on the way to Bunga
Cheers mate! Hopefully they come a bit more regularly 🤞🏼. I’m pretty sure I had to order that rod online, or may have come from Freddy’s at Broadmeadow. As an alternative, just picked up an atomic arrowz in 6-14lb and very impressed with it for the price and should be a bit more available. Model is 70ML
@@anglinguntangled cheers mate, lost a fair bit of gear in Lake Illawarra recently with a boating incident and looking for a new rod, want to get down to Moruya this summer for some topwater whiting, loving your videos mate !!!
Bugger! Definitely worth having a look into the atomic arrowz then mate. The bream surface (70BS) is my go to whiting and bream stick these days. You’ll no doubt see it in upcoming vids chasing some whiting on top a little bit further down the coast
Cheers mate! I won’t give the exact location as it’s a bit of a hidden gem, it’s on the far south coast of NSW. Salmon schooling like this is happening at many river mouths this time of year
Top spot! The sand is firm at the ramp though navigating the channels can be tricky on the low tides. Small boat/shallow running boat only at the moment

Yeah I do tend to give them a bad wrap, a lot of people don’t mind them at all. That’s some good size salmon!
Some awesome footage😍
Cheers! Very lucky to witness something so cool and be able to share it

How much was your boat man it looks awesome and where can I buy a boat like it
Yeah it’s a little ripper. I picked it up secondhand but it’s a stacer proline 399 (4m) if you were looking for the same model. Perfect estuary boat
Where is this please, new subscriber ,really like your vids
