About Julie & The Phantoms:
ulie and the Phantoms is an American musical comedy-drama television series created by Dan Cross and David Hoge that was released via streaming on Netflix on September 10, 2020. The series is based on the Brazilian television series Julie e os Fantasmas. It's 1995, the band Sunset Curve is performing "Now or Never" at a soundcheck before performing later at the Orpheum in Los Angeles. Three of the bandmates go get "street dogs" while the fourth bandmate, Bobby, stays back to talk to Rose, a pretty young bartender. Luke, Alex, and Reggie eat "street dogs", which turn out to be rancid causing their deaths. Now 25 years later, a teenager named Julie Molina is unable to play music since her mother's passing a year prior, which results in her dismissal from her school's music program. While going through her mother's stuff in her family's garage studio, she finds a Sunset Curve CD and listens to it. Playing the CD summons the three deceased Sunset Curve members as ghosts. Julie freaks out. The band thinks they died last night but Julie shows them an article stating they died 25 years ago. Later that day, Julie sits down at her mother's piano and plays a song her mother wrote for her. Unbeknownst to her, the boys watch her play, incredulous that the person who can see them is a talented musician as well.

I don’t know if anyone has noticed this but if you see in unsaid Emily, when Luke leaves/runs away there are Christmas decorations. Meaning he ran away around December and then they died July when Julie searched them up. Meaning Luke has been missing for 7-8 months. And if you see in the first episode when they are eating the hotdogs you can see a missing sign of Luke explaining that Luke hasn’t come home since December.. now where has he been living this entire time? Cant be with Reggie because Reggie said he’s house got turned into a surf shop. Luke has been living in Julie’s studio, that also explains why he said “my couch!” So who was Luke living with? Bobby or Alex? Another thing some people may not have noticed is Luke has a tie around his arm in the first song and through the rest of the episodes/songs he doesn’t but as soon as stand tall comes he has the wristband again? What if that wristband has something to do in the future?
Just my thoughts/guesses unless I’m going crazy LOL

I’m pretty sure it was Bobby’s house. If it was Alex’s old house, I think he would have reacted more to the house than he does. But it’s Luke that said «I like what you’ve done with the place», Alex react just as little to it as Reggie does. Even if he has really bad memories there, he would be more uneasy, not curiously looking around with the exact same interest as Reggie

I think that Julie's mom was involved with Bobby. They got together after the guys died but when Rose realized that Bobby intended to release the album without even mentioning the guys was pissed and broke up with him. So, I think she somehow sent the guys to her daughter in order to help her get back to music and for the guys to get the redemption they deserve.
I think it's the mother. The young lady from the beginning of the show. That's how they are connected. My thoughts on this.

PLUS that girl mentions she has been in bands so Rose and the Petal Pushers is clearly one of her bands

They explain all the connections in the series. Her mum was the barmaid in the club at the beginning, Bobby stole Lukes music and Julie and her mum loved the songs, which unknown to them, were written by Luke. So when her mother died and she struggled with playing and she played their cd they came to help since Lukes songs were the ones her and her mum loved, even though they were stolen and played by Bobby. That's why there is such a strong connection between her and Luke and the boys. Pretty much the universe knew Luke and the boys could help her. With maybe a little help from her mum who's watching over her.❤
With the question of Carlos ever knowing about Julie and the Boys, well the show pretty much shows that Carlos figures everything out on his own. And about Julie being the only one who can see them. I think its because she is the one who played the CD that basically summoned them. Aswell as the entire scenario of Julie's mom sending them to help Julie, and the undenyable connection all 4 of them have with music. In a past video I saw a theory that the reason Reggie likes Julies dad so much is because he could possibly be Reggies brother, It also said that Julies dad would have had to be young for Reggie not to recognize him. But if Ray was little when Reggie died, and Rose is suspected to be Julies mother then that could not possibly work. Ray would have to be the same or near the same age as Rose. So when, Bobby and the boys met Rose they were roughly the same age as her meaning Ray would have had to be around the same age as all of them. I genuinley love this show! And cannot explain how excited I am for season 2 or for the oncoing seasons.

