Watching just put a smile on my face today 😊.....and the comment about feeding time at the zoo ...I just laughed out loud 🤣! The hot dog did look good! Lol. Also, that sunset was so beautiful! What a lovely ship 🚢!
What a fab mini series. Brought back so many memories of my first cruise. The Crows nest was my favourite space onboard. Spent many an hour up there. Also drank rather a lots of Courvoisier & bitter lemon, a drink they were promoting at the time. Just remember little tent cards on every table promoting different drinks made with Courvoisier.
I've been waiting for this one especially your review. We go on Aurora in March next year up to the Arctic Circle, it's my first cruise and I'm quite nervous as I have every blimmin fear imaginable so watching yours, Jamie's & Ken & Lindsey's vlogs help so much. Thank you x
Really enjoyed your blog. We disembarked Aurora on Wednesday after a 16 night cruise to the Baltic. We loved every minute. Fantastic cruise and we had stunning weather. We didn’t have any problems with the toilets apart from one was a bit wiffy by Carmens. Love, love, love Aurora.
Wonderful video shots from Paul with his long stick especially that sensational sunset. Was that a 'custom made' bag that you keep it in - I haven't seen that before. You have left me wanting to book Aurora as it is 10 years since I have been on her. Thank you both for all your hard work to bring such pleasure to your followers.
Hi Paul & Carol, we really enjoyed the Aurora series, such a lovely ship and so nice to see these older ships still about. Love your camera work and that red sunset was stunning. Looking forward to your next adventure. Love Paul & Marie xx 🚢🍹🍻👍
I've just booked Aurora for next year with PFC. This vid was really useful, as your content always is. Thank you! I'm now going back to watch parts 1&2. 🙂
We have had some fantastic cruises on Aurora, and her sister ship Oriana before she left the fleet. As you say she holds a special charm that cannot be matched on the modern ships.
Paul, I did not see the ship's decks looking like aircraft planes falling into information in the back until you mentioned it, it reminds me of the blue angels in the United States that we see every year at the hydroplane races in Seattle. 😊
I see Paul using that extension on the phone to take 360 videos on the cruises, this is awesome, I'd like to get one before my sister and I go on another cruise but I don't know what it's called, I love your videos. ❤❤❤ My favorite couple
Have had 6 cruises on Aurora but none since Covic hit in 2020. It was by far our favourite ship, so much outside seating and we loved the coffee lounge and Medina restaurant for Freedom dining. Hope to go on her again if we can get travel insurance at a decent price as my wife has a few health problems. Glad you enjoyed her to.
We'll be on her in 2 weeks for our cruise to Canada & also booked to cruise on her next oct, so it will be interesting to see what they have done to her.
I am loving your Aurora videos! It looks like the size and style we would love! It does look like she needs a bit of painting and rust removal though, as well as the deck needs a bit of work too.
That Camera thing? extension or summit you know what you used to tack pics at the back of the ship, is fab, and very nice pic too, you would not get from anything else, how do I get one? oh very nice review of ship, been on it twice but it looked a lot better from your point of view?
Great video guys! Aurora remains the only P&O ship we haven't travelled on, but we might try P&O again next year if they don't stop us at the gangway 🤣
As we say in Newfoundland Paul, "You're cracked my son"! You cracked me up when you ate that double lunch my friend! Loved the vlogs on this ship too. She's a beautiful girl for sure! She could use a paint job on the outside though!
I sailed on Aurora for Christmas in 2015 and then while I was on the Norwegian Jade in 2017 aurora was behind us in the North Sea as we sailed back to Southampton. Then again I saw the ship in 2018 on navigator ots. I’m also hopefully seeing the Aurora again in June 2026 in Southampton when we leave for majestic Princess! The ship gets around😅
Hey Paul and Carole, this Aurora series is really fascinating, loved it ❤ Btw being a specialized travel video editor what i noticed thumbnails of your videos could be more catchy and attention grabbing even with a storytelling video editing style your videos could be more engaging for viwers.. I would love to edit your travel videos. Let me know if there is any opportunity.
Love Aurora....is anybody else having severe problems getting to speak to a human being at P&O ?....never known it like it is at the moment...day after day being told they cant take calls, then when you eventually get into a queue its just a wait for hours...when you select the option for a callback it just doesnt happen. Have sailed with P&O dozens of times but never known their customer service like this.
Such a great ship. We use Dan our travel agent so if needed he would do all the ringing for us. Shame you are having so a hard time getting hold of them!
Another great vlog- glad you gave us the insight of the shops-they seem cheaper than the American ships. On another subject- I'm a big fan of Thatcher's Cider and like Paul, i love the 'Gold' but i JUST prefer the Thatchers Haze. Does Paul like Haze too?
@@PaulandCaroleLovetoTravel Haven't tried the Apple and Blackberry yet but i'm sure to soon. Thatchers is a great company and i'm so glad P&O sell at least one variety as we will be going on our first P&O cruise in a few days over 12 months and we can't wait! 🙂
I've got a memory of an atrium water feature on Oriana and or Oceana, but Chris Frame does mention Aurora as having one 3 years ago th-cam.com/video/V9TaoDy7Acs/w-d-xo.htmlsi=pIK9rPdJcDAzxO1b But working or not, beautiful atrium and ship. Sorry it just triggered those memories 😊

