I was sailing solo around New Zealand when the cabin became quite warm and I stupidly decided to leave the balcony door open while having a shower. When I finished my shower I went into the cabin in my underwear to find a seagul feasting on my breakfast scraps. The seagul and I were both terrified and while the seagul flapped madly around the cabin I managed to open the door to the hallway with super strength. The door slammed behind me, leaving me standing in the hallway wearing nothing but my underpants and a look of extreme embarrassment on my face. I had no key with me and the cabin attendant let me in after about 10 minutes. The cabin was a complete mess but the attendant took great joy in cleaning it and the cruise director took greater joy relating the story to the audience in the theatre that night 😢

Just to mention, I would never suggest anyone not use the safe in a cabin or a hotel room, but please remember that many staff on board and in hotels have access (in case items are left behind or a guest forgets their code), so while it is safe from casual passersby, you are not the only one who can open it.
Good point! That said, you’re much safer using the safe than hiding your valuables somewhere in the room, I’d say. Thanks for watching and commenting! 😊
Came here to say the same thing. Was cruising with my Aunt and she forgot her code. They got the safe open in seconds with an override code. For people worried about forgetting things in the safe, I put a big note in my suitcase that says EMPTY SAFE that i see when i start packing to leave, and I do it right then, I don't wait till the next morning. Some people say 'leave a shoe that you will wear when you disembark' in the safe so you don't forget, but i don't have spare shoes, though I am sure that works too.

Great advice. I love the dos and don’ts videos. Solid info. The thought of climbing on the balcony railing, or any railing for that matter, sends a chill up my spine.

Ahh, wonderful - welcome to the cruise world, and thanks so much for trusting me enough to share my advice with you! I’ve got loads more to come - watch this space!! 😊
@@FraserAtSea New viewer here too. Do you live in Scotland 🏴? You are very enjoyable to watch & listen too. Even though we are well ‘seasoned’ cruisers I always like learning something new… or get a reminder of things I may have forgotten.
I agree about shutting off lights, but as a sailor who has encountered cruise ships. They are lit up brighter than the shore. MUCH brighter. The light in your cabin is a tiny drop in the light use
Listen carefully to instructions, like lifeboat drill. I was on a med cruise with predominantly italian guests. People were told in both italian and english to familiarise themselves with their assigned station, then on the signal make your way there. Do not put your life jacket on and do not use the lift. Well, just about everyone rushed to their room, put on a life jacket ( those massive polystyrene jobs) and tried to go down the same staircase. They all got jammed. It was hilarious.
Oh no - I’m not sure I would’ve been able to control myself seeing that if they were all jammed together 😂 Thanks for making me smile reading this, hahaha!
We were told to hold the life jackets. We used the elevators. We still held in the jackets. We lined up as we were directed, and THEN told to put them on. We were instructed to take them off, and were dismissed to go eat or back to our room, wherever, but take the jackets. We did as directed. Upon reaching our room, put the jackets back in their storage place. Of course, it was understood, in the event if a real emergency, wait until we get to the muster station to put these jackets on! There were people who at the practice drill forgot to get their jackets. There were people who were only using the stairs. Well, it was practice.
@@FraserAtSea Have you ever seen 50 or so italians jammed in a stair well trying to gesticulate and shove past each other with their arms pinned. I was dying. It was like that ‘it’s a knockout’ tv show. And the poor little philippino staff trying to separate them……….
Last year while on a cruise, we were blowing up balloons for my grandson‘s birthday. We had the balcony opened while the cruise ship was moving not realizing my daughter was coming in all the balloons went out the balcony we were screaming, but we couldn’t hold them, so yes, you should keep that balcony door closed at all times, especially if a bat can come in.
Ha, the thought of this really made me laugh - I bet that moment was complete chaos in your cabin 😂 Thanks a lot for watching, and thanks for leaving this comment - you’ve brightened up my day! Haha
You mention magnets. I used 4 magnet hooks and a piece of sting to make an additional washing line. It takes 4 hooks because the magnets will slide, so one on each opposite wall and two on the ceiling. String between the walls and it is done. Use the shower line for things which are dripping, then transfer to the cabin when just damp. This frees up the shower for use.
