She’s only 16 this is actually her first project. Before this she had never acted on tv or recorded professionally which is so cool.
She's also 100% self taught which to me is amazing

Fun Fact: yes they pre-recorded the songs, but they were actually singing and playing their instruments when they filmed the show. There’s even a guitar riff in one of the songs that isn’t in the soundtrack bc they decided to add it after the soundtrack was recorded.

Fun fact: she actually taught herself how to sing instead of paying for a vocal coach and this was her first time ever on a project and in a studio she is very talented and is only 16 years old
If you are confused about a few things- the younger boy is Julies brother, the man is her dad and the three boys behind her are the ghosts/phantoms!

You should watch any of the songs where the entire band performs, “Bright”, “Edge of Great”, “Finally Free”, and “Stand Tall”. “Now or Never” is a good one too, which is just the boys performing.
It's Julie dad and her brother but behind her was, 3 ghost Luke, Alex and Reggie. They died in the 90s Julie brought them back listening to their music, they become a band that can only be seen when they play with Julie.

all the songs in Julie and the Phantoms aren’t pre recorded there actually live which I loved that Kenny Ortega did that
Julie hasnt sang in years bc her mom was very musical and she died. This was the first time she sang in a while and the song was actually written by her mom (she found the sheet and was singing from it). Thats why she keeps looking up (to look at her mum in heaven/sky)
The first man that appeared is her dad and the second is her brother so they are over the moon to hear her sing.
The three guys at the end are the phantoms or ghosts that only julie can see and that appeared in her life bc when they were alive in 1995, they rehearsed as a band in that space she was singing in (her mom's studio)
So obviously they then become the band Julie and The Phantoms
madison reyes is only 16 and she is so so talented it's crazy how she has never done anything else
And the fact that she was 15 when filming

I've become obsessed with this show during the last week or so, for the auditions they literally looked to make a band - the actors all legit play and sing and they've even written and helped compose some of the songs, the talent is outstanding. So glad you're watching these!
Background: This is her first song she sung after her mom passed, her mom wrote this song for her( in the show of course)

When I watched the show, I was so shocked the first time I heard her singing this song. Her voice is so amazing. I replayed this scene a few times the first time I watched it. The "stalkers" are actually ghosts.
This is my favorite song from this show. I absolutely feel in love with it after seeing it for the first time. This scene is so beautiful

I'm so happy your reacted to julie and the phantoms! It is based of a Brazilian tv show from 2011, it's so good! I would suggest another song for you to react but they're all amazing, I think the sing bright is a good option, it showcase the actors talent so much, also stand tall where all 4 actors from the "band" sing
In addition to watching the show for context, I would highly recommend taking a look at/reacting to the acoustic versions of Bright and Edge of Great. Both really highlight the cast’s voices. They’re all incredibly talented

I don’t know if anyone has noticed this but if you see in unsaid Emily, when Luke leaves/runs away there are Christmas decorations. Meaning he ran away around December and then they died July when Julie searched them up. Meaning Luke has been missing for 7-8 months. And if you see in the first episode when they are eating the hotdogs you can see a missing sign of Luke explaining that Luke hasn’t come home since December.. now where has he been living this entire time? Cant be with Reggie because Reggie said he’s house got turned into a surf shop. Luke has been living in Julie’s studio, that also explains why he said “my couch!” So who was Luke living with? Bobby or Alex? Another thing some people may not have noticed is Luke has a tie around his arm in the first song and through the rest of the episodes/songs he doesn’t but as soon as stand tall comes he has the wristband again? What if that wristband has something to do in the future?
Just my thoughts/guesses unless I’m going crazy LOL
I know it’s been 2 years, but I don’t think it’s with Alex either because he was kicked out by his homophobic parents
the boys that were behind julie while she was singing weren't "stalkers", they were the phantoms that because they all died by eating a bad hotdog 25 years ago they ended up in julie's household in her mom's studio (who passed away). the boys were in a band called "sunset curve" before meeting julie. so, in this scene, which was the first episode of the series, the boys had just met julie and were getting to know her voice and find out that she has a real gift for music and has an amazing voice (you'll ned to watch her other musical JATP performances to prove my statement :)). you're welcome. you should really watch the series, it's really good (the boys are called Luke, Reggie and Alex)

I love you videos so much. It would mean so much to me if you could react and break down the singing in ‘Why Don’t We - at Warner Music Japan’. They do a few song there but my favorite are ‘I don’t belong in this club’ and ‘8 letters’. They are acoustic versions of there own song and the harmonies are amazing. This band means so much to me so it would make my day if you watched them. They also did mashups which are amazing. I recommend the video ‘Why Don’t We Mashups (2018)’ thank you so much
