- The Corsair Carbide 275R isn't a spectacularly different case; it is actually quite boring. However, it does almost everything perfectly and that's important. But one major flaw that should have been dealt with long ago comes back again.

Corsair updated their case removing the hex screws for thumb screws with flat head drive. Just letting you all know. thanks
YEA i saw that a min ago already orderd it before the i saw this vid
@@Jkuup where do you ordered it?
Thank you
DroneMatesFPV I got one a few days ago, it’s the black one and it has the thumb screws with the pegs on the case. It works amazingly
And the rubber under the glass is now glued.. so no more losing rubber thing..
They changed the screws on the side panel of the case so they are flat thumb screws and glued the foam to the screws and have a slot to hold the panel when putting it back on and off, so they fixed the flaws in the video
On amazon?
@@ctonyoutube6206 yep. Just did a friend's build in this. Pleasure to build in for a semi budget case.
@@Kholaslittlespot1 yes since the comment I bought it. Very cool case
@@Kholaslittlespot1 same on mine I got it in 2020 and the thumb screws were changed and glass panel installation is much easier. Still far from best in class but definitely not a direct downside anymore, just like an avg tempered glas panel that you can remove once in a while if you want to without any real trouble.
I've contemplated drilling holes in the front plastic panel for better airflow. It hasn't been bad so far but it would be neat to have straight air passage.
For anyone who wants to buy this case:
-The side window comes with thumb screws now
-ONLY the tempered glass version comes with the top dust filter and the rubber around the cable management holes
I have to say, I really like the case. It feels like high-quality. I don't have problems with heat, but I also don't have overclocked components inside the case (I have an i7 4770 and a GTX 1060)
efwqfmqo Ik I'm asking this kinda late but what is your fan configuration for this case? I'm thinking about getting this case and I want to know if the stock fan configuration is good enough.
@@sohanchalla3458 same
efwqfmqö I have an EVGA 600W PSU. Do I install the psu with the fan facing up or down.
@@aaronortega5375 I installed the PSU facing down, so it doesn't interfere with the case fan configuration.
Sohan Challa I have the stock case fan configuration and it's completely fine for non-overclocked components. I would however buy a low-voltage adapter for the fans, because otherwise they run at 12 V (very high speed and therefor high noise). I think in my case they run at 6 V. Then you can barely hear them. :)
P.S.
sorry for the late answers. TH-cam showed me just now for whatever reason.
@@efwqfmqo6502 Ok thank you
Pro tip: screw side panel while your case is on the side
Yes, that's one way to do it. But WHY do we have to face this compromise? It's inconvenient. Shouldn't be like this for a brand new spanking 2018 release...
-D.
HardwareCanucks pro tip: build your pc in a clean environment and you won’t lose the parts.
In fact, I really don't understand the issue, everyone builds his pc flat and most of us work in a clean environment when building our pcs so it might not be the best solution ever, it really isn't a deal brake especially at this case's price point.
Can't see any compromise in that, sorry.
he wanted a controversial title don't you get it.
Airflow choke is more of a let down then the tempered glass mounting IMO. Not many of us are getting inside our PC cases on the regular like you Dmitri. Great video!
This looks like a nice case and appears to be priced right. I do agree the installing the glass panel could be easier, like replacing it with a hinged door. Air flow is a major thing for me though, which is why the SilverStone RL06WS-PRO is still my favorite case of all the ones I've looked at. Great video, thanks.
Oletta Liano taken a look at fractal design define R6? its expensive but the options on it are okay and doesnt kill air flow.
Misakii yeah buying the black TG version of that case tommorow, can't wait to build in it.
but the noise....
To let everyone know, they have revised the mounting screws for the glass panel to flat head screwdriver thumb screws and the little rubber stand offs are now fixed to the case so you won’t lose them, I know about this change as I just received mine today by amazon (not sent by Corsair, I bought it myself )
Great to know 👏 they listened to logic 😎
I can verify what @TheCardude98 said. Bought this case a few months ago based on this excellent review. They have thumb screws and the mounting it self sticks out from the case. It is easy to mount and hold the glas in place while turning the thumb screws to secure it. The glass is still not square, they could have changed the black boarder on the glass to give it a two sided look. Would make it a more easy to remove and reinstalling the glass but this is not a big issue now that they have thumb screws :-D
Bought this case 2 days ago from Amazon and it came with thumb screws for the tempered glass panel, they even included the original screws just in case you like them! Just thougth I'd let people know.