This is such a great idea - I’ve heard a few people mention doing this. I don’t have a huge amount of clothes to dry, but I usually cruise solo. I’m sure this must be SO useful for families! Thanks so much for watching!
If you have the towel bands that go around lounge chairs that hold your towel in place, they are great to hold clothes in place on your balcony chairs - they hold them in place very well. Use the thicker bands, they are more solid and strong.
There’s a new trend where you don’t request fresh towels every day. We don’t replace towels every day at home, so it makes sense. We also make the beds at home, so we do the same in our cabin. We put all trash in the trash cans, all shoes and clothing in the closet or hook, clean off the toothpaste off the sink basin, tidy up the bathroom ourselves. It’s not that hard or long. Those housekeepers have so many rooms to do!we know they appreciate it. They still empty the wastebaskets, turn own the beds, give the towel origami treatment.
9:18 Something seminar happening to me. Every morning I went out on the balcony first thing every morning. There was a crane with its control cabin on the same level.
I’ve seen people use regular scotch tape on their cabin door exterior. Wasn’t a lot, just, taped up a latex balloon. We decided to put a birthday card as an identification for our cabin. It was our cabin mate’s birthday. We used like 2 small pieces. It stayed there the entire week. Didn’t get any complaints or warnings. We were able to use our fingernails to scrape the tape off the day our debarkation. All like nothing was there. Just use your polite discretion, fellow cruisers.
Hey! Thanks for watching, and thanks for also taking the time to leave this message! That’s a fair point - sadly, I’ve seen it where polite discretion hasn’t been exercised, haha! Thanks again, and happy cruising!!
Leave one of your disembarkation shoes in the safe the night before you disembark. That way you always need to open the safe that last morning and get all your valuables (and your shoe).
Hi James, thanks a lot for messaging on this one! I’ve also heard this before, and it made me smile - I can imagine walking down the gangway with just one shoe on, haha!
On a trip to NZ we left our balcony door open one night to be greeted by a huge seabird in our cabin, took a fair bit of fuss to get it back out too. Lesson learned.
Ty for your content, it makes total sense. Ty also for speaking so clearly. Your accent is thick but I could understand every word. Look forward to more useful information.
You are doing a great job Fraser. And very good advice. However though I dislike smoking , I cannot resist pointing out that it wasn’t smoking that sank the Titanic!
please, please, please- don't slam the cabin door!!!! it is VERY loud to the room next to you. Instead of just letting it close behind you, Hold the handle and close it gently...same for the drawers, etc in the cabin. Just please be mindful that you are not the only person on the ship. I am currently on the Majestic Princess and I have Never experienced such rude/oblivious passengers and I have spent over 200 days over the years cruising. Just be considerate!! thanks 😊
Oh, the door slamming is such a great point to add! I’ve been on cruises where everybody slammed the door, and it would keep waking me up - so annoying! Thanks a lot for watching! 😊
Thank you for mentioning this. I had the same experience last month on an NCL cruise. Constant door slamming from our oblivious neighbours. Fortunately I had earplugs packed, otherwise I wouldn’t have been able to sleep through it.
17:44 another reason not to leave the balcony door open: the wind tunnel effect may cause the balcony door to very forcefully slam shut (hard enough to cause injury) when the cabin door opens.
Hate to tell you, but you are not the only person on the ship who can open the safe in your room. They can open the safe very easily. You'll be surprised how many people forget the pass code they used and need a cruise ship member to open their safe. All safes have a backup way to open the safe in case someone forgets their code.
Ahh, this is interesting. I guess I knew someone else COULD open it, but your belongings are far safer in there than lying on the desk 😂 Hopefully that makes sense!
I had two occasions where the safe was failing. In both cases a member from security came with the cabin attendant. The first one had an electronic device that took some steps to open the safe. They asked us to reset it and it still failed. On the next test she was listening better and the first digit was not working right. She told us to just move it to not the first number. That fixed it. I was impressed she knew the system well enough that it was that obvious to her. For the second, it took over 35 minutes to find a person to unlock the safe. They were separate brands, and I’m impressed that the security seemed so conscientious!
