These videos convinced me of 2 things. One is that These Chinese farmers Are mean to their animals And this Ferrier Is Unwilling to change his methods even though modern tools are available

Here we call that a hack job. I can always tell the hacks because the horse recoils in pain. Start with correct tools. Obviously an impoverished area best they can do. Hope horse survived
Yep. Hoof is still wildly deformed and ill-balanced, but I suppose this is the best they can do with what they have. I have never seen a frog so far back from the quarters in my life

6th September, 2024: Farriers with basic ("western") knowledge do not exist overthere. I have not watched this video to the end, but this is unnecessary because I have been watching this type of videos over half a year or more. And I have given the web-addresses of two German mail-order houses (for horse-owners) although I do not know whether business (private) relations are possible from Europe to CHINA (?) and although I am afraid that the people from the east are not able to use the translation function of their computers.
I would love to see tradesmen from different cultures coming together and compare the very different styles of hoof trimming and hoof treatment, as all these tradesmen are also skilled blacksmiths I can only imagine what kind of hybrid tools that might be created when worlds collide!
If they wanted to they could come together here and discuss on TH-cam advantages and disadvantages of their methods and their tools, but probably they don`t. " .....as all these tradesmen are also skilled blacksmiths.....": I can`t imagine that this is the case for example in the Far East as well because the trimmers of the poor donkeys ("overgrown hooves - donkeys") don`t use all the tools which are (in my opinion/Germany) necessary for proper trimming. I don`t think that in those eastern countries schools for blacksmiths could exist who teach these old-fashioned, rough, mediaeval and noxious methods we see in the videos. And I don`t know why there is all this old and poisonous dirt (stable manure?): When "my" hoof-experts had begun working all the ground was properly cleaned before. And when one of my ponies had been ill I never asked my hoof-experts for treatment - of course, the vet came!!!

В результате у лошади развилась неправильная осанка, она лежала, как собака, вместо того чтобы стоять.... Русские ковали гораздо лучше и гуманнее относятся к лошади, не вяжут ей ноги, не стучат молотками по копыту, как по деревяшке.... Русские ковали в процессе ковки дают лошади возможность отдохнуть, переступить с ноги на ноги, перенести на кованную ногу свой вес. А удары молотком направляют не в кости лошадям, травмируя ей копыто и суставы, а себе в ноги, поэтому куют аккуратнее... А ЮВА и Польша, куют так как будто у них не лошадь, а деревянное полено, - колоти молотком сколько влезет.... Такую же аккуратную манеру ковки как у русских, (копыто у коваля в коленях), я видел у "реднеков" США. Они тоже любят и берегут лошадей...

Your doing pretty good with what you have. I watch other channels , they have all this fancy stuff the newest models of everything. You have a hammer a bar of metal and a wicked looking blade and that’s all you need to do the same job. The goal is to let the animal walk without pain. Good Job👍🏻
У лошадей нет когтей. У них копыта. Их нужно регулярно расчищать. Для это нужен хороший навык и специальные инструменты. Дошёл до "белой линии"- глубже нельзя, под ней сосуды. Кровотечение может быть очень сильным. Рану нужно сразу обработать, чтобы не было инфекции. Стрелку так и не сформировал, не та квалификация. Таким нужно искать настоящего коваля, чтобы всё было сделано грамотно.

@@randlewhitney6560 I agree, the guy does need to learn the proper and humane way to shoe a horse or donkey; but it's the owner at fault for not getting a trim and reset more often. Normal trimming is usually 4 to 8 weeks depending how fast the hoof grows. This horse's hoof is so long he didn't trim short enough for the frog to touch the ground. To trim it down to the proper length would probably have made him sore. That horse should be trimmed again every three to four weeks to get the hoof back to normal. Which unfortunately won't happen.

Me too - and in China the greenhorn-trimmers are obviously not used to treat the frog/to remove the rotten horn. I suppose that schools for farriers don`t exist in that country, all the donkeys shown in the YT-videos have extremely overgrown hooves. The people trim the hooves by means of gardening tools and huge "knives" which are similar to a shovel. And they all seem to hate these donkeys - they treat them harshly. In these videos, unless they’ve gone to Ferrier school in the US. none of them are taking off enough soul off of the hoof. They’re leaving at least 1 to 2 inches more than as necessary. Even though donkeys and meals need to have a little more hoof and horses do they only need 1 inch extra.

The issue is cultural. They are extremely crude and cruel. They have not culturally developed any sense of affection and love for animals.

I can`t agree with you more!!!!! After having kept ponies for many years, I recommend to trim (or shoe) hooves 6 times a year.

不完全是，干活的驴马是会经常修，不干活的就不怎么修。特别是肉用的，除非脚疼的影响进食长肉了，才会修。农民收入并不高，虽然全面小康了，但很多农民的收入刚过线，与其担心动物福利，不如先担心人的福利吧。
这是一个马车和马匹的问题：人类福利是否会促进动物福利，或者反之亦然。虐待或忽视动物通常与虐待和忽视人同时发生。这些不是单独的问题，而是同一问题的一部分。我们应该促进双方的福祉。

所以一般這種踩到釘子情況是較為少見的

而遇上這種情況
都只能靠馬隻自身免疫及釘子是否能拔出
來決定後續的病情發展

That horse has a terrible case of Thrush. It has eaten away the Frog and heels. Needs some copper sulfate. A shoe isn't going to fix anything.

Это не лошадь,это помесь лошади с ослом.Но суть в другом.Надо вовремя перековывать и следить за копытами животных.Крючковать каждый день,то есть крючком выбирать из стрелок всякий грунт и мусор.А здесь эксплуатируют животное и не следят за копытами постоянно.Оттого и хромота.