Wow, that aft terraced deck & full size swimming pool take the cake! That's how a cruise ship is supposed to be done. Future ship designers take note!
Exactly it was fabulous!
Another great series of vlogs we sailed on Aurora in March for the first time and liked her so much we booked for 18 nights next year.
Thanks! Can see why you have rebooked such a great ship!
Watching just put a smile on my face today 😊.....and the comment about feeding time at the zoo ...I just laughed out loud 🤣! The hot dog did look good! Lol. Also, that sunset was so beautiful! What a lovely ship 🚢!

It’s a great ship, so glad you had a good time
I love small classic ships. I'm going to try and get on this ship before she goes into dry dock.
She is a great ship!
It was the first cruise ship we sailed on. I loved it, other ships don’t cut the mustard. The staff were amazing
It is a great ship!

Our friend Kate who made my travel bag made it for Paul, it works really well!
Thanks we do love the 360 shots. Aurora is such a great ship!

Thanks so much! These older ships have so much charm, glad it is still going too!
So many happy memories on the Aurora, our favorite ship, hope they build another one. Great video, thanks. ❤
She us a great ship!
Your vlog series has really put us in the mood to look at cruises on Aurora
Great ship, definitely recommend!

Thanks! Yes they are!
We have had some fantastic cruises on Aurora, and her sister ship Oriana before she left the fleet. As you say she holds a special charm that cannot be matched on the modern ships.
Agree it can not be met! Fab ship!

You do make me giggle 🤭 still love that prom deck, I miss the old steamer chairs, fabulous sunset too!
Lol thanks! It is a fabulous prom deck!
Great review, would love to sail on her, rust or not. Would pack a freshener block for the bathroom. 😅
Lol good plan! 🤣🤣
Aurora is having a refit in April, so hopefully the toilet issues will be sorted. Appologies if this has already be posted
Yes hopefully!

Love the way you attacked your lunch Pauly. 😀🚢
Lol it was messy! 🙈🤣
We'll be on her in 2 weeks for our cruise to Canada & also booked to cruise on her next oct, so it will be interesting to see what they have done to her.
It will be interesting! Have a fabulous time!
Due for a massive refit in April ….so just wait to see it after..ready for the next five years.
Yes will be interesting to see what it is like after that!
I dont like ocean cruises although I am looking forward to taking a European river cruise. But i do love watching you two!
Thanks for watching! We love both!
I am loving your Aurora videos! It looks like the size and style we would love! It does look like she needs a bit of painting and rust removal though, as well as the deck needs a bit of work too.
Yes she does need a bit of love!
Most ports will not allow painting
Aurora is due a refurb next May so sure they will do a lot then!
@@PaulandCaroleLovetoTravel I know I’ll be working on her then
Oh cool keep us posted

I’m sure you will be ok 👍 it’s definitely our favourite P&O ship so far,
My Niece has two daughters Aurora and Oriana! She worked on Cruise 🚢 Ships
Oh cool

Sail on aurora to the Mediterranean I had a wonderful time on the back of the ship sunbathing 😊
The perfect spot!

My goodness, that Captain should come with sub titles! 😂
🤣🤣
Oh, the ships exterior really does need to be taken down to the base layer and have a full repaint 😳
Yes could do with a touch up!
Love P&O lido food ❤
We were very impressed 😄😄
Lovely ship!, how were the tea towels ?
A great ship with excellent tea towels 🤣🤣