@Reed-2big Some safes are pretty easy to open. Most hotel room safes are very easy. It just requires a combination of key presses, and they open. You can find those by searching here on TH-cam for the particular safe brand. I usually do that every time I check into a hotel room. Last time I was on cruise, when I checked TH-cam, that particular safe required an electronic key, not just a code. It looked like it was a more modern and secure safe.
Happy New Year, Fraser! 🎊 I have not been around in awhile and just wanted to say hello and wish you all the best in 2025. Good stuff here. It's crazy to think that people would have a need to decorate their cabins or that they'd need to be told, what should be common sense, not to light candles.
Hi Tammy, thanks a lot for watching! I too, wish that everyone would follow the rules - some of them are just so simple for people to simply not listen…!
If you have a veranda and that door is open, it will cause a suction with your main cabin door if it is open at the same time causing the main door to slam shut. One passenger lost two fingers the first day of the cruise and it ruined the vacation for the entire family.
I was on the MSC Virtuosa and the cabin next door kept smoking on the balcony. It was August and we had the balcony door open at night just a little every morning 7 am his smoke pulled straight in tom the cabin and woke us up. His ash was blowing on the balcony floor meaning I had to have slippers on. MSC was very slow to be honest to take action, After 5 days of complaints her finally stopped after MSC telling him he would be offloaded. But then the last 2 days was sea days and he started again. After months of moaning MSC compensated me. Discount on next cruise. I did think MSC did not act quick enough even with video and picture evidence.
Ahh, that’s a shame. In my experience, cruise lines are usually really strict with balcony smokers - sorry to hear they weren’t this time around. Hope your next one is smoke free, and you get a good discount using that voucher…!!
@FraserAtSea, I have had a safe fail on me once, in a hotel, with my passport in it, so the safes make me a touch nervous. On the sound, I do typically keep a guitar with me, but I always practice using a phone/iPad app or record direct. The final point I would make about climbing on railings that people don’t think about is the propellers underneath the ship can easily pull someone in, who falls off into the water, and essentially mangle them so badly they turn into shark chum. It really isn’t worth it to get a photo, and I would imagine that would be a painful death.
I totally agree about the railings - just enjoy your cruise relaxing onboard - much more pleasant! Ahh, that safe scenario stresses me out just thinking about it - hope you got it out okay and on time! Thanks a lot for watching, and thanks for taking the time to leave a comment! 😊
@FraserAtSea, it was the last day of a business trip to Colombia, when I was a travel agent, but I immediately got someone up to the room because I didn’t have time to waste. They ended up having to drill out the lock. For some reason the computer lock had failed.
@ we have managed to set the smoke alarm off before, oops! There were 4 of us sharing a very compact inside cabin for a weekend cruise and the vapours from our aerosols when we were getting ready earned us a phone call from the bridge 😳
Great video, you cover most of the same points I did in a similar video that I published late last year. I'm sure its a coincidence since mine is a teeny baby channel! I was on Norwegian Prima in November and using my hot hair dryer brush. It was creating heaps of steam from my wet hair and I was sitting at the desk/dressing table in the main part of the cabin. The smoke alarm went off! We had a call from the bridge asking what was happening then a security officer came to check things out and turn off the alarm. How embarrassing!
Hello! Don’t worry - there are quite a number of videos on this topic - I haven’t pasted from your channel! Thanks for this comment - a good example of something unexpected activating the alarms - that must have been so annoying 😂 😞
@ oh no! I was only joking about my video! I really enjoyed watching yours and you did cover things I missed. Also, your year of cruising was LIFE GOALS ❤️❤️❤️
This happened to me as well! I was using a curling iron at the vanity/desk in the cabin and the smoke alarm went off. Phone call then visit by security. I was soooo embarrassed!
@@ChristiW26 I know right? And I was saying to my husband, surely this must happen all the time when people are drying their hair! The security person had to rush off to another alarm straight away so I suspect that I wasn't the only one, which made me feel a bit less embarrassed :)
I've been on a total of 1 cruise and the highlight was when maintenance showed up at a room further down the hallway and started yelling at the guest pretty much immediately; "what's wrong with you! Why would you do that!". She only screamed back angrily in her own language. Never did find out what pissed that worker off so bad. Still want to know.