Glad to say that the tempered glass mount has been updated pretty well. rubber grommets are now attached to the case itself and instead of those flat screws we now have thumb screws :)
Here's a crazy idea.... put it on it's side?
Rafal Borowski Yeah, I said so too!!
Then he could complain only about the lights on the front.
Even my 16 year old chieftec has some sort of guide to help with the side panel to install. at TG it should be obligatory.
It's still annoying if you want to clean the inside of your computer. I don't want to put it on it's side everytime i want to clean out dust or swap RAM etc.
Rafal Borowski You don’t have to do that with phanteks eclipse p400s white, same price, same size, better value.
Just got the case and they fixed the side-panel screws. Can easy open with thumbs now and the glass panel wont fall down. This case is amazing for it's price!
Oh man, GH5 + some new lightingh setups really took your videos to the next level. Very nice episode :)
What is it with cases killing airflow? I would take a less ultra-modern stylish case instead of death by heat lol.
Edit: I have the S340 Elite with 5 fans in it and I needed to keep the front off because it got way too hot, that's just an example of bad airflow.
It's now all about looks and my unique tastes; RGB, solid front covers, TG panels, .... Functionality is becoming an afterthought. Rarely does one buy a new case cause it functions better, but cycling RBG ... goodbye old antiquated one year old case.
To each their own - I personally tire of the front mesh design. I'd rather see cases try and intake air on the sides (See H700i) bottom or even the back room somehow.
I feel like there’s modding potential for this case, providing you have the means to do so.
Some well placed, tasteful cut outs on the front panel could probably drastically improve the airflow without detracting from the overall clean aesthetic.
My dream case is just an S340 Elite with another 140mm spot up top and instead of top and bottom air intakes just have square posts at the corner of the front panel and have completely open sides like the top is. I’d buy another S340 if they did this
Case manufacturers already know the limits of making a case for good airflow and there are plenty of options to satisfy that. All they really want at the end of the day is for your components not to throttle in normal use. Also with liquid cooling becoming more and more available good airflow becomes less and less of an issue hence why the shift in priorities. A lot of techtubers have made it seem like more of an issue than it actually is. While I appreciate the testing GamersNexus does, it doesn't take a genius to realize that the scenarios they subject their components to is not in anyway a good representation of a regular day to day usecase.
I have this case. the argument of been not good to mount the glass is valid, but if you lay it down on the table, is super easyer.
What I want in a case:
Function over form. Airflow over aesthetics. Room over RGB.
This case doesn't look too bad, but the case market is emphasizing a lot of the wrong things lately.
you can always get the airflow version, its the same price and i have it, it's a great case.
@@romyfyi Where?
@@romyfyi I recently bought the airflow version. The temperatures are really great
so i just bought one and they changed a couple things. The side panel rubber pads are actually secured to the case now. Also, the stock version comes with thumb screws to take out the side panel but they also encluded the allen screws if you like them.
10:40 who else thought that the case was much farther behind him when he touched it
Camera tricks. ;)
i just bought a 275r airflow and its amazing, it has bigger thumb nuts for the screws on side pannel,
its also still not square,
the airflow one is alotttt nicer and i got mine for £60 with free shipping
Great video as always, thank you, although I do love the Allen key type screws that Corsair placed here, they look really cool and professional, if you have a difficult time installing the side panel just do it on horizontal position, as most people built anyway, also the "feets" of the case are lovely, it brings that HiFi device nostalgy back to the table, and they are made in a perfect cylinder shape, not a nonsense cone-like shape as Fractal Design does. Corsair nailed this time.