Ok so I think Julie can see them because she played the cd 💿 of sunset curve also because she is the one spirituality connected to music she can see them
They also suggest that she can see them because she is somehow linked to their unfinished business. My theory is their unfinished business might be linked to a mystery that has yet to be revealed and Julie alone, unknowingly knows some key information to solving it and allowing the boys to cross over.
@@shootingcomet082 Personally, and ik I may be wrong lol but, I think their unfinished business is getting recognition for their songs. The reason they wanted to play the Orpheum, is because they wanted recognition that making this band wasn't all for nothing. They wanted acceptance. Bobby taking ownership of their music without credit, really made their goal an unfinished business. At least, that's my opinion. Ik I can be 100% wrong on this but, I feel like that's what it is. Honestly, I hope I'm wrong because if that's it, then we won't get anything past season 2 rotfl.

When Julie opened a box of her mom's stuff searching for an outfit, there was a concert ticket taped to the box that read "Rose and the petal pushers" Also at the beginning of the show, Rose had mentioned that she had been in a few bands, implying that "Rose and the petal pushers" were one of them. It would also explain why her mom had a Sunset Curve T-shirt. I apologize if you had noticed this information, I just wanted to point it out for those who didn't know.
@@bittersweetrory4685 Yeah but, as the video points out, if it was as simple as Julie can see them because their unfinished business is connected to Julie's mom (totally agree that its Rose) then the entire family should be able to see them. For this reason I think that it has to be something unique to Julie.

I have a theory that the reason why she can see them is because her mom was mad at Bobby for betraying the group and not crediting them so julies mom took it upon herself to comfort their families that might explain the dahlia flower in Luke’s families house so maybe their unfinished business is to help Julie just like her mom helped their families

I can’t express how much I love this show!! I love the cast and crew and everything about it! I am obsessed with the music! This show deserves a season 2 for all their hard work!

Owen posted on his Instagram, a script from his audition. It addressed how old the ghosts are. I think Reggie made the realization on how old they are.

I 100% thought Rose from the first episode was Julie's mom, and that the last demo they gave out before they died to Rose was the one Julie played, thus the connection and a tether to the world of the living. And that Julie's connection to her mom and her own talent is why she can see them.
Same but I figured something out I think. Remember the scene at the Hollywood ghost club where Caleb goes to some woman and says darling you look amazing? Well if you look closely at the woman, she kind of looks like rose from the first episode. So...there might be a connection there. I mean it is possible that Rose got trapped with Caleb Covington but who knows

My sis & I are over 60 and thoroughly enjoyed Julie and the Phantoms. The storyline is entertaining, intriguing and funny. The music is amazing and really took us back, we finished it in one evening, I’ve downloaded the music & listen often. We can’t wait for season 2, it’s got to have the country song...lol Netflix, you got a hit. 👏👏👏
what I will say is I loved the movie " Julie and the phantoms" I've watched it many times . And I still wanna see it again and again. they are so lovely together . I hope season 2 is coming up soon.

I think they should have kept that deleted scene because it would have showed that she needed music more than ever that she would have needed the boys more than ever it would have added a lot to the show emotionally I think.

I have a theory about how Julie can see ghosts - Her mother died in the music place and it was where Luke, Reggie and Alex used to practice their music so she was connected and she can talk to them cause of her connection
also the t-shirt that they gave her back then was the same one as the one that julie and flynn found in the chest of her moms old clothes but the mom bedazzled the shirt to kind of make it her own style.:)

We really need a season 2. I went to my grandson’s graduation and they played some of the songs from this movie. We really need to know where the band goes from here. Actually the series wasn’t created by Kenny Ortega, it’s originally a brazilian series from 2011 called “Julie e os Fantasmas”. I have to say that due to monetary reasons this version is a lot better than the original one, but he didn’t created it.

they should get a season two.
Usually Netflix has a season 2 for there shows. The only way it wouldn't get a season 2 is if it tanked really bad. And so far I don't think this show has tanked. Anytime I see something about Julie and the Phantoms I'm seeing lots of comments talking about how there needs to be a season 2 so I'm sure its gonna get it. Getting anymore seasons after the second season will probably be tough
The reason why only julie can see the phantoms is because she loves their music since Bobby from sunset curve started producing sunset curve's music 🎶and that gives her the opportunity to connect and see the the phantoms.