Yeah I cant leave anything worth stealing in my room doesnt matter where I travel. My wallet, passport, phone, etc. very important items like that go everywhere with me either in my purse or mini backpack. I carry those around all day and never left behind. Too many safe break-in horror stories
Smoking yes its a safety hazard, but if you smoke in your room, the smell will be there forever. Even if you had a smomng seaction of cabins, the nin smoking section will also smell not as strong but noticable to non smokers.
Yeah, I totally agree - it would be SO difficult for them to get rid of the smell. Imagine a cabin that smells like the onboard smoke-friendly casinos…
FYI there are override unlock codes for those digital safes and sometimes keys. Anyone who has knowledge about these cheap safes can get into them. Does the cruise line do a background check on their staff ? Note, Russian Oligarchs, avoid cruise lines, too many of you have fallen off balconies in the past. Cruise lines don’t need the headaches, someday you’ll get you yachts back……
We were on an Alaskan cruise on Celebrity Cruises…NEVER AGAIN. We had an attempt to get into our room from an ajoining cabin while in our cabin! They were banging on the door! We called the Purser and they came and the police were called and when we left and then came back there was a yellow tape across their door. They were thrown off the ship when a ton of drugs were found in their room !!! They were trying to get into our room to rob us. We also had toenail clippings on the carpet, in the bathroom there was hair, men’s dirty underwear in the closet and dirty champagne glasses in the hidden shelves. It was disgusting. It took them three hours to clean the room. We wanted another room but they denied o it. We will never go on this cruise line ever again. They also had an X rated video for sale of one of the entertainment shows, a magician. The show was great the video which we bought for our grandchild was not, filled with half naked women which were not a part of the show. It was basically an advertisement for his magic shows!!! Took it back obviously. Celebrity SUCKS BIG TIME.
Oh no, it sounds like you’ve had a terrible experience here. I would say that I’ve cruised Celebrity, and didn’t have anything like this going on. I’d like to say that was 100% just a one off, and it sounds like a guest who won’t be invited back! Sorry to hear you had to put up with that experience! 😔
More great tips coming from a delightful Scottish lad. Thank you, Fraser! I've always travelled with a small empty spray bottle, then filled it up with water to spray the wrinkles out of my clothes, shaking them on the hangar and manually adjusting any problem areas, as I hang them up. Works a treat, but it's also a good idea to pack wrinkle-resistant clothing when possible. Will try to remember your last tip when I board my cruise next month! 😅
Hello! Thanks so much for your support - so happy to read that you enjoyed this one! I use crease releaser that I buy from the supermarket - it’s amazing how well that stuff can work, isn’t it?! Thanks for watching!
This video really cracked me up…. All good points of course but some of your comments made me laugh…. The one about the whale wearing your shirt!!!! You do make me giggle
I don’t know what ships you’ve been on recently, but on the last ones we’ve been on our room attendant did not start work before 8 am , somtime even later .
I'm all for saving electricity, but the ship itself is always lit up. Light pollution exists even on a cruise ship. Turning off one's cabin lights does nothing to help see the stars when the ship itself is a light machine on steroids.
And what is the excuse as to why vapes can’t be used in your room? They don’t pose a Fire risk/danger at all!! I’m almost completely done with cruising at this point!! And I’m the retirement age group that usually spends the most on cruises!!
@ they still have the right to confiscate if deemed faulty or found left plugged in but have actually stated on their sites that they are allowed. Loving your channel even as an experienced cruiser and it must be invaluable to new cruisers.
Decorations, really? Most cruisers need to fly to the port of departure and back from the port of destination. There's hardly enough luggage capacity for what I need, let alone frivalities like decorations!