I bought this case back in March 2020. They've since added thumbscrews that you can use in place of the allen screws (They don't sit almost flush like the allen screws, obv) and fixed the rubber grommet issue so they don't pop out and the glass doesn't fall anymore, just for those looking at this case in 2020. They've also added a plastic 24-pin cable routing channel to the case.
"I like the fact that it's all one colour"
Three seconds later:
"I don't like the contrast in colours".
I've bought this case 275R about about 8 months ago. I have the RX580 GPU in it. I'm happy to confirm that my version of the case has the thumb screws for the removal of the tempered glass. Looks like Corsair has looked at your video and decided not to go with allen keys. :-) Very happy with the case especially the styling and aesthetics.
Yo Dmitri, thanks for that 18.5/9 size for my pixel 😍👍🏼
Enjoy another sexy 2:1 aspect!
-D.
Yeaaah. Keep this aspect going forward. Sexyyy. 😎
Cameron Charles 18:9*
Only the S9 has 18.5/9, other phones like the Pixel, G6, etc... have 18:9 or 2:1. Im on LG G6 and its great.
I second
Cameron Charles watching on my g6. Didnt even notice the first few minutes xD
I agree, it is a very strange mounting option, but if you are really concerned about it, you can just mod the case by glueing the rubber bits to the case so it will be able to hold the glass panel when unscrewing and you will not lose it either.
I just got this case and they have fixed all of those side panel issues!
It still has limited air flpw through the front? The air gap looks tiny for 2 140mm fans
@@justchillin7274 yeah. I have 2 120's up front amd a 240 aio for the cpu. I also have a 1070fe so most of that heat goes out the back. Heavy loads cpu doesnt go over 52. Gpu sits at 82.
@@foREVerAvenged1 I ordered it because I'm building a pc I got the black tempered side panel. does the top dust filter come with it. a lot of people saying it was missing
@@aaronbraga7079 mine was there! Great case! 10/10 would recommend
@@foREVerAvenged1 okay thank you!
set the case on its side. set the glass on the case and line it up. put the screws in. id say that 95% of us don't get into our cases more than twice a year. and yet again....another great video duder, keep up the excellent work guys, all of you.
This case does nothing to distinguish itself from the Define C, so why buy this over the Define C when its tempered glass panel is much nicer and that case goes on sale for $60?
meshify c is a good looking case, but it should have been a bit longer so you can use a long gpu and a rad up front.
Zanny Cant you ask basically the same question about 90% of cases?
this is pretty much an NZXTs340 with glass panel lol
The Define C ist just perfect. Would love to see the NZXT SSD mount on the power supply. And I cut out the 120mm mount on the front to give my NB eLoops 140mm the perfect flow.
I think the 275R just looks better (in my opinion). It's all about looks when it comes to glass-panel-cases. And the define c is more expensive (alteast here in Germany) going for about 90€.
I can confirm they have fixed the side panel issue as I just bought this case. The rubber mounts are now fixed to the case and the panel is screwed on with flat head thumb screws. I seriously love this case
Would you recommend this case for a first build? Looking into building my first PC.
Been glaring at this case for a Corsair 1st time build, very appreciative of this review and will still purchase this case.
Btw, they updated it, now its all simple and easy, do an update!! PLZ EVERYBODY LIKE SO Y SEE'S.
On amazon?
I agree that the glass mount is short-sighted. But many people throw the cover on and don't take it off for three years. They're not going to care.
Much else about the case is very well thought out. I do love all those tie-down points.
I wonder if they are thinking about a "meshify" version. They should be.
A Note from 12/2/18: Slotted thumbscrews and rubber pegs now permanently attached...problem solved!
On amazon?
I just bought this case. It was a good price and checked off all the right boxes. I do not plan on living inside my case after i build it so the trouble to remove the tempered glass is not an issue for me. Thanks for the great review. It really helped me decide.