Ha, yes! It always surprises me how many people decorate their cabin. You sound like me - lucky to squeeze in all the socks I need for the week, never mind decor 😂
@FraserAtSea yep... I should have added I enjoyed the clip... I like watching the cruising channels (even though I have absolutely no intention of doing one myself) but there are so many 'make sure you' clips on youtube... I get the feeling I'd walk onto a ship and freeze thinking what do I do, where do I go first, etc etc.. I hate feeling uncomfortable, jot knowing what to do , how to act or where to go... I'm not great at travelling 😔
@@FraserAtSea well, clearly it is not a useful one... remember what you added right after it? about your own personal preferences? so if somebody prefers those lights to be on, they shouldn't do it, because YOU want them on? hehehehe how about stick to your OWN cabin, bob.
You need to remember that you are not king of the ship. I personally don’t care if my little light on my balcony bothers you at all. Some people have very bad eyesight, therefore having a light on the balcony will help them navigate at night, without having to have the whole cabin lights on!! Go find a dark spot on the ship. 😢
most of these things you mention should be and would be taken care by the cabin steward ..like light, use your common sense or just read the list given to guide as guide lines from the shipping Co ....most of the behaviours you mention are what you would expect not to happen in this type of enviroment ... all in all there is nothing here that i would be ashamed of over all but also would consider to be expected by the Co , the Ship, the staff and other pax .... this is not very helpful direction from you in essence you deem to be treating most pax as some sort of idiots...smarten up
Hi Richard, I’m absolutely not treating passengers negatively in this video. As you can see in the comments, many have found this video useful. Thanks for watching, and for taking the time to leave a comment.
That is an incredibly selfish choice for multiple reasons. You ruin the air for all the balconies around you. And it is against the rules! And quite dumb!

@@arbonneladyTN Thanks a lot! I grew up in Scotland, but now live in England - only a 4 hour drive from the border, so still pretty close!
I agree about shutting off lights, but as a sailor who has encountered cruise ships. They are lit up brighter than the shore. MUCH brighter. The light in your cabin is a tiny drop in the light use
Hello! 😊 I do agree generally, but if 2,000 is f the cabins did little things to help, it really would make a difference!
Thanks a lot for watching!
@ 😂 😂 😂
Last year while on a cruise, we were blowing up balloons for my grandson‘s birthday. We had the balcony opened while the cruise ship was moving not realizing my daughter was coming in all the balloons went out the balcony we were screaming, but we couldn’t hold them, so yes, you should keep that balcony door closed at all times, especially if a bat can come in.
Ha, the thought of this really made me laugh - I bet that moment was complete chaos in your cabin 😂 Thanks a lot for watching, and thanks for leaving this comment - you’ve brightened up my day! Haha
I've cruised a lot over the years, every cruise I learn something, thanks for your advice, very useful ❤
Thanks a lot for watching, Jo. Glad you found the video useful! 😊
@ this is a decent shout!
Some people also hang clothes lines in their cabins and put large towels and/or blankets on them to make cabin dividers.
@ you’re totally right! 😊
Yeah, I bet your cabin attendants must love you. I totally agree - the little things passengers can do to help go a really long way! 😊
9:18 Something seminar happening to me. Every morning I went out on the balcony first thing every morning. There was a crane with its control cabin on the same level.
I once came out of the bathroom stark naked to find the tender with a man in it going up past our window!! I don't know who was more shocked!
Ahh, that’s funny! Thanks for watching!!
Oh my goodness - I think I’d die if I found a sea bird in my cabin - I can’t even THINK about that, haha!
@ let’s just say, romping around in our next to nothings trying to heard this flapping thing out the door was a sight for sore eyes 🤣🤣🤣☺️
Ty for your content, it makes total sense. Ty also for speaking so clearly. Your accent is thick but I could understand every word. Look forward to more useful information.
Ahh, thanks so much for watching! I get mixed reviews on my accent, so I’m really glad you were able to understand fully. Thanks again!!
Security has access to the safe but yes we do always use it.
Glad to hear you religiously use it too! Thanks for watching, Mike!
You are doing a great job Fraser. And very good advice. However though I dislike smoking , I cannot resist pointing out that it wasn’t smoking that sank the Titanic!
Thanks a lot for watching! You’re right - the titanic had other problems…!!
please, please, please- don't slam the cabin door!!!! it is VERY loud to the room next to you.
Yep, I'm currently on RRCL Mariner of the Seas and the number of people slamming doors and stomping around is just astounding.
17:44 another reason not to leave the balcony door open: the wind tunnel effect may cause the balcony door to very forcefully slam shut (hard enough to cause injury) when the cabin door opens.
You’re totally correct, and a bad injury too!
Great tips! 😊
Thaaaaanks! 😊
Great video Fraser ❤❤ your stated Many different things that most other video creaters do not cover ❤❤
Ahh, thanks a lot - great to hear you found useful. Thank YOU for watching!!
@ I certainly trust hotel safes. But yes I saw the electronic key! And yes she still needed a code too, but I think that was used from the key.
So what's the point?
Thank you Fraser for so much sensible info.
Thanks a lot for watching, Hazel!
No heating pads either.
Pretty common sense, but you also made it funny! Thanks for the tips 🙂

Good suggestions. They make sense.
Thanks for watching! 😊
Happy New Year, Fraser! 🎊 I have not been around in awhile and just wanted to say hello and wish you all the best in 2025.
Good stuff here. It's crazy to think that people would have a need to decorate their cabins or that they'd need to be told, what should be common sense, not to light candles.

Do not sit bear ass on couch or furniture in room.

Great information Fraser 😻
Thanks a lot for watching, Christine!
@ 👍
If you have a veranda and that door is open, it will cause a suction with your main cabin door if it is open at the same time causing the main door to slam shut.
One passenger lost two fingers the first day of the cruise and it ruined the vacation for the entire family.
This is a really good point - thanks for adding this, and thanks for watching!!
A hair straightener (flat iron) can help to touch up dewrinkling cuffs, hems and trouser creases.
Ahh, I didn’t know this - great addition. Thanks for this!!
@@FraserAtSea Frazier, with as short of hair as you are sporting do you think that security will believe you need a flatiron? 😂😂😂
Thank you, Fraser ❤

@@bradleyolinger1691 oh wow - I’m glad they got it for you!

Some really useful advice, we had to check we’re not guilty of these!
Thanks for watching! 😃 Did you fall foul to any? 😂
@ we have managed to set the smoke alarm off before, oops! There were 4 of us sharing a very compact inside cabin for a weekend cruise and the vapours from our aerosols when we were getting ready earned us a phone call from the bridge 😳
Great tips! Some I have never even thought of my Scottish friend. Love from Lisa Green Lopez Melbourne Xx
Hey Lisa, thanks for watching - glad you enjoyed!! 😊
with any cabin with a window close your curtains before starting a shower.
This is another good point - similar to my point about the view changing… Thanks for this!
“Walls” on ships are called bulkheads. 😊
😊
Not on cruise ships.
I put valuables into my locked luggage. Money and jewelery. Passports I put into the safe.
Great tip - thanks for adding this!!
Oh, really? I wonder what they did - I also dread to think 😂 Thanks a lot for your support by watching this video - it’s very much appreciated!

Port or starboard? If you like sitting in the sun on your balcony on a sea day, check the ship’s itinerary and choose the west side.
GREAT point! This was so true on my Alaska cruise, and also my Transatlantic - thanks for this!!
Never throw ANYTHING off the balcony or any where else on the ship.
Very good point - couldn’t agree more!!
Cruise lines don’t need the headaches, someday you’ll get you yachts back……
I’d imagine checks are completed on all staff members 😊
The lights go off when you leave the room once your card is removed.
You’re right, unless you leave another card in there, or have 2 room keys so don’t remove the card!
Let's all cruise in the dark. For the planet.
Ha, that’s made me laugh 😂
Margaritaville is not magnetic.. Great all of that didn't work near the windows didn't work on the door didn't work in the bathroom.. Just FYI
Oh, that’s such a shame! It worked for me on Margaritaville Paradise!
#8 Hey. Some folks like to put on a show 🤷🏼That’s what I’ll always assume. And if your surroundings provide a better view, why watch?
Ha, this made me laugh 😂

@ ahh, thanks a lot! 😃
I don’t know what ships you’ve been on recently, but on the last ones we’ve been on our room attendant did not start work before 8 am , somtime even later .
Oh, really? That’s interesting! I generally find them buzzing around early!