Update: I think this is one of the most feature rich cases in the "budget" category. Great cooling options with space for 6 fans, or two AIO; one in front and\or on top. 'The full length tempered glass is not too dark and the power supply shroud runs the entire case but does not restrict a front AIO. This really improved cable management and all the cut outs have the nice plastic pass through dust covers. You can move
emove the hard drive cage if you choose which makes cable management even nicer. Lots of space behind the motherboard and the I|O panel is on top for easy access. The added bonus is that it does not interfere with the front panel removal. Easily serviceable dust covers, front and on top. Plenty of room inside for cpu air coolers too. Subjectively: Clean lines on a sturdy, all metal case (except the front panel) without being gaudy or feeling cheap like some with lots of plastic. Cons: The 2X Corsair fans are crap so budget for better fans. $60usd
tonkatoytruck does it come with fans? If so how many?
@@lucdom540 Comes with two fans.
Depending on how heavy that panel is, you could DIY glue those rubber pegs onto the case so that they act as standoffs for when you have to mount the side panel on.
Loved the Star Wars sound effect you did for describing the RAM
Whaaat? What ever happened to good airflow and mesh front panels? Why is choking your pc the new trend?
Airflow should be good enough in this case. Mesh front is kind of a no-no when it comes to silent builds.
The mesh is a paint to clean.
I think mesh is pretty much photoshop to clean
"good enough" air flow is pretty bad for a case whose feature set includes a bunch of fan and radiator mounts. This case will hold back overclocking significantly. Also, Dimitri tested a Founder's card that hits about 84, in open air, GG on that.
Interrobang if it’s hitting 84 in open air then any case is going to create a problem.
Good thing 275R cases nowadays have a proper screw mounts for TGs.
Is it not possible to lay the case on its side (back side opposite the glass) on a table cloth? Once sitting flat the rubber should stay located / affixed in exact pos'n held through its center by using tightly rolled up thousand dollar bills (from your existing paraphernalia) inserted into threaded holes of case as sort of guideway protruding from the case, then gently place the glass on top and remove the bills one at a time as you install each screw in NASCAR tire change seconds if you are at all a handy person. You can leave the case on it's back side if you prefer to use the glass surface and rolled bills for something else and you have the case lights to assist under low light conditions with the added bonus of no reflective floor surface concerns.
Unplugging all your rear cables and moving your PC to a workspace is not optimal. You shouldn't need to do that for routine dust management.
What are you talking about? When you put a PC together, you're telling me you do it standing upright the whole time? You don't need to unplug rear cables to rest the case on it's backside. Moving your PC to a workspace? Your PC rests on a desk, you bring a small towel or cloth, place it down where the PC is, then lay the PC on its backside on the cloth, you don't move the PC. Why is everything so difficult? You realize that you had to walk - all the way to the PC before you could begin work, and I know how tiresome that can be, but maybe next time you can skip, smile and bounce, it might make less focused on all that work needed and if it does not work try humming too.
This is exactly what I was thinking. Why dont you just lay the case flat and close the side panel?
Holy shit these reviews are always so high quality. I can only imagine how long it takes to edit.
Props to you Dmitry
They have thumb screws now and rubber grommets are attached to the case.
I possess a Corsair 400C. Small, well built, nice white colour, good airflow and great design. With this new trend I don't see myself changing my case soon.
New revision is completely fixed and comes with thumb screws and screw standoffs
What a beautiful case. Nkw because of your video I am going to buy this case. And I see the point of the glass and the problem. But you must note this later. The case is meant to lay on it's back when you put the glass on. Yes lay it flat on it's back and law the glass flat down then screw it in. No holding anything in place.
How does this case compare to the S340 elite? Are they similar or is one of them clearly better?
Have a case by Cougar that is 75 with tempered glass on both sides and resting brackets for the panel that keep the glass from completely falling out when the screws are detached. The glass has to tip 45 degrees before it lets you slide the glass off the bottom bracket and has most of the same features without the airflow blocker on the front.
Captive thumbscrews!!!
This is a Nation of brave and free. no one shall held up captive . Not even a single thumbscrews. Let dem frii
I just received this for Christmas, & mine came with both thumbscrews & the allen wrench/screws with the grommets already flush into the case!
Did you changed your videos?? They are not full screen anymore on my 4k tv and with really bad ghosting.
You do the best case reviews Dmitry.