I'm all for saving electricity, but the ship itself is always lit up. Light pollution exists even on a cruise ship. Turning off one's cabin lights does nothing to help see the stars when the ship itself is a light machine on steroids.
This might be true, but it does help!
I like your accent
Thanks so much! 🏴
@ I’ve never been on a cruise,. . .
Incense might also be banned.
I’d imagine it would be - that would make those smoke alarms go craaaazy! 😂
HAL ships don't have metal walls
When I cruised Rotterdam a few months ago, she did! 😊
If it has wooden walls, then its a boat 😊
Noordam has metal walls.
And what is the excuse as to why vapes can’t be used in your room? They don’t pose a Fire risk/danger at all!! I’m almost completely done with cruising at this point!! And I’m the retirement age group that usually spends the most on cruises!!
One to ask the cruise line, perhaps!
I would imagine the sickly sweet vape smell would cling to soft furnishings and be obvious to the next guest who may not enjoy it.
Marella do allow travel irons and steamers
Oh, that’s good! Not all cruise lines do - always best to check!
@ they still have the right to confiscate if deemed faulty or found left plugged in but have actually stated on their sites that they are allowed. Loving your channel even as an experienced cruiser and it must be invaluable to new cruisers.
It’s not that complicated to actually put out your cigarette and make sure that it is completely out and safe!!
You’d think that, but then fires have started as a result of cigarettes not being put out fully!
All Common Sense Issues. Thanks 🙏
Thanks for watching!
With so many THINGS NOT TO DO! Why go cruising with thousands of others??
Oh, it’s a wonderful way to see the world! 😊
This is another reason I'll never cruise....so many do this, dont do that things, so many clips stating things like this, its all too much.
Don’t worry - it’s just tips and advice to help you enjoy it to the full. It’s all easy! 😊
I'm not great at travelling 😔
lights? in the last 10 years we went from 100w to 10w lightbulbs. f off with this scam.
Not a scam - just some advice 😊
@@FraserAtSea well, clearly it is not a useful one... remember what you added right after it? about your own personal preferences? so if somebody prefers those lights to be on, they shouldn't do it, because YOU want them on? hehehehe how about stick to your OWN cabin, bob.
@ 😂 💁🏻
😊
All common sense points, mate.
Thanks, John!
You need to remember that you are not king of the ship. I personally don’t care if my little light on my balcony bothers you at all. Some people have very bad eyesight, therefore having a light on the balcony will help them navigate at night, without having to have the whole cabin lights on!! Go find a dark spot on the ship. 😢
Hey! I didn’t at any point say I was the king of the ship - just a little point about a light. Thanks for watching - I appreciate your view, too.
Your accent is extreme
Ha, thaaaaaanks? 😊 🏴
What a waste of a video. Either common sense or you will find all this info in your cruise catalogue.
Oh no, sorry you thought so. Thanks for watching anyway - I’m glad lots of the comments have found it useful!

Thanks for watching - no need to be nasty 😊 🏴
most of these things you mention should be and would be taken care by the cabin steward ..like light, use your common sense or just read the list given to guide as guide lines from the shipping Co ....most of the behaviours you mention are what you would expect not to happen in this type of enviroment ... all in all there is nothing here that i would be ashamed of over all but also would consider to be expected by the Co , the Ship, the staff and other pax .... this is not very helpful direction from you in essence you deem to be treating most pax as some sort of idiots...smarten up
Hi Richard, I’m absolutely not treating passengers negatively in this video. As you can see in the comments, many have found this video useful. Thanks for watching, and for taking the time to leave a comment.
We’re not all dumb. Most of us know price Harry was being used. We cruise annually and smoke on our balcony every time. We use an ashtray…
Thanks for watching! I guess it’s banned out there because not everyone is as careful.
And if I get your smoke into my space, I'm gonna call security. Don't. Smoke. On. Balconies. It's unsafe and it's RUDE.
You make it so no one around you can enjoy their balcony. Selfish.
That is an incredibly selfish choice for multiple reasons. You ruin the air for all the balconies around you. And it is against the rules! And quite dumb!
I'm sure your neighbours do not enjoy you smoking. Have some consideration!!!!!