TL;DW Version: Buy the white Meshify C.
Mike Ekberg Meshify c doesn't fit large gpu's
Hey mate, actually ..... You have to mount the panel like you mounted the mobo and stuff, with the case horizontal,I think. So you can aim precisely, I guess, to the mount point. I'm just not sure if the pegs would fall or not. We tend to build with the cases standing on their feet, but we shouldn't, having it flat with a bulding mat under is so much easier.
What a fantastic case!
1. Glue the rubber bits to the glass;
2. Lay the case on the side to screw and unscrew the panel, you'll need to anyway for any serious maintenance;
3. You can probably buy 4 black thumb screws and replace the existing hex screws. They are usually standard.
The airflow did look like a downer but for 80 bucks... C'mon... It has like 50 tons of goodness in it, 5 degrees is a minor tradeoff. It's obviously not for harsh OC (not like you actually need it that much anyway) so for on-the-budget gamers it's pretty dope.
So, the Phanteks P400S is still the better choice? Got it.
STR33TSofJUST1C3 both a bad choice since no air comes in the front
P400S has decent front air intake. I built a system for my dad in it, and he clocked his 6600K to 4.7 just fine without any temp or noise issues.
I have a P400 and the airflow is really good despite it having a closed off front panel. I have an AIO mounted to the front and another mounted in the top. The crappy fans I'm using keep everything under 45C under fully gaming load. I've never tested without the front panel but there is still plenty of airflow.
Also I'm super jealous that your dad's 6600K would reach 4.7. If I push mine over 4.5 it just crashes, but even at 4.5 I do just fine in the speed department.
Was going to write something similar. Got the p400 not too long ago and I love it. This one seems like a slightly worse version of the p400, especially with the stupid side panel screws the corsair case uses. Oh and to the person saying it has bad airflow. I got a ryzen 3 in it oc'd to 4.1GHz. My previous case had a mesh front panel (aerocool aero-500 )and after moving my system to the p400 the temps went up by about 3-5c. But with better sound insulation ( even on the regular model ) I just bumped my fans up slightly to get the original temps which didn't affect how quite my build is at all.
That lamp - your best friend for filming setups.
Why does every case nowadays look the same
Did not realize there was a time they did not look all the same.
redX111t there was a time.
Thats why i buy In-Win cases =D
we have gone back to the beige looking case era
now it just needs a TURBO button and a keyboard lock
Corsair has fixed it! Now has thumb screws with slots to use a coin (not needed) and rubber grommets are fixed to case and can hold glass in place while fixing the thumbscrews. Well done Corsair.
No airflow. Dissapointed.
that is the same for 90%+ of cases released since mid 2016
the only one which comes to mind which *WAS* designed for airflow is the Fractal Design Meshify C (the only other one is the C700P from cooler master but that was TG only and got an airflow upgrade because of the rants of shitty airflow (especially for a larger full tower with 200mm fans in the box) especially the Gamers Nexus rant on it)
No airflow. The days of hard to clean gamery mesh are well behind us, and most Airflow cases are Sh*t ,like the RL06, witch is a terrible case from the quality standpoint, and also, 5 Degrees difference for a more quiet system is a worthwhile tradeoff.
Clearly you’re only saying this because people are starting to complain about airflow because of the Gamers Nexus review. Many cases are like this one. This doesnt even have garbage airflow. The airflow isn’t good, but it isn’t bad to the point where it’s not worth it.
thank you i'm not gay for expressing my thought. GN complains about lack of airflow is not necessarily the result of the case design but rather their method of testing that is extremely flawed, and because of that the case that they recommend are all essentially terrible.
I'll gladly accept a case like this if they make the side gaps and bottom gaps larger than most of the time.
Corsair updated and fixed the issue with the tempered glass also now the front glass panel comes with thumb screws with a flat head groove, and they send you extra hex screws for a back up. The front accent light gets annoying while the pc is in sleep mode; however, you can simply unplug the led on the bottom of the front of the case. I personally think this case is pretty decent and looks pretty nice. When you build your pc using this case it will be a clean build because they did a good job adding important cable management features. If you want a nice minimalistic design of a case that isn’t too fancy but has a clean look, I’d go with this case or the 275 r airflow. It really is a nice medium aesthetically if that is what you looking for.
I still think meshify c is the best case at 89 dollars.......best overall
The side panel really isn't a problem, you can glue the rubber nobs to the glass from the inside. No one will notice them + you can just flip the case on its side to attach it in half a minute.
This case seems like the perfect middle ground for me. Cheaper than the Phanteks p400s and slightly smaller but with enough room to not make everything look too cramped. Though im still wondering how much room there would be between a cpu radiator in the front if i put in a 3 Fan GPU which im most likely going to put into my new build.
I love wight *cpu* 💜...tnx broi..
wut?
The no vent no drive front panel look is great. I love it.
I just don't understand why case makers don't put larger side and/or bottom vents to let air get in.
I guess with this case, you could put a 140mm intake fan on the front top spot?
NZXT S340 elite V 2.0
almost with a touch of corsair!
i hate curves
on cases
the NZXT doesn't have that ULTRA flaw.
Almost all cases are NZXT s340 V 2.0, the NZXT s340 is like the Ugboots of PC cases
i just bought this case and it ISN'T a problem anymore. The rubber keeps the glass snug while unscrewed and does not come away from the case. also - it now requires a flat head instead. the problem has been resolved it is awesome!!
Not even close to perfect. Unless you really like the white color, you'd be a fool to pick this over the Define C or Meshify. But hey, at least you get a top dust filter this time.
It gets even worse. The Meshify comes in white now......and I wouldn't be surprised if we get a white Define C before too long either. Nice try Corsair, but you're too little, too late!
Shhhhhhhh...... Fractal fanboys circle-jerking. Move along.
You keep mentioning TG mount, but it looks, based on the Amazon pictures, that the acrylic panel mounts the same way. So removing TG does not solve the mounting issue. You could lay the case on it's side each time you open it up, but you would still loose the rubber grommets. It's amazing how there is always one thing overlooked. Thanks for another great review. Fred looked happy up there.
Why do companies hate drives now? How am I supposed to play movies if nobody has 5.25 drive bays anymore ??
I hate this stupid trend, too. :(
Yup. I use drive bays for auxiliary components designed for them(add-on control panels, liquid cooling reservoirs, even just a temporary loose mount 2.5 spot or cable storage), and it's just getting stupid with how rare they are in modern cases.
Not many people use them. I barely use a CD drive, and when I do I just have an external drive reader
I like your zapping sound effects when describing that Team Night Hawk ram.
This case is just a fractal design define C with a different side on it... corsair are getting lazy
Define C are better imo, thanks to moduvent and i think more airflow at the front .
TimbyTim Gaming is*
Mine, just bought brand new, had thumb screws. The Allen key screws were in the kit. I’m assuming the Allen screws are for case security since it’s kinda unusual to be walking around with the precise Allen key
In addition, airflow is fine. I run an 8700k with a 1070 and there’s enough side opening to pull cool air in under heavy gaming.
Overall I’m quite happy with the case and the quality. It’s also a good understated case that doesn’t scream for attention as most do.
come on Corsair. who the hell wants a case that needs a tool to remove the side panel. i don't even see what's "otherwise perfect" about this case. it brings literally nothing new in features or implementation to the very crowded, very competitive market segment.
Nothing new, just cheaper than the rest.
I did, kids used to unscrew my thumps screw side panel off all the time in my last case and this had solid front so its bit more silent than last one that i had and it was cheap uprgade got it 60€ whit glass.
They ended up fixing this issue in the newer models.
I own this case: The side panel is NOT frustrating to remove, in all the reviews of this case the reviewers take the screws all the way out, then the rubber prices fall out, but you don't do that, just back the screws out a bit, the side panel is free of the case and the screw holds everything together. Also this case is beautiful. With the right build in it.
Just looks like a Meshify C Corsair Edition
But without the important part: the mesh lol
I was thinking more along the likes of the NZXT S340 Elite with rounded corners.
No Meshify C there. Not a bit.
Slightly off topic, but I purchased the Meshify C based on your review and I have to hold the glass panel while mounting it - doesn’t lock in, even with pegs. Plus, what really grinds me, it doesn’t rest flush to case when fully attached. Otherwise, quality review.
just buy a fractal meshify c, better side panel and price..as this is a clear rip off
i actuallt got his case first, the bought the meshify c instead
so happy
my new one came with both thumb and allen screws, also the rubber mount now hold the glass and lines the glass up so the issue is fixed
It needs usb-c
Add that and fix the glass panel and I'm interested. The "bones" of the chassis are about the most you can expect at this price point.
Greatly appreciate the aspect ratio you have in this one
Terrible really! A nice case ruined by the bean counters at corsair. They could have easily charged a couple of dollars more and given it a proper TG mount. No one would mind paying a bit extra for that.
Bought this nearly 2 years ago, the updated version with thumb screws. Still going strong today. Perfect case.
Damn hex screws ruining the entire case.
Hopefully Corsair sees this video, and addresses the issue of the glass side panel mount. I have to say, its a nice case otherwise. Glad to see Corsair actually put a bunch of cable tie points there. I wish they did that with the Carbide 200R and 300R, which are my favorite cases from Corsair. Thank you for the great case review, Dimitri! You're the best!
$69 for the acrylic version :-P
every time i look for a video for a pc case, you're always the first result i get XD...love it! good work!
Where do I put my blu-ray drive and 4x 4tb hdd's?
Josh Hardin You don't, that's not the case for you.
444Lukas444 I'm just kind if frustrated with the case scene these days assuming people want rgb over hard drive bays. And what about ripping my Blu Rays?
Josh Hardin external drive
Not sure about blu-ray... but as for 4x4TB HDD, I put them into NAS )
Dude, this is 2018, everything is digital. RIP your blu rays like i did with my LOTR Trilogy, and get a Qnap 4 bay NAS. Technology waits for no one at all
Dimitry, your videos are a work of art man.
just buy a s340 elite it´s better and looks nearly the same lmao
The cost tho
there are hundreds of screw drivers that cost nothing in the market with THAT 6-side shape. But you have made a great video and thank you for that!
They must have made a new version because mine has thumbscrews and the glass sits in place without them for mounting purposes. I definitely like this case. Back side is a little cramped to fit all your cables though it would be nicer if it was like 5-10 mm wider overall.
Just a thought, but it might be easier to work with the TG side panel if you just lay the case down before opening/closing it.
I just ordered this case. And after this video I am pretty pleased with my choice.
You can mount fans on top as intake and exhaust on the front for better airflow.
You can buy caps to put over the allen key screws to turn them into thumb screws
Thanks for the review. I think the concern around the side panel isn't that big a deal to me. I'd be willing to live with it for all the other nice features of the case.
Best PCIE Cable management I have seen to date. That cable tie holding it to the top of the card looks amazing! That said, for the love of thermodynamics why can't they put slots in the front panel similar to the 750D Air edition?! I would love to see the temperature difference if you kept the fan RPM fixed. My guess is that delta of 5 degrees would double. As always amazing content!
I have this case with the glass and with the acrylic. It's not that bad. I mean it's not perfect, but I guarantee you can't find a case that good for that price period. Also have the SPEC-5 and SPEC-6RGB. On those models they slightly improved the design of the panel mount rubber grommets being part of the case, helping to hold it in place while you tighten the screws. Also they come with the choice of thumbs and flat allen key on all my cases. Maybe you had missing hardware in yours.
I'm actually really considering upgrading to this case. I really like the size and look
Great informative video once again. Thanks.
I don’t understand Corsair releasing a case which is clearly unfinished especially at this price point.
1. If you are going to use this fixing method there should at least be a ridge along the bottom of the case to support the glass.
2. If you’re producing a completely white case don’t make the glass perimeter black!
3. If your going to add led lighting at this price point, make it rgb and at the very least shield the bright LEDs with frosted acrylic.
Sorry Corsair but was this case rushed into production without quality control or test building?
